Erwin stiffened as soon as the word Blood Master came from Levi's mouth. Mikes eyes widened. Erwin then asked caufully "Where did you hear that name Levi?"
He blinked, not expecting Erwin and Mikes reaction to it.
Levi said frowning "One of the vampire said something about 'The Blood Master' before Hange killed her"
Erwin muttered to himself "The Blood Master, its been a long time since someones used that name"
"What-" Levi was about to ask but Erwin cut him of sharply.
"You will not mention that name again, you hear me Levi? Never again, if someone mentions that name its best you not get involved..." Erwin ordered, staring at him.
"Involved in what?" Levi asked, frustrated.
"Nothing of your cornern...yet. Drop it and don't think or ask about it again" Erwin said.
"But-" Levi said.
"Thats a order Levi" Erwin growled.
Once again Levi found himself unable to say anything, its like his voice just stopped working.
He thought he might be able to deal with this but it was getting so frustrating.
Why did him talking to Erwin always end up like this?
Not waiting to be dismissed Levi walked away angrily.
Both Mike and Erwin winced as the door slammed behind him.
Levi tried to calm himself down as he walked towards the medic bay, focus on one thing at a time, he told himself.
Now he had one thing to focus on first.
Oluo...
He arrived at the Medic area, a couple of trainees were being treated for injures. And two solders.
There hasn't been a mission to a nest in at least a week Levi thought. You could usually tell when the last mission to a nest had been, resulting on how many solders were injured.
There were two solders in. One looked like she'd done something to her leg, it was twisted in an odd angle.
The other solder had Hange bending over him.
Oluo.
Levi walked up to them.
He frowned as he saw a bump forming on the back of Oluo's head.
"How many times have you knocked him out since I left?" Levi asked suspiciously.
Hange just looked a little sheepish.
Levi glared at her.
"Move" He growled as he went in her place, so he could bend down next to the unconscious Oluo.
Levi waited for a few minutes then finally Oluo started to stir.
His eyes widened as he took in Levi and Hange standing before him.
Levi glanced around to check to see if anyone was near them, not seeing anyone, before Oluo could react Levi told him very coldly "You even breath a word of what you heard on the mission you may not see the next sun set you understand? What ever you may think I am still your captain and you do as I say, got it?"
Oluo said his voice trembling "You...you're a vampire"
Levi snorted at Oluo's expression "What? You think I asked for this?"
Oluo stared at him, eyes wide.
Hange was watching Oluo looking focused.
"Look, just stay here, the nurses will fix you up with that bruise on your head and make sure you don't have any damage" Levi said, giving Hange a look as he said this.
Levi turned away then "Wait" Oluo called out.
He looked back and Oluo asked hesitantly "Who, who...turned you?"
"Levi" Hange warned.
He was about to walk away and not answer however what did Erwin actually owe him?
Levi stopped.
Maybe he would have considered doing what Hange had wanted if Erwin hadn't been acting like such a asshole lately.
Maybe...
"Erwin. Erwin Smith, our beloved Commander turned me" Levi said bitterly.
Then he walked out of the medic bay, Hange running up behind him.
She was in front of him as soon as the door closed.
"What on earth was that?!" Hange shrieked.
"The truth for once" Levi growled then added glaring at her "Not that you'll know anything about that"
Hange opened her mouth to reply but Levi interrupted angrily "Erwin and Mike clearly know who the Blood Master is and they're keeping it from me. Something was off about the vampires we killed and I'm betting you know what and your not telling me. Also Erwin's become all strict and controlling lately, I have no idea why, and this is all driving me insane! So if you won't tell me anything, get out of my way"
Hange was not a fool. The tone of voice Levi was using she knew he'd probably loved to ripp her head of if she didn't move.
With a sigh Hange stepped aside.
Levi walked past her, he wasn't sure where he was heading, all he knew was he wanted to get away from everything.
Hange watched him go, frowning.
Erwin really needed to hear about this.
Levi sighed with irritation, crossing his arms "Why are we here again?"
"I told you this Levi" Erwin said, his voice resigned.
"Go through with it to me again, I think I may have misheard you"
"We are going to check out an area that a source has told us vampires are, however I am unable to detect if they are ordinary vampires or abnormals, usually I get this feeling but I have none. Thats what we are doing here"
"Yeah I think I'm still not hearing you. Shouldn't the we mean you? Everyone else has no reason to come" Levi said curtly.
They were riding on horses through a village at night. It was all silent, no one was out unless they wanted to get killed by vampires apart from them.
Hange and Mike were with them but behind them, allowing Erwin and Levi to talk without interruption.
"I suppose I need to talk to you as well" Erwin said slowly, just looking ahead.
"This should be interesting" Levi grunted.
"Hange told me what happened with Oluo. No human can know about us Levi, its to big a risk" Erwin said steadily.
Levi blinked then looked sharply at Erwin as he growled "I hope you are not implying what I think you are"
"The mission was successful but you will choose a new member of the Scouts by morning. Oluo will be sent out on a mission once we come back and will be MIA" Erwin said coldly.
"Now wait just one second!-" Levi snapped.
"That is an order Levi, I expect you to-LEVI!"
Erwin halted his horse as Levi purposely drove his horse in front of Erwin, halting them.
