As Rias and Harry slept, Koneko and Kiba got the full story of what Harry's life must have been like judging from what Akeno had witnessed while... keeping an on eye on the Dursleys...for Rias. Even thinking about them put Akeno ill at ease, let alone retelling what she had seen, and she enjoyed inflicting pain on others who deserved it! If it disturbed her, well, that was saying something. Needless to say, by the end of reaching the point where Kiba showed up, both Koneko and Kiba were angry, and, considering Koneko's strength, and ability to control her anger, she was the most dangerous of their group, as anger controlled and focused could be a very dangerous weapon indeed, especially combined with super strength and endurance.

Kiba, for his part, kept silent, sympathetic towards Harry for all his suffering. He understood what it was like to feel constant, unending pain all too well, but for it to be at the hands of his own relatives? That was absolutely disgusting. Kiba looked at Koneko and Akeno seriously.

"...Let's have an agreement." He said.

"Yeah? What's that?" Koneko replied, trying to maintain a stoic demeanour despite her obviously massive anger.

"Let's agree to protect Harry. With our lives, if necesarry."

Akeno smiled, "No," she said, getting confused looks from them,."We promise to protect Harry AND Rias. After all, if Rias were to fall, it would crush Harry," she pointed out, being serious and speaking something logical instead of teasing for once.

Kiba nodded. "Of course... I doubt Rias would really need us to protect her, but we have to try."

"Right." Koneko agreed before distracting herself from the confusing series of events with one of her many sweets she had laid out on the table.

"Then it's agreed." Akeno said with a warm smile. "I wonder how they're doing up there..."

Harry would not wake up for another 24 hours, sleeping heavily and peacefully for probably the first time in forever. Even Rias waking up to get something to eat and relieve herself didn't wake him up. As he slept though, Rias had stuff to check up on, even though she wanted to spend every waking moment with Harry by her side.

The redhead looked down at the sleeping boy in her arms, then reluctantly forced herself out of her bed. She smiled warmly and placed a hand on the little boy's cheek, then kissed the top of his head. "...I'll be back, sweetie." She whispered softly. She turned to leave, then froze when she realized that Harry had grabbed at her arm in his sleep, as if subconsciously begging her to stay.

She turned to look and saw a look of discomfort or pain on his face. She sighed, and kissed his forehead before rubbing his back to calm him down enough that he smiled again and snuggled into their pillow more. She smiled. She really did want to stay and keep a watch on him, but she also really needed to check up on the others, and attend to devil business.

She walked towards the door, shooting Harry one last smile before leaving the room. She made her way back down to the others to see them talking quietly amongst themselves.

"Hello, everyone." She said calmly.

"Rias! Hello!" Akeno said cheerfully. "So, how's our little patient doing?" Rias smirked.

"Quite well. He's been more relaxed ever since we brought him here. When I first found him, he acted as if everyone was out to get him...No doubt something that obese fool put in his head..."

Koneko let out a growl at hearing what Rias thought might be the case for why Harry was so shy and distant earlier when he first met them. Kiba looked like he was conflicted between going to Harry's former home in England to beat some sense into Harry's aunt, even if her mind was wiped, and going to stand guard by Harry's side. Akeno, however, was more or less aware of what Harry must be going through and so had very little reaction to what Rias said. Akeno smiled however after a few minutes, "Rias, what will he do while we're at school?" she asked.

Rias suddenly realised what Akeno meant, "Oh dear, I didn't even think about that..." she said, having honestly not had it in mind when she made her plans to move Harry into her life as her son. "Well, actually..." she began, as she thought about it, "My father does technically own the school, so...perhaps I could convince him to allow me to bring Harry with me when we go to class. After all, he does tend to be quiet, and he would be distressed if he were away from us for hours," she added, "Plus, I'm sure, he would, in a sense, have to stick by his mother's side quite a bit..." she said, thinking about how close she and Harry would become since most of the girls at Kuoh would no doubt find him adorable as well, and constantly pester him to hug him and stuff.

Akeno giggled, "He will need all of us to protect him from THAT!" Akeno laughed, thinking about it.

"I'll kick their fan girl asses." Koneko said in her usual stoic voice. Rias smiled.

