Full Summary: This side series is connected to Sky Series 02: The Guarding Sky - Chapter 48. This is about the final battle between Kudo Shinichi, Miyano Shiho, Kuroba Kaito and their allies against the Black Organization and the Magic Kaito Organization.

Chapter 04 – Explanation Part One

The next day, Shinichi and Shiho woke up at 7 in the morning. They prepared themselves and then went to make breakfast. After they finish making breakfast, Shiho went to Agasa-hakase's room to wake him up while Shinichi went to his house to see if Subaru was awake yet.

After Agasa-hakase woke up and Shinichi dragged Subaru to Agasa-hakase's house, they had breakfast together. After they had breakfast, they went to Shinichi's house to set up the meeting room, prepare the tea and make sure that Shinichi's house is not bugged at all by anyone other than their own listening bugs.

~ Kaito, Aoko and Saguru's Point Of View ~

After each of them woke up in their individual houses, they got ready to go to the XX café to have breakfast together. Kaito waited until Aoko's father got out of the Nakamori house before walking over to the house where Aoko got out of her house with her handbag while Saguru got out of his house by telling his Baya, Fukase Rie (1) that he was going somewhere with his friends and not to worry about him.

They all gathered in the XX café at 8 in the morning. In said café, Kaito and Saguru sat beside each other while Aoko sat opposite of them. They head breakfast with Aoko and Saguru talking to each other about Kaito's rare serious attitude while Kaito mentally prepared himself to reveal his own secrets.

After all of them have breakfast, they left the XX café and went to a bus stop near the XX café. They rode a bus to Beika Bus Station and to a taxi to Shinichi's house.

~ Ran, Heiji and Kazuha's Point Of View ~

Kazuha got up at 6 in the morning and called Heiji to wake him up. After she prepared herself, she grabbed her bag and handbag, and then went to Heiji's house where Heiji was waiting for her with his own bag. They got out of their house very easily because their fathers already went to the Osaka Prefectural Police HQ to work and Shizuka (Heiji's mother) was having a vacation with her friends that week.

They got onto a place and reached Tokyo at 8 in the morning, and then they got a taxi to Café Poirot where Ran was already waiting for them. Ran did not tell her father as he will make a fuss about it and left the detective agency quietly. They had breakfast together and talked about how they have been.

After they finished their breakfast, they got into a taxi and went to Shinichi's house.

~ Shinichi's house ~

Ran, Heiji and Kazuha were the group to arrive first and Subaru led them into a meeting room where there is tea ready for them. Heiji tried to ask Subaru where Shinichi is, but Subaru answered him with riddles that confused him more. When they entered the meeting room, Subaru told them to wait for some more people to arrive before leaving the room. Heiji sighed while Ran and Kazuha poured tea for the three of them to enjoy.

Ten minutes later, Subaru entered the meeting room again with three more people and told them to wait for a while as well. This time, Subaru did not even answer Saguru's questions and left the room. Once Subaru left the room, everything became chaotic. Heiji and Saguru immediately faced each other and started asking each other questions with electricity flying between them while Kaito sighed. Aoko and Ran were staring at each other curiously while Kazuha was intrigued by their similarities and poured tea for the three other guests.

None of them noticed two people entering the meeting room until one of them decided that shouting at the two detectives to shut up would be of no use and took out a gun. The person pointed the gun towards the sky and fired twice. Immediately, the two detectives stopped bickering and all of them looked at who fired the gun. Said person kept his gun hidden while sighing.

The person looked at all of them blankly. "Do not worry… it was blank."

"Shinichi! / Kudo! Kudo-kun!" (Ran / Heiji / Kazuha)

Kaito just raised an eyebrow, Aoko was shocked because of Shinichi's similarities to Kaito and Saguru was surprised to see another detective rival.

Shinichi sighed again. "Sit down and I will explain now," and he turned to Kaito. "You ready for this?"

Kaito nods. "Yes, it is time."

Shinichi hummed and took a seat beside Ran. Shiho followed and sat on the other side of Shinichi, when Saguru saw her, he was even more surprised.

Shinichi looked at them. "Alright then, I am sure everyone is wondering why we are here. But first, let us introduce ourselves to each other as some of us do not know each other. I am Kudo Shinichi," and he waved to Shiho.

Shiho folded her hands. "Miyano Shiho."

"Nakamori Aoko."

"Kuroba Kaito."

"Hakuba Saguru."

"Hattori Heiji."

"Toyama Kazuha."

