Hikaru blinked waking up on his stomach, arm hanging over the side of the bed. "Hey Kaoru..." He blinked when he didn't hear his brother. "Kaoru?" He sat up and looked around. Kaoru wasn't there. He looked around and then looked at his phone. It was dead. He sighed and got up and got ready. Then he went in search of his brother around town. He wandered around bored out of his mind and glanced around.
"SERE!" An older boy yelled. He appeared to be about 19 and had dirty blonde spiked hair and light green eyes. He ran around the town frowning. "SERE!"
Hikaru shrugged and ignored the guy and continued to walk calmly. Where is Kaoru. He was interrupted as someone crashed into him. "HEY! WATCH IT!" He looked down and froze seeing Serenity. "Serenity? What are you doing here?"
"Out of my way!" She shoved him away and jumped up continuing to run. Hikaru frowned and then followed her intrigued.
He found her hiding in an alley laughing. "Hey!" He frowned. "What are you doing?"
"Hiding from my brother." She smiled.
"Your brother? Why?"
"Ty has decided he wants to try dyeing my hair and I have no care for that." She smiled. "So I'm hiding."
Hikaru laughed. Serenity laughed with him. "Why don't you dye his hair?"
"Because he won't hold still long enough for me to get to his head." She laughed. "He's a major wiggler... And he's an idiot."
Hikaru laughed. "Wow you talk so coldly about your brother."
"I love him, he's my idiot brother." She smiled. "So speaking of brothers... wheres your brother?"
"I don't know... He wasn't there when I woke up like normal." He shrugged. "I have no idea where he is. That's why I'm out here."
"And you think he's around here?"
"I figured as much..." Hikaru shrugged. "Where else could Kaoru be."
"So you are Hikaru." She smiled. "I thought so."
He blinked looking at her. "What?"
"I figured you were Hikaru, but I wasn't entirely sure." She looked around the corner and then relaxed. "I think I lost him."
Hikaru stared at her not sure what to think. She was definitely strange. His thoughts were interrupted by a laughing voice. "I found you!" The man from earlier. He rubbed Serenity's head. "What are you doing here?!"
"TY!" She frowned slapping his hands away.
Ty laughed and then looked at Hikaru. "Who's this? One of those twins you told us about? Which one? Hikaru or Kaoru?"
"This is Hikaru." Serenity sighed. "And yes he is one of the twins. Hikaru this is my older brother Ty."
"HEY!" Ty smiled. "Hikaru... So Serenity... Are you planning on inviting him to join us?"
"SHUT UP TY!" Serenity punched him in the shoulder. "Go away!"
"OH! You want some alone time with your new friend?!"
Serenity glared at her brother. "SHUT UP!"
Ty laughed. "Alright, Alright. I'll see you two later." Ty laughed and walked off. "Don't forget you need to get home early tonight." Ty smiled as he walked off.
"What was that about?" Hikaru asked.
Serenity sighed. "My brother being a complete idiot..." She smiled as she said that. "But he can't help it."
"Your brother is strange."
"So is yours!" Serenity pointed out smiling. "So what are you doing anyways? Besides looking for Kaoru? You don't have to stay here with me."
"I'm bored... So... What are you going to do now?"
"I don't know. Maybe I'll go grab some food... and then go hang out with some friends."
Hikaru blinked as she walked off suddenly ignoring him. He frowned but then followed. "Hey."
"I'm going to grab some food." She walked into a restaurant and blinked as he followed her. "What do you want?"
"I'm hungry..." He sighed. He sat down next to her and smiled looking at the menu. "Let's see what do we have there.. Hmm..."
"HEY!... Fine! But I'm not paying!" Serenity frowned.
"Fine." Hikaru frowned choosing what he wanted. "Here we go." He looked up as the waiter walked up. "I'll take this!"
Serenity sighed and gave her order as well. "He's paying for his own!" She added.
The waitress laughed and walked off. The two sat and waited in silence. When the food came they continued in silence as they ate. When they finished Serenity made sure that Hikaru paid for his own food and then they both got up and left. "Alright bye."
"Hey... I'm lost..." Hikaru frowned.
Serenity sighed. "Fine you can stick around, but first call your brother or something!"
"I forgot to charge my phone and so can I borrow yours?"
"I left it at home... Fine I'll let you borrow it later." She walked over to a field where there were a bunch of teens playing soccer. They all smiled as Serenity joined them playing. Hikaru sat and watched them. Finally he got bored and got up.
"Hey! Can I join?!"
"Sure." Serenity laughed. "Go ahead." She smirked as they played.
They enjoyed the game and continued to play and laughed. In the end Serenity's team ended up winning. Hikaru and her walked off towards her house and she laughed. "That was fun. I didn't realize you could play so well." She looked at him. "That game earned you the chance to use my phone."
Hikaru smiled. "I do admit that was fun..." He looked at her. "Your strange sometimes you know."
"What's that suppose to mean?!" She frowned at him.
He shrugged. "Nothing."
Serenity sighed and walked into the house. "Home! I brought a classmate." She called.
A man walked up and blinked. "Hello... Who's this?"
"My name is Hikaru Hi-."
"He's a classmate borrowing my phone." Serenity said calmly. "Come on Hikaru. I'll get you my phone." She led him upstairs and handed him the phone.
Hikaru dialed and waited. "Hey Kaoru... Oh so that's where you've been all day...I'll see you later then... I'm over at Serenity's place. I'll talk to you later then." He hung up. "I guess I'll head home."
"Yeah... See you at school." She said and walked him downstairs. "Bye."
"Bye." He shrugged and walked out. "I can find my way home from here."
"Alright." Serenity nodded. "See you." She watched him leave and sighed. "That idiot."
"You like him." Ty said suddenly behind her.
"HEY! Shut up." She flushed.
"It's true... But I don't think he has yet discovered his feelings... Sorry bout that one."
"It's fine..." Serenity sighed. "I'll figure it out."
"Well I like him." Ty smiled.
Serenity smiled.
