Kaoru blinked as he spotted his dad in the kitchen as he eat breakfast. "Morning dad."
"Hey son." He smiled. "Sleep well?" He shrugged indifferently in answer. "Well what do you say to coming to work with me for a bit? Some father son bonding time."
Kaoru blinked. Hikaru was still asleep surprisingly and he was bored. "Sure dad. Should I go wake up Hikaru?"
"No let him sleep. We can just have some you and me time."
Kaoru blinked. He had hardly ever spent time with out Hikaru. "Uh... I'll leave a note for him." Kaoru said getting up to get ready. Once he was ready he followed his dad to the car and they drove off. "So what are you doing today?"
"A customer needs an updated software for his company's planes. So I told him I'd come take care of it."
Kaoru sighed starting to regret coming. He looked out the window as they drove up to the airport. He got out after his dad and followed him towards the man standing there waiting. He was tall and had black hair and blue eyes. Kaoru couldn't put it, but there was something familiar about the man. He shrugged it off and followed his dad into the main office.
"Who's this?" The man asked.
"Arthur this is my son Kaoru. Kaoru this is Arthur Jones. The owner of Luinous Airline."
"Hey." Kaoru nodded slightly getting more and more bored. He glanced over and froze as three girls came walking up. Two of them looked just like Arthur and were older than Kaoru. The first one looked to be about 24, and the second about 20. The third girl was Luc.
"Dad!" The oldest one frowned. "You forgot your lunch again."
"Oh thank you Alice." He said accepting the bagged lunch. "These are my daughters. Alice, Rachael, and Lucia." Arthur said almost as if he didn't fully care. "Come let us go talk business." He walked off with Kaoru's dad in line completely skipping over his daughters.
"UHG!" Luc sighed. "Let's go Alice!"
"Luc?" Kaoru asked suddenly snapping his classmate out of it.
She turned to him and blinked. "Kaoru? Or are you Hikaru?"
"Kaoru." He said calmly. "What are you doing here?"
"Dropping my dad's lunch off. Oh Alice, Rachael this is Kaoru Hitachiin. He's one of my classmates."
"Of whatever. I'm going to hang out with dad and get to know the business Alice." Rachael said hurrying after their father.
Alice sighed shaking her head. "It's nice to met you Kaoru. I'm Luc's older sister."
"Hey." He nodded finding himself no longer bored.
"Why don't you go hang out with your friend Luc. I can pick you up later."
"Okay. Bye sis…. Is that okay Kaoru?"
"Sure." He shrugged. "I was bored anyways… I should have just stayed home with Hikaru."
Luc smiled. "You two do everything together don't you?"
Kaoru nodded.
"I think that's sweet." She smiled. "I wish my family was as close…" She sighed. "As you saw my father and Rachael half the time don't even recognize I exist…. And my mom is never home… The only one who actually cares for me is Alice…"
Kaoru looked at her as they walked. "Hikaru and I have always had issues with our families too…. Our parents can't even tell us apart."
Luc looked at him and smiled. "I guess we have something similar there."
Kaoru smiled and nodded. He liked Luc. She was different from other girls, even Haruhi. He blinked watching her stare off blankly. "Luc?"
"Huh?! Oh sorry. I was thinking."
Kaoru laughed. "You space out sometimes don't you?"
"Only sometimes." She smiled as he walked next to her. It was nice. She relaxed as they walked around the airport and she pointed out what she saw as important parts or small facts she knew. Kaoru listened completely interested and asked questions every now and then. She liked it, she had never met any one like him... Even Hikaru was different. She paused. Now that she thought about it she could see the differences between the twins and smiled.
"Hey Luc!" A man called. They both turned to see a man running towards them with a box.
"Hey Ken.." She froze looking at the box and her face lit up. "Is that what I think it is?!"
"Yep." He smiled handing it to her. "Your new supplies."
Kaoru blinked. "Supplies?"
"Yep. Luc is an amazing artist. These are her new paints and brushes." Luc flushed slightly embarrassed.
"I'm not that good... I dabble a bit..." She flushed looking away.
Kaoru smiled. "I'd like to see some of your art..."
"Uh.. Maybe I'll show you some in a bit..." She nodded.
Kaoru smiled. "Alright." He nodded. "Hmm... I'm still bored... Wanna go get some food?" He asked.
"Uh... Sure..." Luc nodded shocked. Is this a date? She followed him towards a small restaurant. They sat down and ordered food. Luc watched Kaoru check his phone every now and then. "Is something wrong Kaoru?"
"I'm just surprised that Hikaru has not called me... I wonder if he's okay or if he's sick or something?"
"I'm sure he's fine." Luc smiled. "You really care about your brother don't you?"
"Yeah." He nodded. "Why?"
"I just think its nice... I already explained how I'm not very close to my family... I'm envious of that." She looked down. "Your lucky to have your brother."
"What about your sister Alice? She seems nice."
"She is... And I'm really close to her... But the age difference does cause issues... You and Hikaru are extremely close because your twins. There is no age gap."
"Yeah." Kaoru nodded slightly. "You're nice Luc... I'm sorry your family life is so horrible... You could join Hikaru's and mine." He smiled. "Yeah i'll talk to him about it! You'd like it there."
Luc laughed. "You're funny Kaoru... But I like that about you... I like everything about you."
He blinked and smiled. "I like you too Luc... You're pretty cool... For an outsider."
"Outsider?"
"Not one of us, Hikaru or Kaoru." He nodded. "It's a long story."
Luc laughed. "I get it."
"You do?"
"Yeah. The two of you are so close... It's really admirable." She smiled. Kaoru watched her shocked and smiled slightly. She really got them. It was awesome and so different. He was really starting to question his feelings. "We should do this again some time."
"Yeah... It's nice." He nodded. "I think it would be a great idea."
