(Timmy's PoV)
Death was nothing like he imagined it would be. He couldn't open his eyes, and he wondered if that was something that was normal to the recently dead. He felt something shake him, a frantic voice talking. Then heard that frantic voice yelling, screaming crying... Then another voice, it sounded like it was trying to soothe the first voice. Then more arrived, and the frantic voice started again. He couldn't quite make out what was being said, his mind was so tired, again he chalked that up to being newly dead. He tried to ask once of the voices about that and not being able to open his eyes, but he couldn't even get his mouth to work. Didn't really matter though, he had ran away from something, died for something, but he couldn't remember what that was now... and isn't that was his goal was? Peace? Freedom? He couldn't remember but he knew it wasn't freedom for some reason.
More voices... or was it the later ones that had shown up after Soothing and Frantic, he's get their names later if he ever could... he should be afraid... he had no way to communicate... but he wasn't, he'd never felt more relaxed in his life. His body... body?... moved different ways, and he couldn't figure out how it felt familiar, only that it did. It had just gotten quiet and he decided that he was going to rest, he felt very tired... very tired... he was sleeping into a deep void when more voices, frantic... but not Frantic... were around him. And he still couldn't make out what they were saying.
He felt his mouth being opened, and something pushing down his throat... he wasn't sure what it was... he tried to pay attention to what was going on, but his mind drifted into darkness. He wished he knew what was going on, but instead of holding on, grasping at the information he could get here, he just let go.
Minutes... hours... days... weeks later? He wasn't sure, but he heard crying. Soothing was talking and Frantic was answering. He listened to them, something about those voices made him feel better. He wasn't sure why they made him feel better, only they did.

Tootie sat straight up in the bed, she instantly noticed that Timmy was gone. She recalled him calling her name and tapping her arm, but she was just sleeping too deeply to respond. She wasn't sure how much time had passed since that happened, but she got up anyways... she started towards the stairs, but a nagging feeling took over her as she glanced back to Timmy's room. She tried to ignored it, but instead ended up walking into his room.
Timmy laid there looking like he was sleeping peacefully, she shook her head and walked out of the room, when a folded piece of paper caught her eye, normally she would have left it but her name was written on it. She picked it up and opened it.
Tootie,
There are a lot of things I wanted to tell you, but there really isn't much time for that.
I want you to know that you where one of the only good things in my life. Though for some
reason I can't remember a lot. Even when you chased me as a kid, I realize now that I did
enjoy it.
This has nothing to do with you, I chose to do this on my own. I can't stand living while
feeling so empty inside. So when you find this, I should be gone... I wish I could have told you
in person... but I couldn't risk it. Good bye, and I'll miss you.
Timmy
It took a few seconds for the words on the note to actually sink in, then when they did, and she noticed the opened pill bottle on the table next to the note it all clicked. First she tried to wake him up, when that didn't work she sent a text to Vicki saying she needed help, then she called 911. She could barely talk straight answering the basic questions she had the night of their first date. His name, was he breathing, what kind of medication, how much, the latter she didn't know.
Vicki arrived before the ambulance did, and she went over the whole thing again, forgetting about the lady on the phone. Tootie really didn't care she was more worried about losing Timmy, just after things had started working between them. Vicki tried to calm her down, but it wasn't working out too well... she knew she should try to calm down... she couldn't help while she was upset, but she couldn't no matter how hard she tried.
The ambulance's lights could be seen from the window, and Vicki ran down stairs to open the door. When she came back, they were with her, and a stretcher. They wasted no time strapping Timmy into it and taking him down the stairs. The only time they spoke and Tootie understood was when they told her, she couldn't ride with them. She started yelling, and Vicki pulled her back before she could get into the ambulance.
"We'll take my car... don't worry" Vicki said but her voice was cracking. Showing Vicki was scared too, and that was enough to bring her back to reality as she followed Vicki to her car and got in.
The ride was silent, neither of them turned on the radio, nor did they speak. She'd been to this hospital before, but this ride... took longer than it ever had before. She almost jumped from the car the moment it pulled into a parking place and ran into the hospital. She was in the middle of asking the nurse if Timmy was going to be okay when Vicki came in.
"He arrived a short time ago, we don't know yet dear. Would you be family?" The nurse asked looking at them, waiting for an answer. Tootie didn't know what to say, instead she looked up to Vicki for an answer.
