Zack's POV

I was at work now and my phone rang. I thought it was my boss do I answered it and boy was I wrong.

"Hello?" I said I to my cell phone

"Hi are you Zachary Martin?" Asked a woman's voice

"Yeah, why?" I asked

"Your wife is in the hospital she is unconscious as she was in a car accident." The lady said and my heart stopped after she said that I ran out to my car and I drove to the hospital.

"I'm on my way." I said hanging up

I sped there and ran as fast as I could to the front desk.

"Where is Maya Martin's room?" I asked

"Whom are you?" Asked an elderly woman at the front desk

"Her husband, where is she?" I asked

"In the ICU on floor 3 room 194."

I finally got to her room and saw my wife laying in a hospital bed unconscious.

I grabbed her hand and said to her, "Maya you need to wake up. I need you.." I started crying and I couldn't stop. "Our kids need you. Please wake up." I played with her hair and held her hand.

I decided to call my mom and have her get the kids. She panicked and wanted to come see Maya but i told her this is the best thing she can do to help.

Maya's parents walked in and so did Kirsten and Hayley,

"Oh my gosh..." Hayley said crying hugging Kirsten

I got up and hugged both of Maya's sisters and then to my surprise Maya's dad hugged me and then her crying mom.

"Is she going to be okay?" Kirsten cried

The doctor replied with, "We don't know.. She doesn't have any broken bones which is amazing after seeing how severe the accident was. If there were any other passengers in the car they for sure wouldn't have made it. We're doing our best."

Later on Maya's family went and stayed at our house not telling the kids right now. We didn't want them to worry.

I was alone with my wife and I grabbed her hand and started talking, "Maya, this has given me a lot of time to think about is. I have so many regrets with you and I'm so sorry... I'm sorry I haven't given you a perfect life.. You know when I was younger I was a player and well I never thought I would be able to get married and have kids because I never thought I would ever find the perfect girl. When I first saw you, I knew you were her. Thank you for everything you have done for me, for our family and for us. I couldn't imagine not having you... You need to wake up baby. Our babies miss you and so do I." I said

"Zack.. It's been a week and there's no improvement.. Do you want to keep her on life support?" The nurse asked

"I need to talk to her family." I replied and then told her to send her parents in here

"They want to take her off life support.." I said and then I broke down bawling in front of my wife's parents.

Maya's mom hugged her husband and cried.

"If she isn't going to make it we can't keep her on life support forever." Melissa Bennett said

"I think we leave it on for at least another two days.." I said

"Zack, you can't keep her like that forever. But I agree two days.." said and we told the nurse

Maya's dad and I were walking down the hallway and he was talking, "Listen.. I know we've never really gotten along. Years ago I told you that you ruined Maya's life.. You didn't.. I thought you did but she was so lucky to find a guy like you Zack. I'm honored to call you my son-in-law. Thank for for taking care of her all these years, and loving her. I know we agreed on two days and that's final but just because I don't want her in that forever doesn't mean I don't love her. I want what's best for her and everyone else. Let's get back to her." Mr. Bennett said

I stopped and cried so hard and then he hugged me and said, "Everything will be okay. You know you don't always have to seem so strong.."

"Yes I do. I need to for Maya a sour kids."

"Not right now you don't have to be."

We went back in her room and I grabbed her hand and I said, "I love you so much Maya.."

Later on Maya's parents left and my mom came.

"Zack..." She said seeing Maya

"I know.. Mom please make her all better. Make her okay. Please." I cried

"I'm sorry but I can't Zack." She said moving Maya's hair out of her face

"I cannot lose her mom. Please.." I said on the verge of bawling

My mom hugged me and said, "Maya is strong but maybe it's her time to go Zack. You need to accept the fact that she might not make it. I know how hard that is but you don't want to stay here in this hospital for the rest of your life with Maya who can't do anything. You need to be there for your kids." My mom said

"Should I let the kids see Maya?" I asked

"I don't know yet. If they are for sure switching the life support off then maybe but as of right now no."

They were going to take Maya off live support and I went in to her room and grabbed both of her hands.

"Maya I love you so much. You can't leave me here alone.. I need you and so do it kids. They can't grow up without a mom, especially a mom as amazing as you are. I know that you will always love our kids no matter what happens between us. We started out as a young crazy in love couple, then to two people who were only together because of Aliah, now we are a happily married and have four amazing children. I love you so much Maya and just know that what we're doing is best for you and only you. I love you Maya and I always will. I want you know know you'll always be mine and after this just know I will never move on and I promise to take care of our kids for the rest of my life. Maya Elizabeth Martin, I will love you affected and always.

I went our and got the doctor and said the harder words ever, "We're ready.."

The doctor came in and checked a few things then she counted started to unhook Maya from life support. At this point I was bawling and my life was also ending.