"Well then, it's settled. Here's hoping father will agree. I'll have to make an appointment with him soon... Now I'm going to check on Harry..."

Akeno smirked. "Can't be away from him for more than five minutes, Rias?" she asked.

"Shut up." Rias replied, rolling her eyes as she headed upstairs.

When she opened the door to her room, she was greeted to the sight of Harry tossing and turning in his slumber, whimpering, tears streaming down his face.

Rias immediately rushed to his side, and began to rub his back, and whisper soothing words to him. "I'm here, Harry, its me, its Rias, Harry," she said, watching Harry and trying to calm him down, hoping that he could hear her through his nightmares.

Harry's eyes snapped open, and he shot straight up.

"MOMMY!" He shouted, instinctively shouting out the first thing that came to mind after the nightmare he had suffered just now.

Rias immediately hugged him to her, "Shh, its ok, its ok, you're safe, Harry," she said, trying her best to comfort him. She knew he wasn't calling her mommy, as he had been in the grip of fear, and thus, when he woke up as suddenly as he had, he had instinctively called out for the person most children sought for subconsciously when they woke up suddenly from terrible nightmares. She continued to rub his back as he sobbed.

It took him twenty five minutes to stop crying, and he just sat in Rias's lap, clutching tightly to her nightgown. "There...See? You're okay." Rias said gently as she played with a lock of Harry's hair. "Now tell me what your bad dream was about, okay dear?" Harry whimpered.

"It...It was Uncle Vernon...He was...He was killing me...He cut my arms and legs off, and then he lit me on fire...I...I felt it...It felt so real..." he sobbed, and hiccuping every so often.

Rias frowned, and hugged Harry to her again, "Harry, we dealt with him. No one can hurt you anymore, and if they do, Akeno, Koneko, Kiba, and I... we will hurt them back tenfold for what they have did to hurt you." she said, "WE are your family, Harry, and we will protect you, ok?" she said, still rubbing his back and holding him to her in a hug.

Harry looked up at her and smiled tearfully, sniffling. He rested his head against the woman's chest, and allowed himself to relax slowly. Then, a sound got his attention. It was soft, but audible. It sounded like... a small pulse. Harry looked up at Rias.

"Wh-What's that sound in your chest?" He asked softly. Rias blinked and tilted her head.

"What do you mean?" She asked in amusement.

"The sound that sounds like...like thumping..." Rias laughed.

"I believe that's my heartbeat, dear." She explained.

"Oh. ...Um...It's...It's nice..." Harry said softly. "...Can I listen some more?"

Rias wanted to squeeze him tightly and just say 'aaaaw' so much right now, but that wouldn't help him, so, instead she kissed his head, and said, "Yes, my dear, you may listen to my heart beat for as long as you wish." It seemed that he had found something that calmed him down effectively. She smiled, even though it had been instinct, he had instinctively called out for his mother, and she had been there to respond. She knew it was his choice, as she had told him as much, but, she couldn't wait for the day he would call her his mother. Sighing a bit, she summoned her familiar and handed it a note she had written, requesting that her father come up from the underworld in a few days so they could make special arrangements for Harry to attend Kuoh with her, because there was no way in the underworld that she was going to leave him with some babysitter for hours a day while she was at school. Her familiar took the note and then transformed and flew off to deliver it. Rias smiled. She knew her father would accept. After all, she was 'Daddy's little princess', and so she kinda had him wrapped around her finger, in a sense.

"Harry..." She asked.

"Hmm?" Harry replied, busy enjoying the beating of her heart to reply in any other way.

"Do you want to come to school with me?"

Harry looked up at her wide-eyed. "B-But...what if the people there don't like me and think I'm a freak? Uncle Vernon says that freaks get beaten up, and I don't wanna get beat up..."

Rias smiled sadly, "Harry, sweetie... Don't worry. I promise that no one will hurt you, and if they do, me, Akeno, Kiba, and Koneko will hurt them worse then they hurt you, ok?" she replied.

Harry nodded, comforted by her words, he then nuzzled into her front and slowly dozed off, mumbling words like comfortable, safe, happy, thankful.

Rias smiled. She couldn't wait to introduce him to her father.
