I only own Meiko

After the whole incident with the skeletal driver, Meiko was put more on edge then she already was. She had only been a part of the class for two days and already she felt like just being here was putting her life on the line. The first day she was left behind in a forest without so much as a warning after a heated moment from Astarte; and the today she was "attacked" along with everyone else and only after a full night of wondering around the wilderness. Throughout the day she had grown even more tired than she already was. It didn't help that she was spending this whole time pushing her abilities to the limit. For the last half an hour she was sure she was going to past out form sheer exhaustion or even drop dead, although that was probably unlikely. She was tired no doubt about it; but she wasn't that tired that she would pass on to the afterlife. Now that she thought about it, what would happen when she kicked the bucket? Since she was half-demon would that mean she's destined to end up in Gehenna or somewhere else? Meiko stopped her training and began to think about it.

"They say you go to Gehenna if you do some pretty nasty stuff, but I don't think I've done anything that bad….or have I?" Meiko tried to remember everything she had done so far in her life. Past memories flooded her mind in a spectrum of colours and feelings. An old memory popped up of her when she was barely six. She was helping her mother bake a huge chocolate cake. Although it most likely only looked like it was that big because she was so small during the time. Meiko's mouth drooled when she remembered the rich chocolate smell that wafted of the cake's surface as her mother pulled it out of the oven; and the wonderful flavours as she shoved a chunk of it straight into her mouth. She also remembered burning her tongue on the hot, fresh food and her mother scalding her for not waiting patiently for it to cool down enough to eat. Now that she thought about it, would that be bad enough for her to go to Gehenna. After all she was told time and time again that she was a little glutton by her mother, and wasn't gluttony or a sin or something like that. Meiko shook her head. "Nah, I'm not that much of a glutton anyway." But that didn't stop her from going over all her memories with food a major factor.

The class seemed to slack off slightly from the absence of their teacher. The pressure wasn't as great as before but that didn't stop her familiar's from bringing them back into line over and over again. The hellhound left on duty to watch Meiko had gained a somewhat bored expression. After all Meiko had almost completely failed at summoning another portal like she did before. However, that didn't stop it from eyeballing her the entire time. Meiko was almost scared to try to summon a portal and fail again, considering her clothes were singed all over. There was no doubt she would have to get new clothes soon. Perhaps she could persuade her "Papa" to lend her some money. How much would she need anyway? From what she had heard from her Mother, some clothes were pretty expensive; and she needed more than one set of clothes. By now the hellhound had almost lost patience with Meiko and growled a warning to her; reminding her to get back to work. "Geez, is this a class or child abuse?" Meiko sighed to herself; being extra careful to not let her beady-eyed watcher hear her. She wasn't looking for any more fresh wounds to show off.

She was too tired to even attempt at using her powers and so spent the rest of the class time pretending to focus on a single spot. Giving her the appearance she was trying to summon a portal. It seemed to work, a little at least. The hellhound still kept a careful eye on her. There was no doubt it was suspicious of her. Realising this, Meiko tried to act like she was focusing harder. Anything to get those eyes off her back. She wondered if she was trying to hard actually. To the others she probably looked like she was straining herself to the point of her eyes crossing and her face turning red. She was getting a few looks in her direction with confused or amused faces. She even heard a couple of quiet giggles come from behind her; but when she turned around to see who it was everyone quickly went back to training. However that didn't stop her from spotting a few turning faces with wide smiles across them. "Already the laughing stock of the class" Meiko sighed to herself before continuing her embarrassing act of focusing.

