Chapter 24, here we go!

Btw, someone said they didn't like my female demigod names. It's fine, it doesn't make you weird. In fact, I find the names a bit odd. Except A) the series had a lot of weird names and B) the meaning of the names are why I choose them. It matches there characters perfectly.

Disclaimer: I don't own Percy Jackson.

Hades POV

Hestia came back inside rather quickly with a concerned Hera trailing behind her.

"Can I go now?" I asked. I watched my older sister though, concerned.

"Yep!" Aphrodite said with so much cheer I thought I was going to vomit hearts. "Go ahead!"

"Too bad I can't dare my brothers," I murmured.

"Yeah..." Poseidon said. "That's too bad."

I scowled at him.

"As I was saying," I said. "I think I was about to dare Demeter."

"Super," Demeter mumbled.

"Demeter, truth or dare?" I asked.

"Truth, you necro freak!" Demeter snapped. I felt myself bristle in anger. Persephone's eyes widen.

"Mother!" Persephone shouted, disbelief on her face. Demeter gave her an appalled look.

"You're husband started it!" Demeter shouted. I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever Demeter. Be that way. You still have to answer my question though," I said. She growled.

"Truth. Like I'd ever be dumb enough to pick dare when it concerns you!" Demeter said.

"You want to bet on it?" I asked.

"Hades!" Persephone said, covering her mouth in a gasp.

"Demeter, back during the beginning of the first Titan War, what would you have rated me look wise, 1 to 10?" I asked her. Her face flushed red.

"What kind of question is that?!"

"Really," Persephone said, her face flushing like her mom's. I reached to grab her hand but she snatched it away.

"Back during the war?" Demeter asked.

I nodded. "Yes."

"The beginning of the war, specifically?"

"Yes."

"...I suppose you might've been," Demeter's voice dropped. "An 8."

"Eight ain't half bad." Hephaestus complimented.

"8?" Persephone repeated. "I thought you hated him?"

"Not completely," Demeter admitted.

"Wait... is this because," Poseidon began. He better not say it. He better not— "You two were dating back then?"

That's it. Poseidon is going to Tartarus with Zeus.

"You two what?!" Persephone squealed. I laughed nervously.

"Pay no mind to my idjit brother," I said.

"You use to date my mom?!" Persephone shouted with accusation.

"That was a long, long time ago—"

"When?" Persephone asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

"During the earlier part of the war of course." I replied.

"What happened?" Persephone asked. You'd think I was being interrogated.

"He betrayed us," Demeter interrupted, curse her. "He betrayed us and joined Kronos."

"Water under the bridge," I said, waving my hand. Poseidon bristled.

"We were all in jail for a year because of that. Hestia was in jail for two years," Poseidon said.

"And who got you out?" I asked, tired of having this argument again.

"Who put us there?" Poseidon asked.

"Kronos," I replied, without missing a beat.

"Who told Kronos how to ambush us?" Poseidon asked.

"Please," Hestia said. "No more."

We both went silent.

"At least Zeus wasn't here to argue with you," Hera said.

"Yes, imagine if I had to defend myself against both of my brothers." I grumbled. Hera glared at me as if my brothers' annoying qualities were my fault. Please, if they got it from anyone it was father. He was a pain.

A phone rang.

"Wait a second," Hera said, pulling out her phone. "Yes. Uh-hun. ...What?"

Hera's voice rose at that last part causing everyone to stiffen.

"What's wrong?" Hermes asked. Hera put up a finger to silence him.

"Yes... I understand. I'll tell them. Uh-huh. Good-bye," Hera hanged up the phone and slipped it back into her pocket.

"What was it? What was it?" Hermes asked eagerly and annoyingly. Though I'd be lying to say I wasn't a bit curious myself.

"It was Zeus," Hera said.

"Oh, him," I said. Hera sent me a scathing look.

"Zeus and Ares have found out something important," Hera said. "Victor is innocent."

"What? Innocent?!"

"How's that possible?"

"Who else could it be?"

"It appears that he's been framed," Hera explained, slipping her phone into her pocket. "By someone who has a grudge against him."

