Chapter 3: Helpless
Foxy could only blink before Springtrap rams a golden fist into his nose sending the fox a few feet back. But Springtrap gives him no time to recover before punching him again. Mangle charges at Springtrap but the bunny warps away.
"What? He can teleport?" Mangle gasped.
"And a lot more." Came his voice.
Mangle turned around to see Springtrap a few feet away.
"I don't need to deal with you dear, so leave us be." Springtrap said.
"WHAT THE HELL DID FOXY EVER DO TO YOU?"
"HE DOESN'T REMEMBER ME! HE NEEDS TO REMEMBER WHO I AM! I NEED ANSWERS!" Springtrap snarled.
Foxy was wiping the blood from his mouth while wondering about this bunny. What was his deal? Who was he?
"Well I'm sure we don't have what ye are looking for." Foxy said.
"YOU'RE LYING!" Springtrap yelled.
"MANGLE! GET TO NETTE! I'LL DEAL WITH HIM!" Foxy yelled.
Mangle wanted to protest but figured Nette could help so she fled. Foxy turned back to the bunny, blood still dripping from his mouth.
"Look, I don't know what you want from me. So shove off!" Foxy demanded.
"NO! YOU KNOW WHO I AM! I NEED HELP!"
"Clearly."
Springtrap began to glow again and this time formed a large golden orb between his hands making Foxy's eye grow.
"Oh shit."
Foxy took off right as Springtrap threw it at him. Foxy managed to dodge it and Springtrap chased after him. He couldn't let Foxy get away. He tried so hard to gain that memory back but it wouldn't come no matter how hard he tried. Foxy and Springtrap raced down the street almost at the speed of light. Foxy was expecting to outrun the bunny, only to see something that would scar him for life. Springtrap caught up with him...and passed him easily...
"WHAT? NO! THAT'S NOT EVEN POSSIBLE! NOT EVEN BONNIE COULD PAST ME LIKE THAT!" Foxy said.
Springtrap said nothing but stopped to send more golden orbs at Foxy, each one hitting Foxy and throwing him back. Springtrap grabbed him by a leg and threw him back onto the ground hard on his back. Springtrap walked over to him and lifted up his head. Foxy noticed something strange with the bunny, a tear had fell...was he...crying? Suddenly, BB came racing over and getting in between the two.
"STOP! DON'T HURT HIM!" BB yelled at Springtrap.
BB had gone through a growth spurt, he was a bit taller and more slimmer now. He still wore his favorite brown pants, blue striped shirt and hat.
"Out of the way kid." Springtrap sneered.
"BB go! I'll be okay." Foxy said.
"I WON'T LET YOU HURT FOXY!" BB yelled.
"KID MOVE! I DON'T HIT CHILDREN, SO DON'T MAKE ME START!" Springtrap cracked his knuckles.
Foxy tried to reason with Springtrap.
"What do you want from me?" Foxy asked weakily.
"You don't remember me at all?" Springtrap asked.
"Maybe if ye would've given me yer name I probably would. INSTEAD YOU JUST ARRIVED TRYING TO START A FIGHT!" Foxy snarled.
But before Springtrap could answer, he feels a hand on his shoulder. He turned to see Nette standing there a little dumbfounded. Mangle came over to help up Foxy.
"Foxy you okay?" Mangle asked.
"Arr, me back be sore." Foxy rubbed it.
"He hurt you pretty bad Foxy." BB said.
Springtrap looked at the puppet a little surprised too. Nette tilted his head.
"You...weren't you a victim of...Fredrick?" Nette asked nervously.
Springtrap's eyes widened. How did the puppet know? Did many others know? The pile of questions started to make his head hurt and gripped his head, gritting his teeth. Foxy felt a hint of sympathy for the bunny...he must have been going through a lot.
"Just tell me your name!" Foxy spoke to him.
Springtrap stared back at Foxy and growled...he had enough of this. Without revealing his name, he teleports away leaving the others behind. BB noticed Nette looked like he was on the verge of tears.
"Nette? Why are you sad?" BB asked.
Foxy and Mangle looked at each other, they haven't seen Nette this upset since Foxy nearly died by the hands of Fredrick. BB went over to to rub Nette's arm as a tear fell from the puppet. Nette looked down at him and made a weak smile.
"I'll need a moment BB, you can go back inside now." Nette assured.
"Alright, just let me know if you need anything." BB said before heading back into his house.
Nette just stood faced away from the foxes, his long sharp claws clenched into fists at his sides, his white pupils visible.
"Come." Was all Nette said as he teleported him and the foxes to his house.
In his house, the three were in the living room sitting on the couch silent. Nette had his face buried in his hands.
"Nette, what happened just now? He just took off once he saw ye." Foxy said.
"You know him?" Mangle asked.
"No...but I do know that he was experimented on by Fredrick." Nette said rubbing his face.
"What?" The foxes were confused.
Nette got off the couch and turned to face them.