Eventually day turned into evening and after a long day of training, the class was finally let go to rest for tomorrow. Everyone started to head off towards their dorms; everyone but Meiko. She was too busy looking for her Papa. She had questions to ask him with important answers that she needed to know ASAP. Mostly WHERE THE HELL IS SHE SUPPOSED TO GO?! She was determined not to spend another night outside and turn up to class the next day looking more like a feral. She wanted a soft bed or any bed in fact as long as it wasn't a grass bed; and she wanted a bath. Oh, did she want a bath. She had never been this filthy in all her life. She was covered from head to toe on mud, dirt and all sorts of things, not to mention her "educational" wounds which had just started to heal. Who'd think hellhound bites took longer to heal then normal dog bites. She was tired, dirty and most of all determined to have that bath! And she wasn't going to let her "Papa" get away without pointing her in the right direction and letting her enjoy her well deserved warm bath (With bubbles of course). No one was going to keep her away from her bubble bath; no one!

Meiko was walking faster then everyone else. Most could say she was slowly jogging. She was on a mission of great proportions. Her target..."Papa". She hadn't found him yet but wasn't giving up. She was going to find him before it went dark. "Look out "Papa", I'm coming for you" she said to herself in an energetic tone. She was now jogging faster and looking around quicker. Suddenly she spots a very familiar person. Well, people. Rin and Yukio. They seemed to be arguing to each other. Although she wasn't really "hunting down" them, she thought it wouldn't hurt to ask them if they'd seen her "Papa".

They spotted her coming towards them before she even got close to them. She wasn't exactly quiet. Even while they were arguing with each other. "Good evening Miss Meiko" Yukio politely said to Meiko. He had a friendly smile on his face similar from when she first met him and Rin.

"Oh, um good evening to you to Mr Yukio" She replied back trying to sound as friendly as she could. This seemed to make Yukio smile back at her.

"Oi, what about me?" Rin was looking at both of them, a little hurt that he was ignored slightly. Meiko quickly turned to Rin.

"Oh, sorry, good evening to you to Mr Rin" Rin looked a little happier but still a little hurt. Yukio then turned back to Meiko.

"Is there something you need help with Miss Meiko?" Meiko nodded. Happy that he seemed to know she needed something. This meant she could get right to the point.

"Umm, yes. Have you seen my "Papa" anywhere? I need to ask him a few questions." Rin then looked confused.

"Who's your "Papa"? I don't remember knowing who your "Papa" is?" This made Yukio sigh. "What?" Rin asked even more confused. Yukio then turned to face Rin with an annoyed look on his face.

"Don't you remember? When she was being introduced to Miss Astarte's class." Rin shook his head.

"No. Why?" This made Yukio shake his head slightly. Sometimes he couldn't believe his brother.

"She's the directors daughter." It took about three seconds for it to sink into Rin's head. Then suddenly he was pointing at Meiko with his mouth wide open in disbelief.

"You...you don't mean THAT clown do you?" Meiko nodded. A little confused at his choice of words to describe her "Papa". Yukio nodded back.

"Yes, she is Sir Phele's daughter." Rin couldn't believe it. When did that clown have a daughter? Rin was speechless. Noting his brother's silence in shock. Yukio quickly spoke up.

"I'm sorry, I haven't seen him since class finished." Meiko was disappointed. She was really hoping they had seen him. Anything to help her find her "Papa". Noticing her disappointment, Yukio than decided to ask her what she needed him for. "May I ask why you need him?" Meiko looked back at him with an idea in her mind. Perhaps they could at least tell her where she's meant to go for the night?

"Umm, I wanted to ask him where I'm exactly supposed to go? Considering I spent the night wondering around here." Yukio's eyes opened slightly.

"Don't tell me you actually spent the whole night wondering a forest. That's dangerous for someone your age. Where you alone the whole night?" Meiko nodded her head slowly. The faintest blush of embarrassment appearing on her face. Yukio sighed before taking off his glasses then rubbed his eyes. Meiko smiled nervously. She didn't think the forest was that dangerous. She might have gotten off lucky last night. Yukio then placed his glasses back where they belonged on his face before saying "Perhaps, Rin and I should show you to the female dorms. We won't be able to take you to the your room but it's the least we can do. Meiko lit up immediately at his words.

