Last time on Deity: Skye leaves. Shadow makes an appearance and Lilly wakes up in New York. What happened to Agatha and Hidashi?

Chapter 18- My friend

The first day that Lilly woke up, the others tried to visit her, but Xavier quickly put an end to that.

"She will come out in her own time. She's been through a lot. For now, just let her be," Xavier said.

"Like, the Professor's right you know. If it was me, I'd spend like, forever in there," Kitty said.

"You? Ah don't think ya could handle no socializin' for even a day," Rogue teased. Kitty stuck her tongue out.

"Don't worry Professor. We'll give her space. I can sense the turmoil in her though, are you sure she'll be okay?" Jean asked.

"I do. She is an X-man after all, and you're all made of some strong stuff. Besides, I have a plan," Xavier stated.

"What are you scheming Chuck?" Logan asked.

"Just going to bring in an old friend," Xavier answered.

Four more days passed, and only Xavier went to visit Lilly, working on her powers with her, trying to get her powers under control. On the fourth day, when Xavier rolled in, she looked extremely exhausted, with dark circles under her eyes.

"No sleep last night either?" Xavier asked Lilly, who was sitting in the corner of her darkened room.

"I'm sorry Professor. I tried, but there were so many images in my head."

"Are you sure you don't want me to erase those bad memories?" Xavier questioned.

"I appreciate the offer, but I don't want to forget anything ever again," Lilly replied.

"I understand. Shall we begin?"

"Yes please," Lilly said. They practiced for three days, with little improvement. Xavier considered it good that they made progress. Lilly, however, wasn't so sure, and very impatient. Xavier left the room, and Lilly continued to sit in her corner. She knew it was getting late because the sun had started to set. Lilly sat with her knees bent, arms folder over the tops of her knees, and her head bent down in her arms.

After awhile she heard the door open and footsteps enter. She figured that if she just ignored the person coming over to her, then they would go away. Instead, the person waited for a bit and finally kneeled down and put their hand on her arm. She peeked at the person and was met by very familiar eyes. At first she was stunned. Then her thoughts all caught up with her. It was him. They boy who saved her, who cared about her, one of her best friends. The boy she just found out about, who she came to realize had been her first love.

"Hidashi?" Lilly asked. Now it was his turn to be shocked.

"You remember me?" he asked.

"Only for a few days. Professor Xavier helped me find my memories," Lilly explained.

"So that's why he knew to find me. It's good to see you again Lilly. I've missed you so much. Oh, and happy birthday," Hidashi said, holding out a wrapped box for her.

"Birthday?"

"Yeah, I know you probably don't remember, but two days ago was your birthday. I've kept this since the first birthday after I lost you, always hoping I could give it to you," Hidashi said. She looked at the gift and then him. She leapt into his arms, crying. Hidashi placed the gift on the floor and sat on the floor against the bed, holding Lilly close to him. They stayed like that for a long time until she finally cried herself to sleep. Hidashi carefully picked her up and tucked her into bed, placing the gift he had for her on her nightstand and leaving the room.