"Who'd have a grudge against him?" Apollo asked. The room fell silent and we all tried to think of who it could be (or at least I tried, who knows what my loony relatives were thinking).

Hermes eyes widen with horror. "I know who it is!"

"Who?" Artemis asked.

"It's... Hades!" Hermes shouted. Everyone looked at me, eyes wide.

"Excuse me?" I asked.

"Victor was annoying him during the My Little Pony Marathon," Hermes explained, rather stupidly I might add. Honestly, where was his basis?

"So, how does that lead to me kidnapping Dionysus? I asked.

"You still have a grudge against us don't you?" Hermes asked, sounding a bit angry. "So it'd make sense for you to send one of your lackey's to kidnap Dionysus while they were disguised as a god you hate."

"None of my subordinates are lackeys!" I shouted angrily. "And I didn't kidnap Dionysus!"

"They are too lackeys!" Hermes shouted back.

"Are you calling Thanatos a lackey?" I asked him. I pulled out my phone. "Do you want me to call him and tell him your said that?"

Hermes blanched.

"No," He whimpered sitting down.

"Besides, last time I checked you were one of my 'lackeys' too," I grumbled.

"This doesn't change the fact that you may be guilty," Poseidon said. "You can't hide behind Thanatos like a coward."

"I'm not a coward!" I growled. What was with my brothers calling me a coward?

"Doesn't Thanatos have a demigod child?" Hestia asked suddenly.

"...What?"

"A demigod. Doesn't he have a child?" Hestia asked. How... How did she...

"That's right," Hera said. "How'd he do it? I thought the god of Death couldn't create life."

"He can," I murmured. "He just doesn't like too."

It seems my family had been momentarily distracted by Hestia (I always knew they had the attention span of a two year old).

The door to the kitchen suddenly opened and Victor walked in. We all remained silent, unsure what to say.

"Do you know where Hecate is?" He asked us.

"Hecate?" Hera asked, frowning. Victor nodded.

"I want to speak to her."

We all pondered whether we should answer or not. Finally, Hephaestus spoke.

"Yes, she is in her studio working on some spells." Hephaestus said. Victor broke out into a wide grin.

"Thanks man, I owe ya," Victor said. He flew away faster than a whip, disappearing into the sky.

"Gotta race him one of these days." Hermes mumbled. I stood up and walked out the door.

"Hades!" Poseidon shouted. "Where are you going?"

"I'm done," I said. After having the me dating Demeter admitted to being blamed for kidnapping an Olympian, I was over this game. So much. I slammed the door behind myself.

Ares' POV

"I want to help," Victor said, walking over to dad and I.

I snorted. "Yeah right punk. Like we'd let you."

"Fine," Dad said. My jaw dropped.

"Wha—"

"If anyone knows who would have a grudge against Victor, it Victor," My dad replied. "And as much as I don't want to work with him, it's for the best." My dad turned around and sighed. "And I really don't want to."

"Awesome!" Victor said, the little creep. "A road trip. Pe-kah!"

"Dad," I whined. "Do we have to travel with this little freak?"

"Unfortunately, yes." Dad said. Athena stared at us wide eyed for a moment as if trying to figure out what we were talking about. After a few seconds, she finally seemed to realize.

"Wait... Victor's leaving?" Athena asked, getting up off the ground. "But I still need to talk to him and figure out what's going on!"

"We'll figure out what's going on if he comes with us," Dad said. Athena looked like she wanted to argue but she kept her mouth shut.

"That's all fine and dandy." I said waving my hand dismissively. "But I'm ready to go."

"Ares," My dad said in a threatening tone.

"Fine, fine. But let's just go," I said. My dad sighed and led us out of the house. We went walking through the streets, not a word being passed between us. After a while, the quiet began to get on my nerves.

"So..." I said. "What are we going to do?"

"Wait a sec," Dad said stiffening. He held out his arms to stop me and Victor. He looked up in the sky, disbelief covering his features. "It can't be..."

Victor looked up to. "Wait... how? How can that be—"

I looked up to see what they were talking about. I froze in shock too.

Flying across the Olympus sky was... Victor.
