Full Summary: This side series is connected to Sky Series 02: The Guarding Sky - Chapter 48. This is about the final battle between Kudo Shinichi, Miyano Shiho, Kuroba Kaito and their allies against the Black Organization and the Magic Kaito Organization.

Chapter 02 – Alliance

It was six days later in Ekoda High School.

~ In class 2-B ~

~ Kaito's Point Of View ~

It was after school and I was keeping my things into my bag. Today was one of those rare days where Aoko was busy and could not come to school. I was glad to get a break from her beatings, even if it was for her benefit that I was pranking her. When I finished putting all my things into my bag, I saw Akako (1) walking towards me and the boys who were still in class and saw her had become love-struck at the sight of her.

I mentally rolled my eyes. 'Hormones…' I put on my poker face and smiled when Akako stood in front of my table. "What is wrong, Akako?"

Akako leaned near to my ear and whispered. "The little detective is waiting for you at the school entrance, he knows of your other identity. But fear not and talk to him as he has reasons for seeking you out in your true form, it is really important as it will help you in your quest. He is also wearing a disguise."

My eyes widened slightly and I laughed sheepishly. "What do you mean by that, Akako?"

Akako stood back up properly and smirked. "This is what Lucifer-sama told me. Anyway, you better not keep him waiting. He will be able to help you find what you seek."

My face darkened slightly while I grabbed my bag tightly and whispered. "Thank you, Akako-chan…" and I walked out of my classroom.

Akako blushed slightly at that and smiled. "Anything to keep you safe, Kaito-kun~"

~ Entrance of Ekoda High School ~

~ Normal Point of View ~

Leaning against the wall was a child with dark brown hair, wearing a black shirt, pants and a dark blue jacket with a hood. The child was also wearing a cap and was looking around for someone.

When a person walked out of said school, the child smirked slightly before jumping towards the person. "Nii-san!"

~ Kaito's Point Of View ~

When I walked out of the school, someone suddenly jumped towards me. "Nii-san!"

I caught him by reflex and hid my surprise when I heard tantei-kun's voice. Akako's ability to talk to her Lucifer-sama to know about the future is truly amazing and frightening.

I put on my usual smile and ruffled Conan's hair. "Hello my little brother…" and I slowly walked away from school. "What are you doing here?"

Conan chirped brightly. "I came to see you, nii-san~!" He hugged me and whispered. "Please bring me to your house. We can talk more privately there, Kid-san."

I sighed and murmured while changing the direction of walking to my house. "So, what Akako said was really true…"

Conan raised an eyebrow. "You are not really surprised by my appearance here, Kid-san."

I nod. "Did you really think that I would have caught you just now when I do not even know why you decided to seek out the real me, tantei-kun?"

Conan hummed. "Do you really know the reason of why I am here?"

I shrugged. "I do not really know. It is just that Akako told me that you will help me find what I seek."

Conan hummed again. "Do you mean Koizumi Akako? She is your classmate and a witch that can talk to her Lucifer-sama right?"

I sighed. "I do not even want to know how you got that information. Let us just go to my house and get this over with, my mom will not be home today anyway."

Conan nods. "Your mom is Kuroba Chikage (2), the Phantom Lady."

I groaned. "How much did you investigate about my whole family and close friends?"

Conan shrugged. "I know pretty much everything about you, your family and the one person you hold hear in your heart."

I was shocked. "H-How…?"

Conan shrugged again. "I learned how to do hacking when I needed to get information from the police files or the suspect's computer. They did not even notice when I did it though, it was quite easy."

Kaito pointed out. "You sound like a criminal now~ you know that right~?"

Conan ignored that and continued. "Do not worry though… I have not told anyone about your family's secrets, other than your identity as Kid-san."

I thought for a while and just signed. "Did you get permission to come to my area? Will that karate girl and sleeping detective not scold you for this?"

Conan shaked his head. "I was pulled out of school by my mom acting as Conan's mom and from living at the detective agency. Anyway, let us just quickly go to your house. We have a lot to talk about."

I agreed. "Where did you get the wig?"

"You do not have to know."

I nod and quickly walked back to my house while carrying Conan.

~ Kaito's home ~

~ Normal Point of View ~

They went into the house where Kaito puts Conan down on the floor and Conan immediately went around the house looking for something. When Kaito was about to ask Conan what he was doing, Conan silenced him by making a hand sign to him to wait for a while. Conan carefully searched all around the living room and was satisfied that nowhere was bugged, he rested on the sofa.

Kaito handed Conan a glass of water. "What were you doing, tantei-kun?"

Conan took off his wig while hiding it into his jacket's hood and accepted the glass of water. "Looking for listening bugs, your house may have been bugged by it. Thanks for the water, Kid-san."

Kaito stiffened. "Are there any…?"

Conan scoffed. "If there is any after I checked all over your house, I will not even be calling you Kid-san."

Kaito sighed in relieve. "Why should there be any listening bugs in my house?"

"Because the Magic Kaito Organization knows of Kaitou Kid's real identity and has made an alliance with the Black Organization and are also sharing said information with them. Said two organizations are planning to kill you after you and everyone precious to you to obtain the Pandora."