"Mouri Ran."

Shinichi nods. "Now that the introductions are done, we will enter the main topic. The matters I will now tell all of you are very dangerous information and under no circumstances should you tell anyone else, if you do… I cannot guarantee their safety. Well, your safety is not guaranteed either…"

Shiho, Heiji and Kaito's eyes darkened while Ran, Kazuha, Aoko and Saguru were shocked.

"WHAT…?!"

"Let me explain, the reason why I kept disappearing and reappearing… why I did not want my name to be known by the public when I solved a case… is because of the Black Organization."

"Black… Organization…?"

"Yes, this organization does not want to be known and anyone who knows of their existence or betrayed them is immediately silenced."

Everyone except those who know the true horror of the Black Organization was frightened and afraid while those who know about the real horror of the Black Organization, their eyes darkened even more.

Saguru breathed in. "Ten why are you telling us about the Black Organization when it is so dangerous for us to know?!"

Shinichi sighed. "Because I now know where their main hidden HQ is and have finally regained what is mine and hers. I want to take them down permanently and this may be the last time I can tell any of you what I want. Anyway, I will start on how I got into contact with the Black Organization."

Ran's eyes widened as she realised what Shinichi meant. "The roller coaster murder case in Tropical Land…"

Shinichi nods. "Yes, the two guys in all black clothing. The one with sliver long hair is Gin, and his partner with black hat is Vodka. When we were leaving Tropical Land, I saw Vodka going into a dark alley and decided to follow him. Once I did, I saw him making an illegal transaction with another person. I was so concentrated on the deal that I let my guard down that I did not notice Gin who was behind me and knocked me out. He then decided to force feed me a drug that was supposed to kill me, but it did not. Instead, I was shrink down into a child's body. If the Black Organization found out that I was still alive from this incident, they will chase me down and murder the people around me. So, I decided to hide my true identity and changed my name into Edogawa Conan."

Ran and Kazuha were shocked. "Conan-kun…?!"

Shinichi sighed. "Yes…" and he blocked Ran's attack while dodging Kazuha's attack as well, he also almost attacked them back but hold back. "Ran, I tried to tell you that I did not want to go in there with you, and what did you do? Forcefully drag me into the bath anyway against my will, and now you still want to hit me for this? Kazuha, you as well…"

Ran and Kazuha blushed at this. "Sorry…" and Kazuha went back to her seat.

Shinichi waved them off. "It is fine."

Ran folded her hands. "Anyway Shinichi… when did you learn how to fight? When you blocked my attack and dodged Kazuha-chan's attack, you were also ready to strike us back but you did not."

"I started training in martial arts ever since I was a child as I wanted to be like Holmes. I told you before did I not, that Holmes was really good in fighting but does not use his skills until he absolutely needs it."

Suddenly, Heiji cuts in. "Kudo, does this mean she found the antidote for APTX-4869?"

Shinichi dead-panned. "If she did not, do you think I would have gathered all of us here with my normal form?"

Heiji sweat-dropped. "I suppose so…"

"APTX-4869…?"

"It is the name of the drug I was forced to take."

Saguru folded his hands. "Then why is Ho-chan here?"

Shinichi raised an eyebrow to Shiho. "Ho-chan…?"

Shiho sighed. "My nickname when I was young, only my childhood friend has the right to call me that. Unfortunately, my childhood friend happens to be Sagu-chan."

Shinichi sweat-dropped at that. "Sagu-chan…? Seriously?!"

Saguru twitched. "Please do not be so mean as it has been a long time since we talked to each other, much less seen each other since the day you left."

Shiho humped and looked away.

Shinichi shaked his eyes. "Anyway, Shiho herself will tell you why and how she is involved in my mess."

Shiho puts her hair behind her right ear. "I was once a member of the Black Organization, codenamed Sherry. I was working for them as a scientist and was the main person who developed APTX-4869, the drug that Kudo-kun was forced to take."

Everyone except those who knows the truth about Shiho immediately became wary of her.

But before any of them can do any harm towards Shiho, Heiji cuts in. "Wait… let her finish her explanation first."

Kazuha wined. "But Heiji, she is one of them!"

(1) Baya is the Hakuba's family's housekeeper and Hakuba Saguru's guardian in Japan. Her real name was not given in the manga/anime and so I decided to give her one for future use. Her name will be Fukase Rie, with Fukase meaning 'deep, riffle' and Rie means 'logic, blessing'. This character is from the manga/anime Magic Kaito.
