Ryo looked at the door to Kyouya's house and shifted a little nervously. She thought back to the last few days. Haruhi had skipped the school day after the whole Tamaki's fiasco in his father's office… and then yesterday Haruhi had come to school wearing her grandfather's glasses, father's clothes, and had tousled hair. Ryo had seen her like that before, but it had been a long time. It left Ryo feeling a little sad. She knew it was for Tamaki… but the whole situation was worrying her.

"Hello?" A long black haired girl asked opening the door.

"Uh hi… I'm here to see Kyouya." Ryo said a little nervous.

"OH!" The girl gasped. "Are you Ryoko?!" Ryo nodded slowly. "It's so great to meet you!" The woman smiled. "I'm Kyouya's older sister Fuyumi!"

"Oh!" Ryo smiled. "It's nice to meet you too." Ryo lightened up a little.

"Come on in!" Fuyumi smiled and let Ryo walk in. "Kyouya!" She called. "Your girlfriend is here!"

Ryo smiled as she watched Kyouya walk around the corner and sighed. "Fuyumi shouldn't you be at your own home?"

"I came by for a visit! And I'm so glad! Now I get to meet Ryoko here!"

Kyouya sighed again and Ryo smiled. "It's okay Kyouya… I'm glad that I got to meet your sister too… Now all I need to meet is your brothers and father…"

Kyouya frowned. "…Maybe another time… The others will be getting here soon… Fuyumi you can leave now." Kyouya said taking Ryo's hand and leading her into another room.

"You didn't have to push your sister away." Ryo whispered.

"I don't really want her and just us to be in the same room right now." Kyouya grumbled. "She might almost be as bad as Tamaki…" Kyouya went silent and Ryo smiled.

"Are you embarrassed by your sister's teasing?" Ryo laughed happily and hugged him. "I love you…"

Kyouya smiled gently. "Come on… The others will be here shortly."

"….And this is all that Kaoru and I were able to find out about it." Kyouya said as the meeting began. "Tamaki himself doesn't know this? But his mother, Ms. Anne Sophie, is affected by Slez Syndrome."

"What?" Serenity interrupted. "Is that?"

Kyouya sighed. "It's a disease that makes one physically weak. There is no current cure for it."

"Oh…" Luc whispered. "And Tamaki's mom suffers from it… How sad…"

"Most likely." Kyouya coughed. "Now as I was saying… It's possible that, at the time I met her five months ago, the symptoms were lessened only superficially but the physician who was in charge of her previously, Doctor Allemand, is unreachable. And the man who was Mr. Yuzuru's right hand, Mr. Nakagaichi, is still impossible to locate."

"Um…" Yukki raised her hand and Kyouya glared at her for interrupting him.

"Everything surrounding this case is too unnatural and I also have other doubts the one who is under Mr. Yuzuru and who is also ready to do whatever the president says, Lawyer Kousaka… why is Mr. Yuzuru giving a silent approval to what she is doing?" Kyouya continued. "Separating Tamaki from his mother, making him enter the main house even if he is not being acknowledged by the president… Why isn't he doing anything about this? The Headmaster might just be waiting for something… But for what exactly? And I'm unable to find this out which is why I need your help."

Everyone started at him for a moment as if trying to completely digest what Kyouya had just said. "But if the symptoms of Tamaki-Senpai's mother were not simply in remission… could there be any other reason why it was like that?" Haruhi asked quickly.

"Aaah. Haruhi… you…" Kaoru gasped. "Could you at least not have this appearance when you're with us?" He gestured to her same outfit she had been wearing at school.

"But I didn't bring any contact lenses so it's impossible." Haruhi said calmly.

Tsukiko chuckled. "It's not that bad Kaoru."

"I know I know Kyouya-Chan! How about a miraculous explanation?" Honey asked, pulling the conversation back to Tamaki's mom, raising his hand. "For example, Tama-Chan's mum's disease got better thanks to a miracle you know... there are stories about cancer disappearing right?"

