CHAPTER 4:

~*MEILIN'S P.O.V*~

The wagon ride back was long. With no work to busy herself with, she just couldn't stop thinking about him.

Lishay had disappeared around 2 a.m., but Abeke said she'd seen her at around 3:30. She had probably caught an early wagon back to Greenhaven.

No, She thought, you should be worrying about Lishay and Tarik, and whether or not they are still alive. Rollan is safe, he is back at Greenhaven, in the hospital ward, Lishay and Tarik, on the other hand, are lost. It is them you should be worrying about and searching for, not Rollan…

Wait, what? Why are you even worried about him in the first place?! He's always annoying you when he's not dying!

But the look on his face… The way he looked at you when Gerathon possessed you… There is no way he could have faked that pain… Could he?

Lishay and Tarik! You need to find them! Focus!

She stood, stepping carefully through the crowd until she finally reached the edge and vaulted over the side of the wagon, running straight to the medical ward.

They had arrived, and she knew she had to find them.