"This is the night, we could be easily spotted, we don't have time for this!" Erwin snarled.
"I'll make time! After all thats happened you-you dare say that? It was my mistake he found out. I should have just killed that ordinary vampire so she wouldn't talk. Then Oluo wouldn't have overheard! You want Oluo to die because of that? I won't do that! He won't tell anyone!"
"You do not know that Levi. He is to much of a risk. All our plans at defeating the abnormal titans relies on secrecy. It could all fail if one human doesn't know when to shut his mouth. I will not allow that to happen" Erwin said firmly.
"I won't let that happen" Levi growled, his hands clenching tightly on the reins.
Erwin said icily "You won't have a choice"
Levi's eyes widened...
It was true...He wouldn't have a choice.
Dam that sire bond!
Kenny was right after all.
"One puppet master to another" Levi hissed through gritted teeth.
Erwin stiffened at Levi's words.
But before he could reply. A gun shot rang out in the misty air.
Erwin let out a pained gasp. Levi gaped as Erwin toppled of his horse. What ever they had shot him with was burning him and making Erwin writher in pain.
Hange jumped of her horse and rushed to Erwin's side, she cringed as she got close.
"Hemlock!" She cried out.
Another shot rang out, hitting Hange's shoulder, she yelled out, crumbling as well.
Levi caught the scent in the air...
No...
Not now!
Mike was soon with Levi, both of them trying to see through the thick fog that seemed to be getting thicker and thicker.
A voice called out "Shoot the other one, we only want him!"
Another shot rang out, Mike was able to dodge but the bullet with Hemlock inside got him in the leg.
Mike gasped in pain, he manged to still stand but barely.
Levi wondered why Erwin was still grounded, sure the bullets were painful but he was a pure blood, he should be able to fight this.
Then Levi saw the bullet wound in Erwin's chest.
Erwin had been his near a crucial part in his chest closer to his heart, thats why it was affecting him more than it should be.
Hange could only crouch, glaring into the mist.
Ten men came out of the shadows, guns in their hands, all looking at...Levi...
Levi recognised them instantly.
Shit.
This is far from over
What Erwin had said had come true.
Kenny's men...coming back for revenge.
They had predicted this would happen but not this soon!
Kenny killed all the time but he did deals with so many people to get more money and kill more, a number of people were probably pissed Kenny was dead.
Kenny either used black mail or the promise of money to people who served under him, a lot of money.
Levi wondered how much money these men had missed out on because of Kenny's death, probably a lot. If they wanted revenge and looked that pissed of.
"We've been waiting a while to confront you. This will be good" One of them sneered.
Another man with grubby skin said snidely "When you went after Kenny, you didn't kill as many as you thought. The word spread quickly at what had happened. A lot of people want your head on a stick"
"How nice of them" Levi said cooly.
The other vampires couldn't put up a fight with the bullet inside them. Levi would have been confident he could kill the guys around him...if it hadn't been for guns loaded with Hemlock bullets.
One shot and he'd be taken down...
Funny how creatures with such power could be taken down by a simple plant Levi thought bitterly. Eyeing the mens weapons warily.
A low growl erupted from him as the men circled him.
The men were wearing cloaks, covering them and hoods covering their faces.
One of the men chuckled as he stepped forward "Its a pity you don't remember me Levi"
He took down his hood.
Reviling a older man, a long scar down the front of his creased face. His eyes hard.
"You!" Levi choked out, in shock, quickly going down to anger.
"Let me go! You can't do this! You can't do this to her!" The six year old Levi cried out as a man grabbed him, stopping him from running to the screaming women.
Levi tried to look away but with a signal from Kenny the man holding him, forced his head up to look at the horrifying and traumatising sight before him.
Levi struggled but it was no use.
He looked at the man holding him. His eyes wide.
The man was just a teenager but was strong, a long red scar across the teenagers face.
"Shut up and watch!" The teen snapped coldly.
The men started to rip away the womens clothes, ignoring her screams and cries for help.
"You've grown since I last saw you. I bet not that many people say that to you" The man with the scar sniggered.
Levi was seething, shivering with rage.
His hands curled into shaking fists.
Red swirled inside his eyes.
Levi's teeth sharpened.
Everything slowed down.
The monster rose up inside him, so angry, so blood thirsty, like a demon, like a vampire.
And for just like what happened with guard, who Levi had fed from and killed by crushing his head, Levi let the monster overwhelm him.
Levi thought he'd been more of a monster when he was human.
Now as he through away any morals he had and any humanity he clung to, out of the window...
Levi was just about to prove himself wrong.
Vampires were monster as well, after all...
So here is my next chapter, sorry it took so long! I hope you enjoy it! :) Eek what is Levi going to do? Hehe. He'll get pretty scary in the next chapter ;) Only four chapters left. After that I'll probably be moving on to my fan fiction where the characters watch the show as it so far seems to be the winning vote, though if you want me to do something else there is still time to vote! The poll only closes after I have finished this story. Please let me know what you think? :D xxx
The next chapter is called The Devil Tips His Hat To Me.
Also SPOILER don't read if you don't want to be spoiled for the next chapter (Levi will get his abnormal power in the next chapter) ;)