"After we killed Fredrick, I began to look up his other pasts evil deeds by hacking his secret files, and I came across some past failures he made known to the public awhile before he moved into the factory. But he never revealed just what the experiments looked like...hiding the fact he had stolen bodies for quite awhile, that bunny being the last one before the place erupted in flames. I knew he had escaped...but I thought he was dead now. Just seeing him alive...in that state is just...horrifying." Nette shuttered.
"So the files didn't say his name?" Mangle asked.
"No...Fredrick kept them secret. Guys look, that bunny is not evil or some kind of villain, he's lost and confused...probably suffering from amnesia. He needs help, you have to help him out. Or else he'll go to drastic measures to fix himself. Foxy you really don't remember him?" Nette asked.
"No lad, we've been through so much that I wouldn't remember him especially if it was a one-time thing. But now I'm worried about the others, he may try to fight them." Foxy said.
"It's a possibility, but please promise me you'll try to help him." Nette begged.
"We'll try, but it won't be easy." Mangle said.
"Good, I'll look up more info to see about the other people he experimented on. I know Bonnie and Bon Bon's parents were two of them...but they're fine now. I'll even teleport over there myself to check it out." Nette said.
"Okay." Foxy nodded.
Back with Springtrap, he was at home full of anger and sadness. He was so close to getting some memories back but not only did he lose the one from last night, Foxy didn't recognize him...what would be the point of telling him his name? No matter, he had three more to deal with.
"Why? How did he not recognize me? None of this is making sense. UGH! IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF THAT FREDRICK GUY! HE MADE ME THIS WAY! HE RUINED ME! WHY DID I TRUST HIM? WHO CAN I TRUST? NOBODY WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT I'VE GONE THROUGH! NOBODY!"
Springtrap was suddenly interrupted from hearing a door shut below him. He peeked out his window to spot Chi Chi leaving and talking to Chica on her phone.
"Yeah I'll be over by the pizzeria in a bit." Chi Chi said.
Springtrap's ears perked up and decided to follow Chi Chi towards the pizzeria. When she got there, Chica was there talking to the manager of the place.
"So is it okay for you to work for a few hours today. I'll pay you $50." The manager said.
Chica rubbed her chin in thought just as Chi Chi came over.
"Sure, why not? I'll teach your cooks how to make a proper pizza." Chica smirked.
"Thank you." The manager said before going back in.
"What did he want?" Chi Chi asked.
"Oh he wants me to work here for a few hours because many of his workers are sick...eh, at least I know the place like the back off my foot." Chica said.
"True, I'll join you." Chi Chi said.
Springtrap had been listening nearby and decided to slip inside and hide in the bathrooms until he had a chance to attack. Meanwhile, Foxy, Mangle and Bon Bon went over to Freddy's house to discuss what happened.
"So he just started a fight with you that quickly?" Bonnie asked.
"Yeah...ye did too ya know." Foxy said.
"True...but I'm an asshole." Bonnie smirked.
"A big one." Foxy grumbled.
"What was that?" Bonnie glared at him.
"You heard me." Foxy smirked.
Bonnie was about to get off the couch when Freddy stopped him.
"Not right now, this is serious! How dangerous is this guy?" Freddy asked.
"Very, he has special powers like Golden did. Even worse...the lad is faster than me in speed. No one is faster than me...how?" Foxy asked.
"Looks like you got competition." Bonnie said.
"But Nette looked very upset when I got him over to them. He then explained that he was an experiment of Fredrick's and possibly suffered from amnesia. That guy needs help and got mad when Foxy didn't remember him. We need to try and reason with him...he'll probably come after each of us." Mangle said.
"We'll be on the lookout for him. It's unfortunate however that I can't recall someone like him after the way you described him." Freddy said.
"Yeah, my mind is kinda fuzzy on that subject. I've been thinking about what my mom has been dreaming about, some shadow creatures coming to attack to the town." Bonnie said.
"Let's hope that doesn't happen...though deep down...I sense something big to happen soon as well." Freddy said.
"You really think we can get through to that bunny?" Bonnie asked.
"We have to try." Mangle said.
"Poor guy...he's just misunderstood, but he needs to know that we're not his enemy." Foxy said.
"Right, so where is Nette now?" Freddy asked.
"Looking up info on the old laboratory." Foxy said.
With Nette, he had used his teleporter gun and arrived at the location of the old laboratory. Immediately he sensed something or someone had been here recently since some stuff had been moved and several claw marks were located on the ground. He had read in the secret files about 2 failed creatures left to rot in the stasis tubes until they could be used for other experiments, but they were missing.
"Hmm, this is strange...they must have escaped." Nette thought.
That's when he spotted what looked like two different short blood trails...and they were fresh. Though the blood was black, yet it wasn't oil judging by the smell. They must have belonged to the creatures and they had escaped. Over nearby was a burnt and torn-up desk. Nette opened it seeing nothing but scraps of paper and broken pencils, until he discovered an old journal. Skipping a few pages he came across an entry about the creatures.
