Cheng was panting for breath. He ran and ran and ran. He didn't look back. 'If I fail to get away, my master is going to kill me!' Cheng thought to himself. He was full of panic. He couldn't let the Furious Five or those Peacocks catch him. If they caught him their plan would be ruined.
''I should look back I should look back I should look back...'' Cheng repeated quietly under his breath.
Curiosity got the best of him. He stopped and turned around, pointing Master Oogway's staff at his surroundings.
''Thank God...'' Cheng sighed with relief, leaning against the staff.
''It would be a good idea to try and find my master.'' Cheng muttered, beginning his search.
Cheng's surroundings were quite confusing. Almost every part of it looked the same. Then gentle breeze caused the crowns of the trees above Cheng's head to sway softly and peacefully. The leaves on the ground also began to move. They moved in a dancing manner. The crowns of the trees above forbade the sun's pleasant warm rays from hitting the ground.
Cheng sat down on a nearby rock and decided to enjoy the peacefulness for as long as he could. He knew that this was a rare opportunity if he was to describe the type of job he ended up having. He did the dirty work for his master. Why was he doing this? He was asking himself the same question constantly for years.
Suddenly, he heard rustling coming from the green lush bushes of the forest. Cheng sat up and again pointed his staff at his surroundings.
''Oh no...I think they found me! Best get the heck away from here.'' Cheng muttered, panic filling up inside his body like a firework ready to launch and take to the sky.
Cheng began to run. He squished his way past the bushes. Suddenly he got knocked to the ground by something, or in fact someone.
''Get up you fool! No time for nature walks.''
Cheng looked up with wide eyes.
''Master? How did you end up here?'' Cheng asked surprised to see Lord Bohai standing before him.
''Get up Cheng. We must proceed with our plan.'' Lord Bohai ordered, kicking Cheng's ribcage with his foot.
Cheng rose up and brushed the soil and grass off of his shoulders and arms.
''You still haven't answered my question, sir.'' Cheng growled as he followed his master.
Lord Bohai stopped in his tracks and swiftly turned around to face Cheng, unsheathing one of his knives from his pockets and pointing it right at Cheng's muzzle.
''Just to tell you this, cause I don't believe I told you this before, my good friend. Watch yourself... got it? I ain't in a great mood today, and I surely won't be till our plan is successful.'' Bohai warned.
Cheng nodded quickly, gulping down the saliva down his throat.
''Then I believe it is settled.'' Cheng said, sheathing his knife back into one of his pockets and began walking again.
''I got some friends I want you to meet..'' Bohai snickered, smirking darkly.
''W-What friends?'' Cheng asked. Cheng didn't really wish to know but he knew he would find out eventually.
''Wait and see.'' Bohai smirked. ''They'll be helping us with our little plan.'' Bohai added.
Author's Note: Well, long time no see eh? I do have a couple of reasons for that. One is that I am preparing for the End of the School Year exams. Two is that I think that I have slightly lost the motivation to continue writing this story. I know I got loads of positive feedback from all of you good people out there and I am really glad that most of you are liking this story so far. But that doesn't mean that I wont update this story. I just won't be updating it as often as I used to. I mean it was three months since I last updated this story so probably most of you forgot about it. But if you are still here than yay! XD Well, bye bye from me and see you guys soon again. ^.^
