It had been a few weeks since they had move to a little hut on the out skirt of a small town. Though things had seemed to be almost peaceful, Inuyasha still tried to stay out of the villagers' way. That is why he was left alone in the hut. He sat by the window waiting for Kagome and Kaede to come back from the market.
As he sat waiting, he enjoyed the little quiet, which he had now that the voices have seemed to fade away. If he listen close enough he could still hear the voices but he never wanted to. The happiness that the two women have brought to his life and for that he was thankful to both of them.
He couldn't help smiling when he thought back on the last few weeks. It has been the happiest time of his life. With just the things like eating around the table talking about their day and they plan for the next. Or doing simple chores around the hut with no fear of anyone he love getting hurt.
It was strange, that first week. He seemed to always be on his guard. As if he would be attack at any moment. That the ones he loved would be in danger and they would suffer because of him. But nothing happen. Life went on.
Slowly he started to relax and even enjoyed himself. Doing things he never thought that he would. Or even deserve. But as the sun set casting the sky into a ray of colors, he was glad that the two women had enter his life.
Just as the sky turned a bright pink, he could see two figures off in the distance. And he knew that it was the two that brought so much joy in his life and without hesitation, he ran to meet the two. As he approached the two, he was greeted with such love that he had never known before the two had enter his life.
