Full Summary: This side series is connected to Sky Series 02: The Guarding Sky - Chapter 48. This is about the final battle between Kudo Shinichi, Miyano Shiho, Kuroba Kaito and their allies against the Black Organization and the Magic Kaito Organization.

Chapter 14 – The Attack

The Black Organization and the Magic Kaito Organization begin to work together to track down their traitor and target. In the middle of their investigation, they found out that Kudo Shinichi and Edogawa Conan is the same person while Miyano Shiho and Haibara Ai is the same person as well.

Meanwhile, Kudo Shinichi and his allies were preparing for the grand last confrontation against the allied organizations and they move their base to the underground. They were now securing weapons through the FBI's connection and wearing the ear-piece improved by Shiho. All of them have moved into the underground base except for Miwako and Wataru as they have to keep up their appearance at their work.

~ Agasa-hakase's Residence ~

~ Agasa-hakase's Point Of View ~

Dead in the night, I was woken up from my sleep when something hard hit my head and I felt blood dripping down on the side of my head. I tried to sit up, but I was immediately pushed back down onto my bed and something cold was pressed against my neck. I stiffened as I knew it was a gun pressing against my neck.

I narrowed my eyes while pressing onto a button hidden under my pillow. "What do you want?"

The person who was pressing a gun against my neck now puts the gun against my head. "Agasa Hiroshi…"

I gasped as I knew that voice and whispered. "You are… 'Anokata'…"

'Anokata' smirked. "So, Kudo Shinichi knows who I am…"

My eyes widened. 'He knows!'and I pressed another button hidden under my pillow, while glaring at 'Anokata'. "What do you want from me?"

'Anokata' grinned evilly. "I want your inventions, and the current location of Kudo Shinichi and Sherry."

I growled. "I will not tell or give you anything!"

'Anokata' grabbed my face and I felt him glare at me. "DO AS I SAY!"

I struggled and pushed him away from me. "NO!" while I heard from my hidden ear-piece that the transfer was complete and I mentally grinned.

'Anokata' prepared to shoot his gun. "Then die, Agasa Hiroshi!"

I quickly pressed the third button and my basement exploded. The explosion shaked the whole house and 'Anokata' fell to the floor. Another explosion shaked the whole house as my second floor exploded, debris was falling all over me and I was panting heavily.

I laughed. "I will not let you kill me that easily!" and suddenly I was shot in the heart while I coughed out blood.

I heard 'Anokata' laughing cruelly. "If I cannot get the information I want from you, I can get it from the Kudo Residence and reduce the number of allies Kudo has!" and 'he' walked out of my house.

I smirked as I pressed the last button and I heard 'Anokata' cursing loudly as the Kudo Residence exploded, burning everything in the house.

I lay back down onto my bed and coughed out more blood. "It will not be too easy for you…" and I hold my bleeding chest.

I breathed in slowly while my house and the Kudo Residence were burning down. 'Good luck Shinichi, everyone…' and I closed my eyes forever.

~ Underground Base~

~ Normal Point of View ~

Everyone were woken up to the sound of Shiho's computer alarm and Shiho immediately rushed to the computer and begin typing while Shinichi rushed to another computer as well and did the same. The rest followed from behind.

Ran yawned. "What is wrong?"

Suddenly, Shiho stopped typing and a tear fell from her eyes. "H-Hakase…"

Shinichi's eyes widened. "He has transferred the data of all his inventions' blueprints, information about our identities. He also made my house and his house burned down when 'Anokata' killed him."

Ran, Kazuha and Aoko gasped while tears fell from their eyes as Heiji, Saguru, Jodie and Camel looked away. Shiho's tears fell more silently while Shinichi's tears were also falling with Ran hugging him from behind.

After a few moments, they stopped crying and calmed down.

Jodie urged all of them. "Come on, we have to tell Miwako and Wataru about this."

Shinichi nods and shakily took out his untraceable phone but before he could press the number, Kaito stopped him.

"I will do it. You should go and rest yourself more. I will ask when and where the funeral will be for you."

"T-Thank you…" and Shinichi shakily stood up and went back to looking at the computer, a few tears still falling.

Kaito sighed and called Miwako.

~ Before Kaito called ~

~ Miwako's Point Of View ~

Tonight, Wataru was staying over in my house. Suddenly, my phone rang and I answered it. After I heard the news, my eyes widened and I quickly told Wataru to wake up. I told him what happened and we quickly went to prepare ourselves.

Before long, we were in my car with Wataru driving. Then, my phone rang again and I answered it.

~ Kaito and Miwako talking through the phone ~

"Hello, Sato speaking."

"Ah~ Sato-keiji, we have news that-"

Miwako cuts Kaito off. "I know, we are rushing there now, Megure-keibu summoned us. How are Shinichi, Shiho and Ran-chan dealing with this?"

"They are really saddened by this and Shinichi broke down. Do you know when the funeral will be held and where?"

Miwako hummed. "Since he is quite famous, his funeral will be held in Beika Cemetery in two days' time."