"I won't say that it doesn't happen sometimes but I doubt this is one of those cases." Kyouya said calmly.

"Then what could it be?" Ryo whispered, moving closer to Kyouya.

"What about… experiments on human bodies?" Hikaru said darkly and seriously.

"Only you could come up with that theory." Serenity frowned at Hikaru.

"Hikaru…" Kaoru blinked.

"Tono's mum could be the subject of an experiment for a new medicine…" Hikaru was shaking now. Ryo sighed. "Maybe the doctor was imprisoned and forced to work on the development of a new medicine." Suddenly he threw up his arms. "This means that the headmaster was acting suspiciously because this is a top secret matter at the national level..!"

"Hikaru! Hikaru, calm down!" Kaoru gasped. "You watch too many sci-fi movies. Experiments on human bodies… this scary subject."

"Kaoru you don't think?!" Luc gasped, grabbing Kaoru's arm.

"Actually it's possible." Kyouya said calmly. "It's called clinical trial or clinical study."

"What?!" Kaoru, Luc, Hikaru, and Serenity gasped.

"I thought about it too and resolved that it is not an impossible theory if they are trying to develop a specific cure for his mother's disease and Tamaki's mum might be somehow related to that, maybe…. This is phase 2: the clinical trial."

"Phase 2:…. The clinical trial?" Haruhi asked.

"Yes, you get to this stage after testing a medicine on animals and healthy human beings during a clinical trial you start giving the medicine to a small number of patients to examine the effects. "Kyouya explained. "If this is the case, it might be possible that the symptoms of Tamaki's mum could have changed for the better and as Hikaru said, there are chances that her former doctor might be involved in developing something like that. Doctor Allemand is someone who had researched several years about this disease."

"This is good news isn't it?" Tsukiko asked.

Kyouya nodded and the same time as Hikaru gasped. "So, it's true… experiments on humans."

"But I can't find any more information. Usually at this level, for the clinical experimentation, the news should be public it's weird that we have no leaking of the results for the research done up until the clinical experimentation. In the first place, if the Suoh's or Grantaine's company made an advance in the pharmaceutical industry, it'd be big news under every point of view. It would be something that would leak out in public right away."

"Incredible, it's no wonder you're going to become a medical student… you're already working so hard." Kaoru gasped.

"I don't plan to go into the medical field." Kyouya said calmly.

"Kyouya?!" Ryo gasped looking at him shocked.

"Eeh? What? And you say it in this direct way?" Honey gasped.

"I have two brothers both ruling over the medical sciences. I think for me it's better to aim to become a business expert." Kyouya said calmly, he gently placed his hand over Ryo's. "I plan on enrolling in a university in America. After graduation I'm thinking of attending a business school and obtaining a MBA. My brothers, or more specifically Akito believes I will always come behind him but I'm planning to reach my goal in another way." He smiled.

Ryo smiled. "And I'll support you always…"

"Excuse me, is it possible to get a list of those clinical experiments? If we could print it." Haruhi asked.

"Way to jump back to Tamaki." Serenity laughed, smiling at Haruhi.

"Everyone can get one, you just look on the internet." Kyouya nodded.

"But… I don't have a computer…" Haruhi gasped.

"Well then I'll lend you a netbook." Hikaru smiled.

"Eh? Is it okay?" Haruhi gasped.

"Sure, I already have one customized exactly for you…" Hikaru looked off.

"First idea for her birthday present?" Serenity smirked. "But decided on food in the end… and you still kept the computer." She laughed at Hikaru's slightly red face.

"Perfect, then, everyone, we can go to Haruhi's place to have a celebration and a lesson in how to use a computer!" The twins said together.

"It's been so long, we're going to eat Haruhi's homemade food again!" Honey cheered.

"Nobody said anything about food…" Haruhi gasped.