It read:
"Those shadow creatures turned out to be a complete failure. Their bodies wouldn't develop right, so of course I had them placed in stasis until further use. They were going to be part of my first wave of attack on Striker City so I could then rule over the town with a robot army. That's what I had them programmed to do, but will it happen? Probably not...I still have use for those bunnies however...he-he, Bonnie will never find out."
Nette concluded that if those creatures had escaped and realized Fredrick was nowhere to be seen, they knew he was dead but had planned to carry out the plan anyway. Meaning they were headed for town, but just how far were they? So much was on Nette's mind at once. On one hand you got an amnesic bunny on the loose, on the other hand you've gone 2 deadly shadow creatures determined to level the town and destroy the Fazbear Gang. Reading up on their abilities, Nette nearly dropped the book.
"Oh no...this isn't good. I don't know anyone who's more powerful than me...until now. One way or another, we need to get that bunny on our side before it's too late. I better take this back to town and warn the others." Nette said.
Back over at the pizzeria, it was close to closing time and the last customer left...or so they thought. Chica and Chi Chi had succeeded in making everyone happy and the manager approved of their efforts.
"Thank you so much ladies, I hope I didn't disrupt any plans you had." The manager said.
"No we had none, besides it was nice to work here again." Chica said.
The manager left while the girls got everything cleaned up, not noticing Springtrap getting closer to them.
"Wow...what a shift...brings back memories." Chica said.
"Really?" Chi Chi asked.
"Yep."
"Hello ladies..." Came a voice.
The girls to see Springtrap standing by the counter smirking.
"YOU!" Chica snarled.
"How did you get here?" Chi Chi asked.
Springtrap chuckled before turning to Chica.
"I have my ways. You're Chica I presume?"
"So you shot at Foxy that night, HOW DARE YOU! THAT'S MY HUSBAND!" Chica screamed.
Needless to say Springtrap was surprised by that info. But shrugged it off and stared at her.
"Surely you remember me." Springtrap said.
"Why would I remember someone like you?" Chica said in disgust.
"YOU DO KNOW! THE TIME WHEN..."
The memory of him beating up Golden never came to the front of his mind and he looked down. Chi Chi noticed a glint of fear in Springtrap's neon green eyes.
"Ugh...now I can't remember." Springtrap rubbed his face.
"DOESN'T MATTER! THE ONLY THING I'M GONNA REMEMBER IS SMASHING YOUR FACE IN FOR SHOOTING AT MY HUSBAND!" Chica snarled.
She grabbed a pan and swung it at him hitting him in the chest...big mistake. Rage took over Springtrap and he lunged over the counter trying to tackle Chica. Chi Chi gasped and punched Springtrap in the face. Chica ran off to the back to hide. Springtrap knocked Chi Chi away and went to find Chica. As he walked towards a large open stove, Chica came out from the side and pushed Springtrap inside closing the door. Buying time, the girls tried to escape, but the door to the oven was quickly broke off completely by one punch from Springtrap.
He got out and started to fire his golden orbs at them. One knocked Chica over the counter while Chi Chi attempted to kick him in the face. But Springtrap grabbed her leg and threw her into a wall. He leaps over the counter seeing Chica standing behind a row of tables. Chica knew she shouldn't have pissed him off. Springtrap stormed straight towards her and she started to back up against a wall. Springtrap whacked the tables away like they were nothing and pinned her against the wall. Chica gulped and winced.
"Please don't hurt me...please don't..." She begged.
Springtrap leaned into her face keeping his angry stare. He noticed not a only a sweat drop...but a tear as well. Deciding he had struck enough fear into her...he backed off and teleported away before Chi Chi could try anything. She ran over to help Chica.
"You okay?" Chi Chi asked.
"Yeah...what was his deal?" Chica asked.
"Let's talk to the others."
Upon arriving at Freddy's house, the chickens found out about Springtrap's fate at the hands of Fredrick and now felt bad...Chica felt worse for not remembering him. Bonnie and Freddy figured they were next...but when?
"So are we all in an agreement here? We need to catch this guy, and get him to stop harassing us and help him." Freddy said.
Everyone agreed, though Bon Bon looked a little nervous, but she was comforted by Bonnie.
"So...won't you two get in trouble for the damages to the pizzeria?" Bonnie asked.
"Eh that place was always a mess. Besides, they'll think a robber got in." Chi Chi said.
"I guess we can all relax for the night." Freddy assumed.
"I don't think so." Nette appeared with the journal.
"What now?" Foxy whined.
"The town may be in grave danger again...soon."
To be continued...
And the dangers keep coming! While the whereabouts of Shadow Bonnie and Shadow Freddy are unknown, Springtrap is failing at his own mission, and the Fazbear Gang may not have a lot of time to reason with Spingtrap before he finally explodes or the shadow creatures arrive. Will Bonnie or Freddy triumph over Springtrap? Will Springtrap ever get the answers he craves? STAY TUNED!