Kaito stiffed even more and was afraid. "W-What…?"

Conan sighed. "I will explain…"

Conan then started explaining about what he heard when he sneaked into the Black Organization's main HQ, everything about the Black Organization in details, how he was turned back into a child and the allies he has. In return, Kaito explained to him the reason of why he decided to take up the mantle of being Kaitou Kid, everything about the Magic Kaito Organization in details and the allies he has as well.

~ After Conan and Kaito explain their situations to each other ~

Conan sipped his tea. "Your enemies are dangerous, Kaito."

Kaito sipped his tea too. "Your enemies are as well, Shinichi. Anyway, do you know where the Pandora is?"

Conan sighed and nods. "After I investigated about your father's death, I somehow found out the location of where the Pandora is and the name it is currently named as. Let us make a deal Kaito… I will help you by telling you the location of where the Pandora is. In return, I would like your help in totally taking down the Black Organization and the Magic Kaito Organization."

Kaito hummed. "I was planning on taking down the Magic Kaito Organization after I destroyed the Pandora anyway… so yes, I will help you to take them down."

Conan nods again. "Good. Also, you should come to the Kudo mansion in the weekend with Nakamori Aoko and Hakuba Saguru. I will tell you the location of where Pandora is and the name it is currently known as."

Kaito narrowed his eyes. "You are planning on telling them about all this as well, are you not?"

"Yes, Ran will be there. I will have to call Heiji and tell him to bring Kazuha-san as well. We will need their help for this."

Kaito groaned. "Did Shiho-san agreed to this?"

"She did argue a bit in the beginning, but in the end, she agreed. It is time they (Ran, Kazuha, Aoko and Saguru) learn the truth anyway, this will be the last and ultimate confrontation against the two organizations. I am also getting the feeling that we will need their help as well and they will not be safe when both organizations discover my true identity and track us down after you obtain the Pandora. It is better that they know about this rather than them being held as hostages and hearing the truth from who kidnapped them."

"You are right," and Kaito sighed. "I really do not like this."

Conan chuckled bitterly. "I as well, but I do not want any of my precious people hurt in any way anymore."

Kaito covered his eyes as he thought back about his father's death. "I know what you mean…"

Conan sighed softly as he knew what Kaito was thinking. "Do not think about it."

Kaito looked at Conan, his tears almost falling. "Y-Yeah…" and he rubbed his eyes. "Anyway, are you staying overnight in my house?"

Conan nods. "Yes, if you do not mind I would like to stay here. I have already told Agasa-hakase and Haibara because I am sure that it will take a me a few hours to explain all this and it will already be late at night when I finish discussing with you."

"Alright then Shinichi, I will go and prepare the extra room. Can you order us take out for our dinner or do you want to cook for us?" while Kaito stood up.

Conan stood up as well while raising an eyebrow. "Can you not cook?"

Kaito laughed sheepishly. "I can… but my cooking is not that good."

Conan sighed. "I will handle it."

"Thanks~" and Kaito ran upstairs to prepare the extra room.

Conan shaked his head while taking off his jacket and hanging it on the clothes hanger near the entrance door. Then he went into the kitchen to prepare dinner instead of ordering take out. When Kaito came down, he was shocked to see a feast on his table and Conan wearing an apron. Kaito dazedly went to wash his hands and sat down at the table.

They both started to have dinner.

~ After Conan and Kaito had dinner ~

Kaito washed and kept the dishes. "How can you cook this good?"

Conan shrugged while helping. "I have been taught how to cook all kinds of dishes as both my parents had to work in other countries and had no time to cook for me when I was growing up. Over the years, my cooking skills improve a lot."

Kaito whistled. "That is nice."

Conan nods and they both finished cleaning up the dishes. After that, Conan takes his jacket from the clothes hanger and Kaito leads Conan to the extra room. They bid each other goodnight and went to sleep.

~ Author's note ~

(1) Koizumi Akako is a witch that practices black magic, including a spell which makes all men adores and loves her, except for Kaitou Kid for she was that he is the only one she can never force him to fall in love with her through magic. She then discovered that Kuroba Kaito is Kaitou Kid. Hence, she wants to have Kaitou Kid fall for her naturally, but never succeeds in doing so. Even though she has slightly evil intentions, she does care for Kaito in a way that could possibly be more than just to make him fall for her, as she is often trying to help him in her own little ways. She claims to have the spirit of Lucifer, and if she cries, she will lose her powers. This character is from the manga/anime Magic Kaito.

(2) Kuroba Chikage A.K.A. Phantom Lady was the great thief known as the Showa Era's of twenty faces. She wore horror make up and was very popular for only targeting large companies and very rich individuals who use illegal ways to earn money. During one of her heist in Paris, Toichi dresses in the Kaitou Kid outfit and rescues her from being captured. As they escaped, he kisses her, comparing her to a jewel. In order to protect her, Toichi decided to become an infamous phantom thief so that he can take attention away from her previous heists as the Phantom Lady. He then asks if she would "take up residence in his jewellery box" to which she agrees. This character is from the manga/anime Magic Kaito.