"We are..." she told the lady who they were, and about Timmy's parents, and said that they were the only 'family' he had. Tootie would have been more flattered at being called Timmy's Girlfriend if he wasn't in the hospital and might die... how long had he been laying there? Had she woken up in time? She should have woken up when he was calling her name, and tapping her arm. Maybe she could have stopped it.
The nurse gave them visitor passes and told them to wait in the waiting room on the second floor. That normally ER patients were treated in the ER, but due to some food poisoning or something, Tootie really wasn't paying attention, the ER was full, and the over flow was upstairs. As soon as the lady stopped talking she darted for the elevator franticly pushing the button. Vicki stood beside her, then the doors finally opened, and they stepped inside.
(Vicki's PoV)
She didn't want to admit that she was scared in front of Tootie. Because well Tootie right now was bordering on insanity. She understood why, the girl had been completely in love with Timmy for years. And the little Twerp had finally started showing some kind of feelings towards her. Then his parents... she was sorry they were gone... but she couldn't help but be angry with them. They ignore the boy, ruin his life, make him feel unloved and neglected. She felt him flinch when she hugged him, he wasn't used to it... Then they go and die, leaving him alone... more alone than ever. But cursing them would do her, nor Timmy any good. All she could do was hope.
"Hey," She looked over at Tootie, sitting in the chair next to her in the empty waiting room. They had been there for a couple hours, and all the food poisoning patients had left... she was going to say something when I nurse walked in beside them.
"Timmy?" Tootie stood up hoping.
"No... I'm sorry I'm not here for that... I know you've been here for a while... and I wanted to tell you the cafeteria will only be open for another thirty minutes or so..." the nurse looked apologetic for getting their hopes up about news... "I just wanted to let you girls know... in case you are hungry might be the last chance for tonight."
"Thanks." Vicki said, and she appreciated it. Once she walked out she turned and looked towards Tootie, who was about in tears. "Come on Tootie, lets grab a bite to eat."
"What if they..." Tootie started, and Vicki understood before her sister even had a chance to say anything.
"Fine... I'll bring you something back, you can wait in case they come get us." Vicki stood up and went to the door, she knew her sister would be alright for a few minutes, Tootie was strong... even if she was slightly hard headed.
Vicki returned with a couple of bags, one of them held two carry out trays the other held a variety of cookies, chips and snacks. She wasn't sure what Tootie wanted for felt like, but she tried to cover all the bases, and hoped something would appeal to her sister. Tootie thanked her as she was handed a tray, and she started eating with a single minded intensity, Vicki just wished her stomach would stop doing flips long enough to eat hers. She tossed hers and Tootie's tray away and sat back down, her stomach was full, but she wouldn't be able to relax until Tootie was able to calm down some.
"Turner?" Vicki sighed out and relief, she never bother to look at the visitor passed that she had gotten, she only remember telling the lady their first names. Seems she mistakenly wrote their last names as Turner... or on purpose so no one questioned it... either way she was happy about the error. Vicki nodded and quieted her sister from saying otherwise. "Timmy will be fine, we managed to pump most of the medicine out of his stomach, what we couldn't pump out will work it's way out on it's own." Then the question she knew was coming. "Do you know why he would have tried to commit suicide?"
For the second time that night she had to explain that his parents had just died in a car accident not very long ago, that he was being watched... but he did this while her sister was sleeping. She stressed that it wasn't Tootie's fault, that she of course needed to sleep... and she didn't expect that he would do it, that he had seemed alright when they both laid down for a nap.
"Alright... you two can see him now." They expected to be laid to the ER rooms, when they were not, the nurse explained. "ER's been hectic, so he's in one of the long term rooms"
(Tootie's PoV)
She walked into the room, Vicki just behind her, and the nurse left them there. His eyes were closed and he seemed to be sleeping. The nurse had said he hadn't woken up yet but that he'd be alright. She couldn't help but notice how small Timmy looked laying in that bed. She stopped moving forward, until Vicki's hand pushed her forward slightly.
"Well don't just stand there, go wake him up." she looked back at her sister, tears were blurring her vision, she didn't know what to say. She went over to Timmy and leaned over the railing.
"Timmy?" her voice was soft, and she doubted she would have woken up anyone with how soft it was... she waited and tapped his shoulder. "Timmy."
He stirred a little, and she felt Vicki's hand on her shoulder. And now that she knew he would be safe, she put down the railings, laid her head on Timmy's chest and cried. She felt Vicki's hand rubbing her back talking to her softly. She new everything was going to be alright.
