Chapter 7: Confrontation

Later that day, people had started to report that they've seen strange shadows staring at them from a distance before vanishing into thin air. Others reported getting attacked by them as evidenced by their injuries. But no one has been able to catch them so far. Shadow Bonnie and Shadow Freddy were having fun as they terrified and beat up random people all over town. They were eager for the right time to cause critical damage to the city using their cloning ability. The two met up in an alley.

"Thesssse people don't know what'ssss coming." Shadow Bonnie said.

"Yeah...they...run...like...little...babies..." Shadow Freddy said.

"I told you my plan wassss better."

"Where...is...that...golden...bunny..?"

"You mean SSSSpringtrap, that bunnie musssst be here ssssomewhere. I sssssensssse his essssenssse here."

"We...find...him...now..."

"NO YOU FOOL! WE DON'T KNOW IF HE HASSS SSSSOME KIND OF PLAN ALREADY!"

"Oh..."

Shadow Bonnie face-palmed completely annoyed with his brother's stupidity. Honestly, he sometimes questioned Fredrick's true abilities. He looked out the alley seeing no one coming their way yet.

"We need to sssstay low for now. After all, too much attention will attract the Fazbear Gang...or SSSSpinrgtrap."

"Okay."

So the shadows brothers continued to cause minor trouble, and avoid the gang at all costs. Meanwhile with Freddy, he was sitting on his bed looking at a few videos on his phone, past memories of him and Bonnie having fun. The current video he was watching took place after Foxy joined.

In the video...

Freddy and Bonnie had created their own stunt where they would ride their go-karts up a large ramp and over several trash cans they stole throughout the neighborhood. Freddy was filming, Bonnie was doing the stunt and Chica was watching.

"Alright Bonnie are you ready?" Freddy asked.

"Yeah!" Bonnie cheered.

"Now introduce yourself!"

"Hi I'm Bonnie and this is Air-Bunny." Bonnie pointed to the ramp.

Bonnie revved the engine and did a burnout. As he headed towards the ramp, Chica face-palmed.

"You two are idiots, this will never work." Chica said.

"Oh come on, we're the Fazbear Gang, what can possibly go wrong?" Freddy asked.

Bonnie launches himself off the ramp and flies through the air clearing all the trash cans and Freddy cheers.

"See?" Freddy said to Chica.

"Wait for it."

Bonnie's angles his landing all wrong, falls out of the kart and face-plants the ground.

CRASH

WASTED

"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh! THAT'S GOTTA HURT!" Freddy yelled.

Foxy comes over curious as Bonnie lifts himself up rubbing his face in pain.

"Whoa what happened here?" Foxy asked.

"Them and there stunts." Chica chuckled.

Foxy didn't notice Freddy coming up behind him with some clippers and the bear shaves the back of Foxy's head.

"AAHH! OH! WHAT THE FUCK! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?" Foxy snarled at Freddy while the others laughed.

Bonnie came over slapping Foxy on the back.

"He got you good." Bonnie smirked.

But then he didn't notice Freddy turning on him and shaving the back of his head too.

"AAHHH! AH! DAMN IT!" Bonnie growled and they all laughed at him.

Present...

Freddy chuckled, they sure had fun that day. They had fun everyday, or at least tried. Sure...the gang didn't get along every day, they've had arguments, silent treatments, that Fazbear brawl the four got into at the house last year, but they were still a family and learned to forgive and forget. He needed to make sure Bonnie stayed in this family. He was the power of the team, not to mention the most loyal. Despite his temper, he had a soft side and helped the others. Freddy couldn't believe he let his mind think such false thoughts about him. And it was true, Bonnie was only trying to protect the ones he loved, that he cared for, that would do the same thing back if they had to...and so would Freddy.

"I'm sorry Bonnie...I'm sorry. I just don't want you to leave us." Freddy whispered to himself.

Just then he receives a text from Chica.

"We've found Bonnie at the gym, he's still a little upset. Mabye it's best you two talk again tomorrow. He's going to stay over Chi Chi's tonight."

"Okay, I understand. At least we know he's safe."

"Exactly, I'll be there in a bit."

"Alright."

Freddy felt a smile begging to appear on his face, the thought of Bonnie still in town and safe made him feel a lot better. Though he was still worried since Bonnie was still upset with him. But he decided it was best to let it go and move on for today. Foxy and Mangle had went back home to take some naps and thought maybe he should take one. But he was interrupted when Nette materialized in front of him in a panic, grabbing his shoulders and shaking him.

"THEY'RE HERE! WE'RE TOO LATE FAZBEAR!" Nette screamed.

"CAN YOU STOP SHAKING ME?" Freddy yelled.

"Oh sorry...BUT STILL!" Nette shook his arms around.

"Okay okay, look we haven't found that guy yet. But we must today...but how?" Freddy wondered.

"Well Chi Chi said he lives right above her. But I'm sure he'll just vanish before we can talk to him. Desperate times call for desperate measures, we'll have to capture him by force." Nette suggested.