"I'll help cook." Ryo smiled placing a hand on her friend's shoulder. "Don't worry."

Haruhi sighed.

Ryo stretched as she watched Haruhi type on the computer. Kyouya was helping direct her. Everyone else had fallen asleep in the other room. Ryo glanced over and noticed Yukki leaning up against one of the walls, Honey and Tsukiko were slightly snuggled up together. Mori was sitting up against another wall. The twins were sprawled out with Serenity half way draped across Hikaru's arm and Luc snuggled up against Kaoru's side. Ryo smiled as she watched. Her only regret was that Tamaki couldn't be there too.

"WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING HERE! AT THIS LATE HOUR IN THE HOUSE OF A YOUNG GIRL!" Ryo jerked as she noticed Ranka, Haruhi's father, walking in the front door.

He grabbed the twin's collars, pushing Luc and Serenity away waking them up at the same time. "AAAH! It hurts Ranka-san please stop!" The twins yelled together.

Both Serenity and Luc chuckled together.

"Kyouya-Senpai!" Haruhi called, drawing Kyouya's attention back to the computer and away from Haruhi's father and the twins.

"What?" Ryo got up as well and moved over to Kyouya's side.

"I found this." Haruhi said.

"Wait Haruhi, help us… help!" The twins yelled.

"There is a laboratory called Anneau, it seems that three years ago, it started the 1st phase experimentation of a specific medicine for a disease of the immune system similar to the one that Tamaki-Senpai's mother has but the results are nowhere to be found." Haruhi said, ignoring the twins.

"It's plausible to think that the experiment was a failure." Kyouya said calmly.

"But last summer the laboratory was changed into a joint stock company." Haruhi read.

"How could they become a joint stock company if they had no results…? I've never heard of that pharmaceutical name." Kyouya said. Everyone looked over, Honey having just woken up. The twins were still being half strangled by Ranka. Serenity and Luc looked up from watching the twins being strangled. Tsukiko rubbed her eyes as she looked over.

"Anneau is French right?" Honey asked. "It means 'ring' or 'circle.'"

"It also means Tamaki." Mori said calmly. Ryo froze and looked at him, she wasn't the only one.

"Also… that spelling.." Kaoru said, getting away from Ranka, and pointed to the screen. "If you remove au from Anneau, it becomes Anne. The name of Tamaki's mother…"

"This can't be a coincident…" Ryo whispered.

"So the Headmaster was really backing up Grantaine's family and developing a new medicine and if they started a new company it means that the medicine is already at a stage where it can be sold. In this case, how could they possible keep it hidden…" Kyouya froze. "Is my family involved in this?"

"Kyouya?" Ryo touched his arm.

"If my father is involved in this, manipulating information would be easy for him. He is someone who would use everything and everyone… Probably the owners of Anneau pharmaceutical are the Grantaines. The Headmaster is trying to make the Grantaine family earn enormous profits thanks to the development of this new medicine. If the Graintaine family will be able to stand up alone without any help from the Suoh family, they will be able to escape from the president's control of Tamaki and Tamaki's mother would finally be free, this might be the Headmaster's first goal. But there must be another reason why they continued to keep everything secret until now it was all done in order to keep the president unaware of things. The Headmaster's greater goal is probably…" Kyouya trailed off.

"It's out, this morning's top news!" The twins yelled together, looking at their own computer screen.

Serenity moved over and read out loud. "Granaine Company announcement of the development of a new medicine… The progress in the pharmaceutical industry world. Slez syndrome that is one…" She stopped reading.

"There are no doubts now…" Kyouya gasped. "The Headmaster's real goal was the president's fall!"

Luc looked at another news's headline. "Suoh Corporation. At the board of directors meeting, the resignation of the Suoh's company president was requested?"

"What does this mean?" Tsukiko whispered. "Tamaki's grandmother… fired by her own son…. His mother free…"

"I don't think this storm is over yet." Serenity frowned.
