Last time on Deity: Lilly and Remy get into a fight with some guards and then the guards get dragged away by the commander.
Chapter 12: Experiements
Lilly had fallen asleep almost immediately. After a few hours a few doctors came in and took her away. The others woke up. All was quiet for a short while. Then Xavier broke the silence.
"It's almost time to go, make sure you prepare yourselves," Xavier said. He was the only one not wearing one of the metallic chokers everyone else had on.
"Wha's goin' on Prof?" Remy questioned.
"They have been performing some experiments on Lilly. Apparently her mutant ability lies in her DNA. If her DNA, for instance, if her blood mixes with anyone elses, then she takes their mutant abilities. Now, I don't know if she was born with the powers of earth, air, fire, and water, or if she obtained them from elsewhere, but what I do know, is that they have taken a sample of each of our DNA and are working on placing it in her as we speak," Xavier responded.
"Well I only see you and Remy. Who else is here?" Logan questioned.
"There is you Logan, Remy, myself. There is also Wanda and Rogue."
"But why are they doin' this Professer?" Rogue asked.
"It's confusing actually. I'm getting two different reasons. One is to create her into a super weapon, but the other…" Xavier started.
That's when they heard Lilly scream a scream that sent chills through all their bones.
Lilly woke up as she was rolled into a room full of computers and wires. In the center of the room there was a large square thing that resembled a tub of sorts. It had a strange liquid in it. They unbound Lilly and placed her in the water. It was freezing cold, and made her shiver when she was put into it. She let out a very loud scream, afraid of the things that were about to happen. A breathing apparatus was placed over her mouth and when she breathed in she began to feel very tired. The more she breathed in, the sleepier she got until she finally just passed out.
The doctors hooked her up to many different needles and wires. The boss stood a little ways back, watching as the doctors hooked up various machines, and prepped Lilly for the experiments they were about to do. Once all preparations were completed, one of the doctors grabbed a needle with liquid in it from the table. They put it into a machine that began to make quite a bit of noise. After a couple of minutes, the liquid that was in the machine went to the tubes connected to Lilly and the liquid was pumped into her body.
The doctors kept a close eye on her vitals as they pumped the first two DNA strands into her body. Even though she was unconscious, each time her body thrashed wildly as it took on the new mutant abilities and DNA strands.
"Which two have you already done?" the boss asked.
"Logan's and Wanda's strands. Next is Xavier's," one of the doctors answered. "But I suggest we stop for the time being. Her vitals have fluctuated after that last one. If we continue this right now, we could lose her."
"No, I want you to keep going. After we get these four in we can let her rest as we collect more mutants," the boss said.
