Full Summary: This side series is connected to Sky Series 02: The Guarding Sky - Chapter 48. This is about the final battle between Kudo Shinichi, Miyano Shiho, Kuroba Kaito and their allies against the Black Organization and the Magic Kaito Organization.

Chapter 13 – After The Heist

Three days later, Aoko was walking back from school with Akako as Akako had asked her to with the reason of going to Aoko's house. Aoko was walking quietly while Akako as usual was boosting about her success with the boys.

Suddenly, Akako pushed Aoko down to the floor and covered her body while chanting some protection charm onto her when bullets started raining down on them. Everyone that was near them quickly went to hide behind things.

Aoko was shocked. "W-Why… Akako-chan?"

Akako hugged Aoko as she coughed out blood. "B-Because… you are i-important (cough) to K-Kaito…"

A few moments pass, the bullets stopped raining down on them as the shooter fled from the scene and Aoko quickly called Kaito to inform him of the situation as the others in public called the police.

Suddenly, Akako turned Aoko towards her after she ended her call. "A-Aoko… please tell K-Kaito (cough cough) to trust them the p-person… that will safe all of y-you (cough) from n-near death…" and she closed her eyes.

Aoko gasped and shaked Akako. "Akako! Wake up! Akako!"

Akako breathed in. "D-Do not worry… t-the bullets did not hit any… v-vital parts…" and she fainted.

Aoko puts Akako's body down gently as tears fell from her eyes. "Thank you…"

~ Before Aoko called Kaito ~

~ Kaito and Saguru's Point Of View ~

Saguru was walking home from school as his housekeeper was busy when Kaito was suddenly walking beside him.

Saguru sighed. "What are you doing here, Kaito?"

Kaito hummed. "Akako asked Aoko to walk home with her."

Saguru raised an eyebrow. "And that means…?"

"Akako has the ability to predict the future… and that means…"

Suddenly, Kaito's phone rang and he answered it quickly. Few minutes later, he closed his phone and started fixing his shoes.

Saguru was curious. "What happened?"

Kaito finished fixing his shoes and started fixing Saguru's shoes next. "Aoko has been attacked and Akako protected her. Akako is currently unconscious and Aoko request you to call your father to put Akako into the highest level of police protection."

Saguru nods. "I will do so," and he took out his phone. "What did you do to my shoes?"

"I modified it. Do not worry… I will lead you to the right way, just call your father."

Saguru quickly called his father, Hakuba Akio (1), the Superintendent General (2) of the police while Kaito pulled him to where Aoko is by wearing the modified rocket super sneakers (3).

~ The location where Aoko and Akako are ~

~ Normal Point of View ~

Once Kaito and Saguru reached the location, Akio was already there and Akako was being put into the ambulance. Kaito quickly made their modified shoes disappear before he disappeared from sight while Saguru being walking towards Akio.

Akio looked at Saguru. "What is happening now, Saguru? Why did you request the highest protection for her?"

Kaito went to Aoko where she was talked by several police detectives and he quickly took her away from them and disguised themselves as the normal police detectives.

Saguru sighed. "Yes, but I cannot tell you…" He was suddenly grabbed by two police officers and was escaping. "I will explain everything to you once everything has been settled. Just please… protect Koizumi Akako at all cost and you do not have to be worried about me!"

Saguru saw Akio nods before he and the other two police officers vanished from sight.

~ Akio's Point Of View ~

I sighed and pinched my nose bridge.

Chaki (4) -keishi (5) looked at me. "What are we to do now, Keishi-sokan?"

I quickly made a decision. "Put Koizumi Akako under highest level of police protection and keep her alive as long as possible!"

"Yes, Sir!"

I looked at where Aoko was just now and discovered she was missing. "And Chaki! Make sure to tell Nakamori that his daughter is with my son and under no circumstances is he to find out where she is!"

Chaki-keishi was shocked. "Are you sure, Keishi-sokan?"

I nod. "Yes, my son must have a good reason for this."

~ Kaito, Aoko and Saguru's Point Of View ~

Kaito fixed Saguru's shoes again as they decided to travel to Shinichi's house using said shoes. The three then changed their phones into untraceable phones and Kaito was given a bag by Konosuke.

Saguru flipped his new phone open. "Kaito, your house?"

Kaito flipped his new phone open as well. "It has been taken care of and my mom is there."

Aoko carried the bag and pulled the two boys out. "Let us go!"

They started travelling to Shinichi's house by using the underground tunnels while Kaito informed Shinichi and Saguru informed Shiho about what happened.

~ After Kaito and Saguru called Shinichi and Shiho ~

~ Shinichi and Shiho's Point Of View ~

They faced each other and nod. Then, Shinichi called Ran and Miwako to inform them of the situation while Shiho called Heiji. Subaru who heard them called Jodie as well.

All of them agreed to gather in Shinichi's house as soon as possible and made up excuses to their parents or guardians or superiors and quickly rushed to Shinichi's house while making sure nobody was following them.

Once everyone was gathered, it was already at night. Those who were familiar with computers begin to plug many computers together while the others made sure that nobody was spying on them.

They then started the counter attack to stop the Magic Kaito Organization from killing the others that are somehow connected to Kaito in their eyes. Because of this, Gin recognized whose work it was and told the Magic Kaito Organization that their traitor, Shery is working with Kaitou Kid.

(1) Hakuba Saguru's father is a police officer with the rank of Superintendent General and his first name is unknown. I decided to give him a first name 'Akio' which means bright boy. This character is from the manga/anime Magic Kaito the most.

(2) Superintendent General A.K.A. Keishi-sokan is the highest police rank and the head of Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, the largest prefectural-level jurisdiction in Japan. This position is currently held by Hakuba Akio.

(3) The modified rocket super sneakers are just mini rockets attached to roller blades. These modified rocket super sneakers were used by Kaitou Kid in one of his heist to escape from Nakamori-keibu in Magic Kaito Season 1 Episode 08. This item is from the manga/anime Mafic Kaito.

(4) Chaki Shintaro is the superintendent of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police 2nd Division and Nakamori Ginzo's superior. This character is from the manga/anime Magic Kaito.

(5) Superintendent A.K.A. Keishi is Rank 5 within the Prefectural Police Organization and is equivalent to Director of a division / section.
