DM What's The Matter with Margo?

Something was very strange in the Gru residence. Margo wasn't eating her breakfast. ''Margo, what's de matter?'' Gru asked. ''I feel very tired'' Margo mumbled, ''my head hurts and I'm going to lay down'', and with that. Margo wobbled over to the settee and lay down.

''Lucy what is wrong with Margo?'' Gru questioned his wife. ''I don't know'' Lucy said worriedly. She went over to Margo who was lying quit still. Hey, Margo, you all right?'' she asked. ''No, Mom'' Margo groaned, ''I don't feel very well''. Lucy felt Margo's head.
''You feel warm sweetie'' she frowned, ''I think we'd better go and have you checked out at the doctor's''. 'Ok Mom'' sighed Margo.

''I'll take you there now'' Lucy said, ''Come and get in the car sweetie''. That afternoon, Lucy and Margo drove the short distance to the doctor's clinic and headed inside. Hello. How can I help you?" asked the receptionist at the desk in the waiting room. ''Hello, yes, my daughter isn't feeling well'' Lucy explained. ''Can she see the doctor today please?''.

''Sure, of course" said the receptionist, ''Take a seat please''. Lucy and Margo sat in the waiting room with other people. At last, the doctor was ready to see Lucy and Margo.

''Hello'' she smiled as Lucy and Margo entered her room, ''what is the matter child?''. "Margo is not feeling well" Lucy explained. ''Mom. I'm scared!'' Margo whispered to Lucy. Lucy stroked her daughter's hair and gave her a hug. "It's going to be OK, Margo'' she said, ''The doctor is gonna help you''.

''Come on Margo, let's take a look at you'' said the doctor, 'First I'll look in your ears, tip your head to one side for me please''. She told Margo to tip her head to each side so she could look in each of her ears.

''Now let's take your temperature, open your mouth sweetie'' said the doctor. ''I'm gonna sitck this digital thermometer under your tongue ''.
Margo stuck out her tongue, saying,''Ahhhhh''.

'Now Margo, I just need to listen to your heart and lungs so can you take your jacket off and lift up your shirt for me'' the doctor said. Margo did so, allowing the doctor to check her heartbeat and breathing. ''Breath in, breath out'' the doctor said.

"So, how is she, doc?" Lucy asked, afterwards. ''It sounds like Margo maybe feeling dehydrated'' the doctor replied, ''Other than that, she's a very healthy girl!''. ''Ok'' Lucy replied. ''Thank you, that's a relief. Well goodbye''.

''Goodbye'' called the doctor, ''Well done Margo, you did really well today!''. On the way out, Lucy said to Margo, 'You were very brave in there honey''. "Thanks, Mom" said Margo.

On the way home, Lucy brought Margo a bottle of water, so as to get her thirst quenched, and soon Margo was feeling much better. Gru was very relieved to find that it had been nothing serious. Just then, They heard a yelp in pain. Gru ran to see why. He found Edith sitting at the bottom of the stairs, clutching her arm and sniffing.

''Ok what have you done dis time?'' Gru asked. ''I fell down'' Edith sniffed pointing to the stairs, ''I banged my arm, and it really hurts''. ''Lucy!'' Gru barked, 'we need the first aid box, Edith roll up your sleeve please''. Edith couldn't help wincing as Gru felt her arm for broken bones. ''Well Edith'' Gru said, ''luckily I can't feel any broken bones, you might have just bruised your arm''.

''Hold out that arm sweetie'' Lucy said, opening the first aid box. Edith bit her tongue as her mother wrapped her arm in a bandage.
Later on, as Edith was resting on the settee, Kyle came bouncing up and started licking away her tears, Edith couldn't help giggling. ''Hey that tickles'' she exclaimed. Gru and Lucy just looked at each other, everybody was alright.