Kaito nods. "Okay, I will tell them."

"Anyway, what should I tell Megure-keibu about this?"

Kaito hummed. "Tell them nothing, but tell Megure-keibu to tell Hakuba Keishi-sokan that his son wants to tell him some important things on the day of Agasa-hakase's funeral."

Miwako nods. "Will you be attending...?"

"Yes, I will need to help them to disguise themselves because they will want to attend it as well."

"Alright then, I will tell Megure-keibu."

"Bye~"

"Goodbye."

And they both closed their phones.

~ Miwako and Wataru's Point Of View ~

After Miwako closed her phone, Wataru asked. "How are they?"

Miwako kept her phone. "The three took it quite hard and they will want to attend the funeral."

Wataru nods. "I hope they can control themselves. I am pretty sure that the allied organizations will be watching as well."

Miwako nods. "Yes, I know. Also, I have a message to give to Hakuba Keishi-sokan."

Wataru sighed. "I will accompany you."

~ Underground Base ~

~ Normal Point of View ~

Kaito closed his phone. "The funeral will be held in two days' time at Beika Cemetery. What is the plan?"

Subaru folded his hands. "I will stay in the base with Jodie and Camel. The rest of you can go if you like."

"I will go." (Shinichi)

"I will go as well." (Ran)

"I want to go." (Shiho)

"I will go. My mom may be going to." (Heiji)

"I will go with Heiji." (Kazuha)

"I will need to speak with father." (Saguru)

"I will go and help with the disguises." (Kaito)

"I will go and pay my respects for him." (Aoko)

Subaru nods. "With that settled, I will leave you to your own devices."

~ On the scene of the double explosions ~

~ Agasa Residence and Kudo Residence ~

When Miwako and Wataru arrived, Juzo and Ninzaburo. Firemen were currently going through the remains of both the houses. When they reached where Juzo is, they were shocked to see Akio and Kiyonaga there.

Miwako and Wataru immediately saluted. "Hakuba Keishi-sokan! Matsumoto (1) -keishi!"

Akio waved them off. "At ease."

"Yes, Sir!"

Miwako blinked. "Hakuba Keishi-sokan, may I ask why you are here?"

Akio hummed. "I felt a feeling that this bombing case has a connection to my son's disappearance act… you two knew the owner of this house (points to Agasa Residence) well, right?"

Wataru nods. "Yes Sir. He has helped us in our investigations."

Akio nods and looked them in the eyes.

Suddenly, Akio turned his full attention to Miwako. "Keiji, you have something to tell me?"

'As expected of a man who is currently the top rank police detective, his deduction abilities are good…' and Miwako nods. "Yes, Keishi-sokan…" and she spoke softer. "Your son will speak to you after the funeral for Agasa Hiroshi is held."

Akio's eyes widened. "How do you know?"

"He told me, Sir," and Miwako saluted once more before leaving with Wataru who saluted them as well and followed her.

~ After Miwako and Wataru left ~

~ Akio's Point Of View ~

I pinched my nose bridge. Saguru really does like doing this.

Megure-keibu was shocked by this. "What was all that about, Keishi-sokan?"

I sighed. "I am not sure yet but my son will be telling me in two days' time…"

Megure-keibu raised an eyebrow. "Why do you not ask him now?"

"I cannot trace his phone since he has thrown it away and now is using an untraceable phone. Also, your two subordinates seem to be in the know with him."

Megure-keibu was surprised. "Sato-kun and Takagi-kun…?"

I nod. "Yes. Anyway, I will get my answers in two days' time."

~ Normal Point of View ~

The next day, it was announced on news that Agasa Hiroshi had died in the public news because of bombs planted around his house and that his funeral will be held tomorrow.

When Ayumi, Genta and Mitsuhiko heard about this, they cried and Sumiko agreed to take them to the funeral in place of their parents because their parents were busy with work. Sonoko was saddened by this and told Makoto about this while Masumi told her mother, Mary about this of wanting to go to the funeral. Eri was in a sour mode and Shizuka took this advantage to go to Tokyo. Kogoro was asked by Ran to go and Shinichi's parents immediately flew back to Japan. Midori decided to go to Agasa-hakase's funeral with Juzo as well.

When this was heard, Eri dragged Kogoro thee while Shizuka will have her son as an escort to the funeral while Shinichi's parents will go themselves and meet up with Juzo at the funeral.

~ Beika Cemetery ~

Everyone who knew Agasa-hakase were gathered in the cemetery and the funeral was held for him.

Somewhere above them all, a spirit was floating and was watching worryingly. "Shinichi…"

(1) Matsumoto Kiyonaga is a superintendent of Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and Megure Juzo's superior, often giving him specific instructions on very dangerous cases. Sometimes, Juzo puts his plan through to Kiyonaga first, and then sees what he has to say about it. Kiyonaga got the scar over his left eye from him chasing a serial killer years ago. This character is from the manga/anime Detective Conan.
