Bella POV

For the past two weeks, Edward has been nothing but a sweetheart to me. Sometimes he would lose his temper with me but quickly apologized afterward. I thought it was pretty cute. My body felt better so today was the day I'm telling Edward that I'm going back to my apartment.

I got up out the bed and walked into the kitchen. Edward's kitchen was absolutely gorgeous and I just couldn't wait to cook a meal in here. Edward wasn't here this morning. I didn't know where he was. He always leaves at night but arrives in the afternoon.

He usually has his maids tend to my every need. I'm not a needy person trust me. I kind of miss Edward sometimes and it feels really strange. I just don't know why I feel this way and we still barely know each other. We only know the basics.

I was making me some pancakes and eggs when I heard the front door open. I felt my heart stop thinking that anyone but Edward came into that penthouse. I went into the draw near me and grabbed a knife.

I snuck out of the kitchen and hid behind the couch in the living room. I heard footsteps nearing me. I took a deep breath and leaped out. I felt a hand grab my wrist and the other push me away. I looked to see Emmett here.

"Oh it's you. I thought some random person walked in." I let out a nervous laugh but that seemed to add on the Emmett's anger.

"You stupid little bitch. Just to think I could hurt you for that little stunt you pulled. And what are you doing here anyway?" Emmett glared at me. I was frightened. I couldn't even make words come out of my mouth.

"She's here because she's here Emmett so mind your own fucking business." I looked behind Emmett to see a pissed off Edward. Emmett looked like he was about to shit himself.

"Uh um, hey boss, um I came to inform you that uh Carlisle would like a word with you with the family sir." Edward narrowed his eyes at Emmett and pursed his lips. He looked pretty adorable.

"Tell him that I would be there in an hour. Tell any of them of this, you are a dead man and I mean it." Edward nodded his head toward the door indicating that he want Emmett out of here.

Emmett quickly walked out looking somewhat relieved. That is when I smelled smoke coming from the kitchen. I quickly ran into the kitchen with Edward right behind me. The smoke alarm was going off and it was pretty loud.

I turned off the stove and put all my materials in the sink turning the water on. I heard chuckling behind me and turned to see Edward chuckling to himself. I looked at him in disbelief.

"Edward, this isn't a laughing matter. I almost burned your place to the ground and all you're going to do is laugh. That is just nonsense I swear." Edward smirked at me and walked towards me.

"You know Bella, I am actually happy that you are comfortable enough around here to cook in the kitchen. It is kind of enlightening." He walked away into the living room laughing.

I didn't understand what he meant by that. I decided to start cleaning up the dishes. Before I could even do anything Edward walked back in with a stern look on his face.

"Bella the work is for the maids not for you. Now come on and watch a movie with me. I'm awfully bored." Edward leaned up against the wall looking at me. I could get so lost in his eyes but I tried to not let him notice.

"I thought you had to meet your father and your family soon." By the look on Edward's face I could tell he had forgotten. I heard him mutter under his breathe but couldn't make out actual sentences.

"You got a point. Do you think you're capable of staying here by yourself?" He was actually making fun of me. I opened my mouth to say something but then Edward's phone rang.

"Hello." I didn't want to look rude at eavesdropping on his conversation so I turned around doing the dishes anyway.

"Senti, Alice voglio che fare con Rosalie va bene. Non mi interessa per il suo atteggiamento. Poteva morire il giorno dopo e non mi importa, non un bit. Sarei felicissimo in realtà." (Listen, Alice I want you to deal with Rosalie okay. I don't really care for her attitude. She could die the next day and I wouldn't care not one bit. I would be overjoyed actually.)

I didn't understand a word he was saying. It seemed like he was speaking italian but I couldn't be to sure.

"Io ci sarò presto semplicemente stallo per me e prometto vorrei comprare che nuova borsa gucci amavi così tanto, ma Jasper non vorrei farti." (I will be there soon just stall them for me and I promise I would buy you that new gucci bag you loved so much but Jasper wouldn't get you.)

