About three weeks went by and things we getting back to normal. Except for the one small fact that Hayley's was getting married in two years. Zack and I have been stronger than ever.
Today was any other Saturday. I drove the girls to dance and watched for two hours (an hour each), then went home and made lunch. Zack had to work and I was home with the kids until 10pm when Zack got home. He walked into our room and I said, "Where the hell have you been?"
"Work, I'm sorry babe." He said
"What are you doing now?" I asked
"More work. I will probably come to bed in about 3 hours. I love you." He said
"Sleep on the couch." I said throwing his pillow at him with a blanket
"Woah bitch alert." He said immediately regretting it
"Get the hell out!" I yelled with tears in my eyes
"Damnit Maya I'm sorry had to work. Maybe you should have married Blake. You seem to like him a lot better then me." Zack said
"This has nothing to do with work." I said as he left
"Maya can we talk?" Zack asked
"No.." I said
I knew I had a few options; 1.) Take the kids and myself to my parents house. 2.) forgive Zack 3.) I don't need one
I went downstairs wipe the babies were napping and and the girls we playing babies. I ran up to Zack and said, "I'm sorry. I was mad that you called me a bitch. I'm sorry Zack. We need to work on improving our relationship for out kids sake. So I've been thinking... Me and you take a trip somewhere.." I said
"Where to?" He asked
"Anywhere." I said
"Road trip or flying?" Zack questioned me
"I don't fucking care." I said
"Maya.. Are you pregnant? You're very noddy lately ." Zack said
I couldn't stand this any longer. "I'm not fucking pregnant. I'm on my period. You know blood coming out of my vagina." I said and Zack rolled his eyes
"Babe.. I'll be back soon." Zack said leaving the house
About an hour later Zack walked back in the house. He walked to the kitchen where I was and handed me 12 long stem roses, chocolate, campfire mocha from caribou, tampons, and a sweatshirt from pink.
"Thank you Zack. I didn't need all this." I said
"I know but it felt like the right time, to show I love you." He said kissing me
"Now you go out shopping. We're going to the Bahamas next Monday." Zack said and that was like less then two weeks.
"Really?" I asked
"Yes, you and me for a week alone." Zack said
"I can't wait. No kids just us focusing on each other." I said
I took Caden and Emma withe me to the mall. I spent about $300 on clothes for me.
Today Zack and I were leaving. Carey and Arwin were staying at our house to watch the kids. We hugged and kissed out kids goodbye and then we got on the plane. I sat next to my husband and put my head on his shoulder and whispered in his ear, "We aren't coming home with another little human in nine months."
"I promise you we won't."
The week seemed to go by slow as I missed the kids like crazy. So far Zack and I had improved out marriage. Tonight was our last night here and I knew I had to do something special for Zack. I put on my white lace dress and walked out of the bathroom. We had sex and then fell asleep. The next day we woke up and got ready to leave to go back home. Before we left Zack gave me a charm bracelet with charms for our wedding, when out four kids were born, and a few other important dates.
"Zack it's beautiful!" I said kissing him
"Not as beautiful as you." Zack said
"I love you so much. We really didn't need this trip." I told Zack then added, "I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I thought our marriage was falling apart, it's not.. I love you so much Zack." I said crying
"I love you too Maya! Now we have a plane to catch." He said and a few hours later we were waiting for our plane to be called when Zack got a notification. It was a kik from Kallie a picture message.
"Why the hell are you still talking to Kallie?" I snapped at him
"I swear I haven't talked to her since the last you've know." Zack said
"Okay. I trust you." I told Zack
"Really?" He asked
"Yes." I replied
"Well just for you lets see what she sent." Zack said opening the message
"Umm Maya.." Zack said showing me the picture
"I swear I haven't talked to her. See read my messages." Zack said handing me his phone
"First off, I trust you. I don't need to read your messages. Second why would she send you a picture of her tits?" I asked talking quiet
"I have no idea Maya. But this is your last chance to want to read the messages because I'm deleting them. So here, I'm going to go to the bathroom and I'm leaving my phone here in case you want to peek." Zack said leaving
I deleted them. He came back and saw them gone.
"I didn't read them. I deleted them. I trust you Zack." I said
"Thank you beautiful. I knew there was a reason I loved you." Zack said kissing my hand
"Shut up." I said teasing
"I'm just glad you didn't read the messages and see my dick pics to her." Zack said kidding then be added, "I'm kidding, you know I would never do that." Zack said
"Maybe I should have read them." I said kissing him
"Attention passengers in flight A383- the flight has been cancelled and there in no flight leaving here for two days and hotels are full. So get comphy here because this is the gate you will be at. Your luggage will be returned to you asap. Thank you." Said a woman
"I'll go get the luggage and you call my parents and let them know." Zack said
I called Carey.
"Hello?" Said Carey
"Hey it me, our flight was canceled. We will be on the next plane out in two days. So can you Stick around for an extra two days?" I asked my mother in law
"Of course, the twins are napping and the two oldest are with your sister today. Do you want us to call you tonight when the kids are all here?" Carry asked
"Yes." I said with tears
"I will. Have fun with Zack, not too much fun though." She said
"Thanks again Carey." I said
"No problem."
"Bye"
I hung up and Zack came back with two suitcases.
He saw me crying and sat down and hugged me.