"Really? That would be very helpful sir." A hopefully smile plastered itself on Meiko's beaming face. Happy at the thought of FINALLY getting a bed and bubble bath. Yukio smiled back at her. Happy to be helpful to someone who needed it. He was also glad to have prevented a minor from roaming a dangerous location at night. Yukio nudged Rin, who was now mumbling to himself; still trying to fully understand what he had just learnt.

"Rin, I've offered for us to escort Miss Meiko to the female dorms." This seemed to bring Rin back to Earth, although still confused. He looked at Yukio then at Meiko before turning back to Yukio.

"Yukio, she's our...our...our-"

'Niece, yes" Yukio interrupted Rin trying to get moving as quickly as possible. The sun was close to disappearing behind the horizon. It was then Meiko's turn to be shocked into disbelief. Did she hear him right. Did he say she was his Niece?

"Umm, I'm sorry sir but did I just here you say I was your niece?" Yukio turned to Meiko before smiling at her.

"Yes, you did Miss Meiko." Meiko's faced then turned quickly confused. Noticing her confused expression, Yukio then decided to clear it all up for both Meiko and his brother. "You see Mephisto, or as you call him, your "Papa" is our older half-brother; which in turn makes us your half-uncles; and you our half-niece. Your also Amaimon's and Astarte's half-niece. As we all share the same father." Meiko looked at him with even more disbelief. So many thoughts were racing through her mind at the same point. Yukio then continued talking Meiko's even more confused look as a question to who their shared father is. "As I said earlier, we all share the same father. Which unfortunately for us is the God of Hell...Satan." Meiko felt like her head was going to explode. Piles of new questions added themselves to the already large pile of questions she needed to ask her "Papa". We would she start anyway? Their was so many to ask and so many answers. Meiko felt dizzy. Yukio placed his hand on her shoulder. A very worried look was on his face along with Rin's." Are you okay? You look a little pale. Perhaps you'd like to sit down?" Meiko shook her head as she was unable to speak. "Then maybe you'd just like to get to the dorm for now?" Yukio asked still worried. Meiko nodded in agreement. All she wanted was to be along with her thought while taking a well deserved bath. Yukio then turned to Rin and signalled for him to help him, before slowly supporting Meiko on both sides as they headed towards the city and dorms.

It was already dark when they finally reached a large building with many windows. Some where lit up from the other side from fellow classmates relaxing or preparing for tomorrow. Rin and Yukio helped Meiko to the two wide doors that led into the building. "Will you be okay from here on?" Yukio asked still worried about Meiko's wellbeing. Meiko nodded slightly while looking down at the pavement that made the ground. Rin went ahead and opened one of the doors for the others, before asking "Are you sure? You still look off?" Once again Meiko nodded before walking through the door and turning around to face them. Rin had moved to stand beside Yukio. Both looked very worried.

"If you need help, I'm sure one of your classmate's will help you," Yukio said trying to hide his concerned look with a heartfelt smile. "and if you ever need Rin or me we'd be happy to help." Meiko smiled but only a little. Yukio gave Meiko one last smile before walking away. Rin stared at Meiko for a few brief seconds before following after. As they left Meiko slowly waved goodbye and then silently closed the door before turning around to face the lit hallway. The floor was made of a lightly coloured wood that was clean from dust. The walls were a matching light cream that together with the floor, made the hallway bright and comforting. Meiko slowly made her way down it, passing a kitchen with it's lights off. Soon she came to the bottom of stairs that lead up to the rooms. If she was going to find her room she had to go up them.