"Va bene Alice, io ci sarò più avanti bene. Sto parlando in italiano perché qualcuno è nella stanza che non dovrebbe essere sentito questa conversazione." (Alright Alice, I'll be there later alright. I am talking in Italian because someone is in the room that shouldn't be hearing this conversation.)

Edward would was still talking on the phone as he walked out the room and into his 'office.' I guess whoever was on the phone was really important. I cleaned out all of the dishes and put them safely in their rack. I didn't like using the dishwasher so I hand washed them.

I walked into the living room and sat down. I just needed a time to think. I was going to tell Edward that I was leaving and he would just have to deal with it. I mean it's not like we're a couple or anything so he didn't have any claim over me.

All too soon Edward walked back into the room and sat down next to me. I felt his arm wrap around my shoulder. My breathing seemed to have stopped when I realized how close he was. I felt his lips on my neck and I couldn't stop the moan that escaped through my lips.

I felt traveling hands and I knew I needed to stop. I got up off the couch and faced a shocked Edward.

"Listen Edward, I can't stay here forever you know. I feel fine and I want to go back to my apartment. Living with you was fun and all but I just don't want to stay for good. I mean it's not like we're a couple." I knew I hurt his feelings but I knew that our relationship would never work so it wasn't meant to be.

"Alright then." Edward face was clear of emotion. I started to feel bad for hurting him but I knew that I would never fit in with his life style.

When I walked to the door I felt Edward following me. I had to stop him.

"Edward I'm going to take the bus back to my place so you don't have to drive me." Before Edward could protest I was already walking towards the elevator. It opened immediately and I walked in.

I heard Edward shouting for me to wait but I just couldn't deal with him right now. I knew I couldn't face him so I just let the elevator doors close. I felt the tears swimming in my eyes but I refused to let them fall.

I shouldn't over some random guy that I hardly knew. That's just foolish. I heard the elevator doors open and stepped out into the main lobby. As I walked outside I realized that I didn't have no coat or jacket on.

I was in one of Edward's shirts and leggings. I had on black slippers. I noticed that I didn't have any money on me. I quickly walked down the street obviously having no clue where I was going. As soon as I saw a laundry mat I couldn't help but feel relieved.

I walked into the laundry mat and sat on one of the benches. The warmth in here felt amazing against my cold skin. I looked around hoping to get some help. That is when I saw Angela walk in, I couldn't be happier in my life.

"Ang, I was hoping you could drive me to my apartment." I rushed out quickly.

"Bella where the hell have you been? You left me alone to deal with the two bitches of the wicked west. I swear Bella you better have a good explanation." She had no idea.

Once she finished doing her laundry she walked us out to her white Honda civic. It was a little bit beat up but was still looking nice as always. Angela put her laundry in her backseat and we got in and drove off.

"Alright spill." I wasn't surprised at her bluntness.

"Listen I got beat up on my way to my place and I was driven to the hospital by a random bystander. I had to stay there for a couple of days because my injuries were pretty serious. That's what happened." I spoke in one breathe. I told some of the truth but not all.

"Okay then, I guess that's a good enough reason." I could tell she didn't believe me but luckily she wasn't the kind of person who kept pushing for information. We've driving down the highway for 20 minutes. I didn't realize Edward lived so far.

That is when from my side view mirror I saw a silver Volvo following us. I started to panic when I saw that in the driver's seat was Edward. He looked upset and frustrated. I looked toward Angela to see that she didn't notice him yet.

Before I knew she turned off the exit and we were headed down an awfully familiar street. We passed Twilight and continued down the street. Angela pulled into the parking lot and I got out before the car even stopped.

I waved bye to Angela and ran into the apartment building. I ran up the stairs seeing as though that was easier. I got to my floor in no time and walked over to my door. That is when I noticed I didn't have my key on me.

"FUCK!" I shouted in frustration. I heard the elevator ding and quickly looked under the mat and saw the spare key.

I opened the door in a hurry. I closed it and locked it. I waited and waited but nothing happened. It was silent.

I opened the door and looked out. There was no one in the hallway. I let out the breath I was holding. I walked into my living room and laid down on my couch. There was dark clouds outside that perfectly described my attitude.

I was in some deep shit and there was nothing I could do to stop it.