"Yeah, and then he kicks all of our asses." Freddy groaned.

"Not mine. I may not be as powerful as those shadow creatures, but I'm more powerful than that bunny...just like I was with Golden." Nette smirked.

"Oh really? What if you and that bunny were powerless?" Freddy asked.

"I'm still a good fighter, I don't need my powers." Nette scoffed.

"You know, you're the only person out of all of us, who I've never seen actually fight, not counting you and Foxy's little shenanigans." Freddy said.

Nette's white pupils became visible and he stepped back.

"You wanna test me Fazbear?" Nette smirked.

"Maybe, just to see of you're the real deal." Freddy got off the bed.

Nette, eager for the challenge, gave Freddy an evil smirk before backing up to a wall. Freddy got up and raised his fists, he thought this would be interesting. The two squared off.

"Ready for Freddy?" Freddy asked.

"You bet, just know I may not go so easy on you." Nette balled his claws into fists.

Freddy moved first, swinging a punch but Nette blocks it. Nette quickly moves around to punch Freddy in the side, then an uppercut. Freddy lunges and does a spin-kick hitting Nette in the face knocking him back to the wall. Nette lunged forward, dodging Freddy's next punch and tried to tackle him but Freddy thrusts up his belly smacking Nette into the ceiling. He clung to it for a brief moment.

"You're doing well Fazbear, maybe I was wrong about you." Nette said.

"Well thanks, I'm not as good as Bonnie."

"I actually thought you were a bit stronger than him, you just don't show your full strength." Nette said.

"I guess not. Shall we continue?" Freddy cracked his knuckles.

"Gladly." Nette said.

Nette jumped down from the ceiling going to grab Freddy's face, but Freddy jumps back and kicks Nette back into the wall. Freddy ran to pin Nette to the wall but Nette sucker-punches him in the face making him stagger back. Then Nette kicks him in the chest and knees him in the chin. Freddy made one last attempt to lunge, Nette lunges as well. As the two get closer, Nette quickly bends his body and slips under Freddy making the bear crash into the wall. Nette jumped back at him and punches him in the face twice, Freddy covering his face afterwards.

"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT! NETTE I GIVE!"

"Oh no you don't!"

Nette grabs Freddy, slams him on the ground, then pounces on him to pin him. He wraps an arm around his neck and pulls back one of Freddy's legs.

"NETTE COME ON I SAID I GIVE UP!" Freddy yelled.

"Sorry I was just getting to caught up in the moment." Nette chuckled.

He let Freddy go and got up dusting his hands.

"Now you know that I'm strong without my powers." Nette said.

"Yeah, I admit it, that was pretty good Nette. I don't think any of us could stand a chance." Freddy said.

"Ah you almost had me. See I told you, you're almost as good as me." Nette said.

"Too bad we're not ready to face those shadow creatures." Freddy sighed.

"We just need to find Springtrap quickly. Knowing him, he's probably out looking for them, especially if he thinks they know of part of his past. We should get the others to search as well, and quickly it's getting late." Nette looked out the window.

"Yeah...you go and fill up on energy, I'll begin a search party." Freddy puts on his hat.

"Agreed."

A little bit later, Freddy had gotten Foxy and Chica while Mangle started a search with Chi Chi and Bon Bon. At the same time, Freddy hoped Bonnie would be around...maybe finding Springtrap too. Speaking of the golden bunny, he was in fact standing on the same hill from the first time thinking.

"Those shadow creatures really know how to hide, but why aren't they attacking the town with such deadly force yet? Unless they find it unnecessary, or they're waiting for a certain moment. I have to find these creatures, I have to know if this is what I truly am, the more I know the better. I need to know more than that I'm Springtrap, while they may be my name, it's not enough. I will not stop in my quest, so that Fazbear Gang better watch out, because SPRINGTRAP IS IN TOWN!" He growled.

"Aw, what a ssssweet dream. Too bad we're not telling you."

Springtrap turned around to see Shadow Bonnie and Shadow Freddy standing there grinning.

"YOU TWO! This was easier than I thought...you need to tell me what you know about me!" Springtrap said.

"Hah, why tell you when we can let you ssssuffer with knowing nothing. I bet there's nothing in your life worth remembering." Shadow Bonnie hissed.

Springtrap angrily fired a golden orb at them and they easily dodge it.

"Ooh, he tried to hurt ussss...that wasssn't very nice." Hissed Shadow Bonnie.

"HIT...HIM...BACK!" Shadow Freddy roared.

Before Springtrap knew it, Shadow Bonnie jumped past him confusing the golden bunny before Shadow Freddy swung a wicked hay-maker knocking Springtrap in the face and he tumbles down the hill. The shadow brothers high-four and laugh. Springtrap keeps tumbling down the hill until he lands against a tree in the park, right where Bonnie was relaxing.

"What the?"