Step by step she went up, her feet were slow from fatigue. She kept her eyes focused on each step as she placed her foot on it. As she reached the top she found herself looking down another hallway similar to the one downstairs, with the only difference being the many doors leading to the end of the hallway of either side. Dragging her feet, Meiko nocked on the closest door to the stairs and waited. She could hear someone moving on the other side before the door opened. Standing before her with an curious look on her face was a girl with brown hair which was tied into a bun. Purple eyes were staring at Meiko's face. "Yeah?" She asked with a friendly smile on her face. Meiko felt bad from interrupting whatever she was doing before she knocked on her door.\

"Umm, I don't really know which room is mine?" Meiko said blushing with embarrassment. No doubt she looked like an idiot to the other girl. The girl continued to smile back at Meiko. Meiko looked behind her and spotted various books scattered across her floor. It appeared the girl had been doing some studying of some sort. The girl then answered.

"Well, you kind of take any room you like. As long as it's empty of course." The girl said still smiling at Meiko. Meiko nodded in reply. "Is there anything else?" the girl asked in more of a curious tone then the annoyed tone Meiko was expecting.

"Umm, yeah, umm where do I take a bath?" Meiko felt a little less embarrassed now. The girl seemed nice. It might have been the smile that made her seem so friendly. The girl pointed to the stairs.

"You go down the stairs, and keep going to you go around a corner. It's the first on your right" Meiko looked to where she was pointing before turning back to the nice girl.

"Uh, thank you" Meiko said giving a smile back. The girl smiled as she nodded before closing the door. Meiko then made her way to the bathroom with the directions she was given.

As Meiko entered the bathroom she found herself in a room a handful of other girls. She didn't feel like talking so she undressed and bathed away from the others. The moment she eased herself into the hot water, all her sore joints seemed to disappear and she quickly felt relaxed. The other girls didn't seem to mind her at least they looked like they didn't. Meiko couldn't care less anyway. She was to busy enjoying her bath. To be honest she was a little disappointed she couldn't have a bubble bath alone, but at the moment a simple bath was wonderful enough to enjoy. Before she knew it she fell asleep in the water. Her head was resting on the side.

When she woke up she was alone. "How long have I been asleep?" Meiko asked herself with lazy eyes. It was eerie quiet in the bathroom while she was alone. The water wasn't hot anymore and had cooled down to a warm temperature. Now clean and satisfied for the moment, Meiko made herself get out of the water and quickly walked towards the spot she left her clothes. Folded beside them was a clean towel. No doubt left by someone. Meiko was to tired to think of left it and so she dried herself off before putting her clothes back on. They smelt horrible and were filthy. Meiko then went upstairs and after a few failed attempts of picking an "empty" room she finally found one. It was large enough for two people as a bed was located on either side of the room. Not wanting to sleep in her dirty clothes Meiko once again stripped and crept into one of the beds covers. The bed was soft and cosy and it didn't take long for Meiko to fall asleep again.

That night she dreamt of her Mother. She seemed sad as she looked out of Meiko's old bedroom window. Her dream then took her back to the screams of the damned. The horrible expressions on their faces as they reached towards Meiko. Begging with their eyes for her to stop their suffering. Her dream quickly became a nightmare. She was then running in the forest at night with the sound of Yukio whispering in the distance "...it's dangerous..." The final image Meiko experienced in this horrible nightmare of hers was being surrounded by raging blue fire that continued to grow closer to her. It's heat growing hotter by the second. As the first flame licked her skin Meiko woke up drenched in sweat and shivering. After calming down she looked in her new room. The first rays of dawn where seeping through her window and spreading across the floor. She lay her head back down on her white cotton pillow. "Another day for the strangest things to happen." Meiko thought to herself.

Hi everyone I'm back. So yeah Meiko now knows about her being related to Rin, Yukio, Amaimon, Astarte and Satan. The uncle scene was given to me by MyPajamasAreCozy. Also Meiko FINALLY got a room and a bath. Yay! Lastly a reply to review about me writing a mary-sue. I'm sorry I didn't make Mephisto the way you wanted. The reason he's like that is 1. I'm not the greatest writer in the world and 2. It's how Meiko sees him. Also if you don't like it, don't read it. Thank you. :P And a big thank you to everyone who likes my style of writing and my story in general. You're the best! :) Stay Awesome! 3
