(Timmy's PoV)

He felt something on his chest, slowly he opened his eyes... very slowly, everything was hazy, and completely blurred. He wondered if that was how things would be or if like being able to see at all, it would take time before he could do those things. Everything was white, and black... except... a red blur not far from him

"So you decided to wake up." That was Soothing, the something on his chest stirred and lifted up, he could barely make out a face... and those violet eyes... he knew those eyes.

"Timmy!" That was Frantic.

"Thir...sty..." his voice croaked, and it was then that he realized that he had an awful taste in his mouth and that his stomach hurt.

"Vicki can you get him a cup of water?" Vicki? Wait... he tried to focus more, on the red moving and the person came into focus a bit more, enough to know it was indeed Vicki, and it was Tootie that was leaning on the bed... but all those thoughts vanished as the cup was moved into his eyesight, he took it and drank greedily. Which didn't work out anything like he hoped, as soon as the water sloshed in his stomach he sat up, looking for anything... until Vicki pushed the waste basket into his lap, which he vomited in. Something was seriously wrong as he looked at it, his vomit was black...

Vicki pushed the button on the bed and the nurse was there within seconds... she explained about Timmy being sick and vomiting and the concern about it.

"He still has some charcoal in his stomach... it's alright... his stomach will be upset for a while. Small price to pay." She explained a few more things, about drinking slowly. And not eating much, because it would take a while before he could keep things down.

When he was handed the cup the next time, he drank from it, trying not to drink so fast... but after vomiting, and restraining himself from drinking too much he leaned back exhausted. Then looked at Tootie again, puffy around her bloodshot violet eyes. He never thought he'd see her face again. He of course asked what happened, and felt guilty as he was told in great detail of the last few hours. Now that the shock to them was over, Vicki did mention things that she'd like to do to him when he was better. He expected Tootie to argue... not agree.

She didn't flinch or pull away when he reach out to cup Tootie's cheek. She was here... he wasn't dead. And those feelings, they were coming back, and he realized that he had betrayed her in a way. "I'm so so...sorry To...otie." His throat still hurt, and it was hard to talk, but it was punishment for what he did. "I... never got t...to write it. But... I..." Everything went black.

(Tootie's PoV)

Tootie almost screamed when he passed out, until Vicki pointed tot he monitors that she couldn't read and was sure Vicki couldn't either, but told her that she knew enough to know that if something was wrong, one of them would have an alarm, and someone would be there to help.

"He just passed out Tootie, the sleeping pills... remember they didn't get all of it out." That made sense, she thought. When it started getting late, sleeping arrangements were decided, Vicki would take the spare bed, and Tootie would curl up next to Timmy. Vicki argued for a while, then decided that it wouldn't do any good.

She watched Vicki stretch out on the bed, and frowned slightly because neither of their parents bothered to call either of them, and Tootie had been gone for three days now. She wondered if Timmy would let Vicki stay with him... and her too. If their parents didn't want them, maybe they could be like a family... she curled up next to him and put her head on his chest. It had been kinda nice, when they all ate diner that first night, when she found out about his parents. When he turned on his side, towards her and pulled her close to him in his sleep, she smiled and whispered 'I love you' in his hear. He didn't answer verbally, but his arms tightening slightly and then relaxing to normal said everything, even if he was sleeping.

She stretched out and sighed, then she sat up confused. Timmy should have been in the bed next to her... She looked to her right and didn't see him, Vicki was sleeping in the other bed, but there was no Timmy. She got up looking around for a moment as if she had over looked him in the small room. She walked over to her sister and shook her arm. "Vicki?"

"Ugh... leave me alone." Vicki grumbled and pulled the blanket over her head.

"Yeah... that's what she told me too." Tootie jumped at the sound of Timmy's voice. He was fully dressed, carrying paper work in his hand. Then walked over to the bed and shook her shoulder. "Alright Vicki... time to get up."

"I told you to..." she said loudly sitting up, her hair matted to the side of her face. "Where the hell... oh yeah the hospital."

Timmy handed her a cup from the table in the room, then handed her one. Coffee... just the way she... wait, how did Timmy know how she liked coffee... how did he even know she liked coffee. Maybe he had paid more attention than she thought, or maybe it was a lucky guess. She wasn't about to ask right now as she took her first sip.

"Hey..." Timmy sat in one of the chairs, looking down at the floor, Vicki looked up from her cup, and Tootie followed her gaze. "I'm... no... I mean... I don't know what to say." he stood up and paced a bit. She had expected depression for a few more days, but his attitude wasn't what she expected it would be. "I don't know why I did it really... I mean my parents... and I hadn't felt anything inside in weeks. Even when Tootie took a nap with me that night... it was nothing like the night of the storm.

"I just felt like everything was gone, nothing was ever going to be right again, and I didn't want to be there." He sat back down, and didn't, hadn't looked either of them in the eye, since he started.

Tootie wasn't exactly sure what to say to him, she really had no experience with anything like this. Yeah her parents ignored her, and she wasn't happy with how things were. And she used to be depressed no boys noticed her... but she'd never thought about suicide. Looking over to Vicki... she could tell her sister was at a loss for words.

"There is one more thing..." he wrung his hands together... Tootie saw that most of this was a kind of an act... most of the mask of happiness and acceptance of his situation seemed to crumble enough to see that he wasn't entirely alright. "I need someone..." he looked at Vicki this time, "I need to be released into the care of an adult."

Vicki just stared at him, and Tootie wasn't sure if Vicki understood what he was asking... she found it hard to believe that he was asking Vicki to do this for him. She was sure Vicki wouldn't have an issue with it, since she had mellowed a lot. Vicki swung her legs off the bed and walked over to him.

"Look Twerp..." she started, but it was said kindly. Weird to hear that nickname used in such a soft kind tone, but Tootie waited silently. "We had... have our differences. But there's no way I'm going to let them stick you in some nut ward. I'm the only one that gets to mess with your head."

"Wait..." Timmy stopped her from signing the papers, Vicki just looked at him she looked as confused as Tootie felt. "There is another catch... see. The person I'm released to... will have to legally monitor me." he looked down at the floor.

"So like I'll have to stop in like what? Every other day or something, or every day?" Vicki asked.

"More like... living in the same house." Vicki just stared at him. Tootie thought about it. Isn't that what she had wanted before she fell asleep? Her Vicki and Timmy having some kind of make-shift family? Timmy certainly had the spare rooms, Even if Vicki stayed there would still be three other empty rooms. But the big question was, would Vicki be willing? "And uh... I'd rather not leave my house... so... since Tootie is staying... I mean all the bills are taken care of... So..."

That Vicki would like, she was paying rent to their parents and pretty much paid for what her and Tootie ate. She hoped her sister would accept... she didn't want to move back home... and she really didn't want to lose Timmy.

"Can we Vicki?" The words slipped right out of her mouth.

"Well... we can't let Timmy get taken away for his error and judgment." She turned back to Timmy, "But look... I understand why you did what you did. But it scared me and Tootie, you could have... well you know, that why you... never mind. Look you have to swear to me, Promise to me that you'll never do that again." she waited and Timmy just stared at her. "Well?"

"Oh... y-yeah I swear. I promise..." Timmy never looked up at her or Vicki, but she could tell in his voice that he was being honest, "So you'll sign and..." She signed her name across the bottom of the paper before he could finish.

"I guess, we should get going." Vicki said picking up the things they had brought, and the paperwork, to give tot he nurses. "Seem I have some packing to do, and Tootie as well."