Bonnie noticed Springtrap lying there unconscious, knowing what he should do now, he tried to wake him up. While he was trying, Chica, Foxy and Freddy arrive thinking he would be at the park.

"Hey look it's Bonnie, and look who he found." Chica said.

"HEY BONNIE!" Foxy yelled.

The three came over, though Freddy walked slowly. When they arrived, Foxy and Chica watched as Freddy and Bonnie lock eyes and look away quickly.

"Awkward." Foxy whispered.

Chica smacked Foxy upside the head.

"Bonnie." Freddy said nervously.

"Freddy." Bonnie crossed his arms still looking away.

The awkward moment was thankfully interrupted by groaning from Springtrap.

"Ugh...what's going on?" Springtrap asked.

"That's what we want to know. What happened? Who are you? And why do you run from us?" Freddy asked.

"BACK OFF!" Springtrap got up quickly making the gang back up.

Springtrap glared at each other them remembering his battles with them.

"I saw those shadow creatures, and I plan to go after them." Springtrap said.

"Look you've been giving us so much trouble in the past, just tell us who ye are?" Foxy snarled.

Springtrap sighed and flexing his golden fingers.

"My name is...Springtrap. And you four have been no help in finding my past." Springtrap growled.

"Springtrap...wait...SPRINGTRAP? YOU'RE SPRINGTRAP!" Freddy gasped.

"YES!"

"SPRINGTRAP? THE ONE WHO BEAT UP GOLDEN?"

"THE ONE WHO HELPED ME FIND BON BON IN THE LIBRARY?"

"THE ONLY OTHER ONE I SHARED MY PIZZA WITH?"

"THE ONE WHO I GOT HOME ON TIME?"

The four were shocked...they had finally remembered him. It was pretty hard to remember him because they were one-time events. Springtrap felt a large weight lift off his shoulders and the memories came pouring back to the front of his mind. But why now do they remember by name?

"Why do you guys remember me that way? I wasn't golden...or a bunny?" Springtrap asked.

"No...you were a bunny...but you were more yellow like me and...not looking like Bonnie." Chica said.

Springtrap's eyes widened, so Fredrick did modify his body...and apparently his color too! More stuff about him were finally revealed...but it was still wasn't enough. There was still a bit more left.

"Hmm, well that's not all I need to know. I need to find these creatures and get more info out of them, then I'll DESTROY THEM MYSELF!" Springtrap cracked his knuckles.

"WAIT! Springtrap, we need to work together as a team, that's why we've been trying to find you and talk to you, but you kept fighting with us. Even with your powers, those things will defeat you, most likely kill you. We're all doomed if they succeed in destroying the town. Please work with us, we're not asking you to join our gang...just make a truce." Freddy offered.

But the gang were taken back when Springtrap actually laughed. But his laughter stopped quickly and he frowned.

"Pfft, you expect me to work with you guys? I may know exactly who you guys are, but I would never work with criminals. Also, I work alone. With my powers I don't need help. Besides, I've proven that you four cannot defeat me, how could you possibly save this town?" Springtrap said.

"We can do anything when we work together as a family. We're more powerful when we work together but still are strong when we are separate." Chica said.

Freddy glanced over at Bonnie who wasn't looking at him.

"Springtrap ye won't win this alone, powers or not. And we don't want ye getting hurt." Foxy said.

Springtrap snorted and shook his head.

"You fools, like they could defeat me." Springtrap sneered.

"My brother once fed me the same line about my gang...and he's dead. Springtrap those shadow creatures are more powerful than you and even Nette. Please just listen to us and help us!" Freddy begged.

"NO! I'M DOING THIS MYSELF! I'll hunt them down, AND MAKE THEM ANSWER TO ME!"

Before they could argue, Springtrap zipped between Freddy and Foxy nearly making them fall to the ground.

"SPRINGTRAP WAIT!" Freddy yelled.

"Yar the lad dosent even know where he's going!" Foxy said.

"FOXY AFTER HIM!" Freddy ordered.

"GOT IT!"

Foxy raced away before Freddy noticed Bonnie was gone. Chica then noticed as well.

"Where did Bonnie go?" Chica asked.

"Damn it, we'll have to get Nette before its too late. Bonnie is still not willing to chat I guess." Freddy sighed.

Foxy managed to catch up with Springtrap but of course couldn't pass him. Springtrap had sensed the shadow creatures' signals and was giving chase on the outskirts of town. But Springtrap's plans backfired when he saw Foxy right behind him.

"YER MAKING A MISTAKE LAD!" Foxy yelled.

"I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING!" Springtrap yelled.

"WE'RE NOT LETTING YE ESCAPE AGAIN!"

"WE WILL SEE ABOUT THAT!"

Foxy had to prepare himself for another nighttime high speed battle race, though this time it wasn't with Golden or Bonnie...it was Springtrap.

Shit is about to go down...Foxy must fight to convince Springtrap to work with them. And Springtrap ain't going down without a fight. Will Foxy succeed in his mission? And what happened to Bonnie? STAY TUNED!