"I miss our babies." I cried
"I do too, but I'm glad I have my beautiful wife here with me." Zack said
"How can we sleep here?" I asked
"Well, you have your blanket, this chair, and my shoulder or lap." Zack said kissing my forehead
"I'm just glad the kids aren't here. At least not for this part." I said
"Well we are stuck here. I wish we could leave." Zack said
"Me too, I have an idea. You tell me all the girls you've dated even then we might run out of time." I said joking
"Okay ready.. Maya." Zack said
"What?" I asked
"You're the only girl I want to remember dating because none of those other girls matter. I love you Maya."
"Ahh Zacky you can be romantic even here." I said
That night went by and with the two chairs Zack sat up and I had my head curled up on Zack's shoulder. That morning at 6 am I went and got food for me and Zack. We ate and then talked about our kids.
"You know when I got pregnant with Aliah I thought you were going to marry Kallie. I never thought we would get married." I told Zack
"I always knew that I would have a baby young, but I never pictured it like this. I always thought it would be with some girl who I didn't care about and I would never meet my kid. I'm so happy that it was with you. I love you Maya and I'm sorry for how I've acted since we've been married. It's crazy how many times we've fought and almost gotten divorced. Promise me no more dumb almost divorcing?" Zack asked
"I promise you! I love you so much. It just sucks that we are stuck here. I miss the kids so much."
"I do too, but I'm sure they are having fun with my mom, Arwin, and your sister when she was there. Speaking of kids, how many kids do you want if you want anymore."
"Zack we have four kids right now and their all still very young. I don't think we need anymore kids for a few years." I told Zack
"I guess you're right."
"You guess?" I said laughing then added, "But I do want one more baby when Aliah is about 11 to 13." I said blushing
"Oh but then you'll want one more baby because he or she will be so far away in age." Zack added
"You know me so well, but I don't want to have six kids. That's only your brother and Bailey who want to have a kid every year."
The next day at 3pm we finally got on the plane and flew home. Once we got home all the kids came and hugged us as they missed us like crazy.
Another year went by and Aliah was now seven and in first grade, Emma was 5 and starting Kindergarden, the twins just turned 3 and we're doing preschool three days a week.
Today I got called in to have a meeting with the principal regarding Aliah and Emma. I showed up with the twins and Zack was already there.
"Mr. And Mrs. Martin, Aliah and Emma are wonderful students but we've been observing that you being her parents aren't involved in their lives." Said her principal
"Excuse me? What does that mean?" I asked
"Maya don't be offended, it's just that Aliah and Emma seem to always share about you being away, or Zack working. Aliah also shared that you and your husband went on a trip last year." He said
"Okay, first of all you have no right to call me and my husband in here and tell us we aren't involved in our draughts lives because we are. We have four kids and we love each of them equally and we are involved in their lives. Yeah I've traveled for work, twice. Zack works but he's only gone for about six to eight hours a day." I said getting very mad
"I see but we think it would be best..." Zack cut him off
"Excuse us but this isn't necessary because our daughters will be put into a new school." Zack said getting up and calling our girls down they came up and hugged us.
"Mommy! Look what I made you!" Emma said handing me a picture
"It's beautiful sweetie, thank you!" I said
I pushed the stroller with the twins in it and Zack walked with the girls out to the cars.
"Honey, I'm going home so I will take the boys and Aliah home and you can take Emma and meet Bailey like you planed." Zack said
I got Emma in the back of my edge and Zack took the other three in the suburban. I was meeting Bailey at her house.
While we were there Emma went with Savannah and I sat and talked to Bailey.
"So I'm pregnant with baby number two!" Bailey squealed
"Congratulations!" I said hugging her
"Yeah Cody was thrilled as Anna is turning three in two months."
"So was this baby planned?" I asked
"Not at first. We've been trying for a while." Bailey said
"So do you want a boy or girl?" I asked
"I'll be happy with either"
"You want one a tiny bit more."
"Well a girl would be nice so Savanna would have someone to play and talk to when the baby gets older but I do want a boy so Cody can teach him to play football and baseball." Bailey said I started laughing
"I'm sorry but Cody and sports, if anything he'll teach you boys how to work a calculator."
"Well then he'll need his uncle Zack to come teach him. And Anna will need her Aunt Maya to give her the talk." Bailey said smiling
"Oh sure so Zack gets sports and I get the talk." I said to my sister in law
"I'm kidding Maya, now you need to tell me what happened on your trip."
I told her something's, I didn't go into detail and kept some things out. About an hour later I arrived back home with Emma.
"So how was seeing farm girl?" Zack questioned
"Farm girl? Really Zack?!"
"Hey I used to have a crush on her. When she came on the ship as a guy then I found out she was a girl."
"I know all about that."
"How do you know?" Zack asked
"That shall remain a mystery." I said starting to cook dinner
I cooked while the girls played. Zack was registering the girls into a new school starting in a week. The twins were watching cartoons.
"Babe I've been thinking a lot about us and how far we've came since senior year. I decided it was time to show you this." Zack said handing his phone
"Why do you have a picture of Kallie with a baby?" I asked
"Because she had a baby... That's..." Zack trailed off
"That's what?" I asked
"That baby is Blake's." He said
"Oh my god. I thought you were going to say the baby was yours. But I thought Blake and Olivia were together and expecting?"
"They are, he's screwed." Zack said as we both started laughing
