Nothing could bring Gibbs down now. Tony was finally awake and Doctor Pitt had said that if he got through the night OK. He could be released as early as the next morning. Tony had woken up the first time around one for about forty-five minutes. He woke up again at three-thirty but this time only for ten minutes. Both Doctor Carson and Pitt assured Gibbs that it was normal and the fact that Tony was able to communicate when he woke the first time was a good sign. It also helped that he hadn't required the ventilator again. Just a couple of puffs from the oxygen tank after he woke up the second time. Gibbs had spoken with Abby not long after the first time Tony woke up. She had assured him that Sadie was doing well and that she would bring her by first thing in the morning if Tony ended up not being able to be released the next day after all. Tony had asked about Sadie again the second time he woke up and Gibbs had promised him that she would be by the next day. Fearing that Tony would come to again and freak out if he wasn't in the room. Gibbs ended up not going for lunch. Until he was forced by a nurse at four-thirty. He had a quick-lunch and polished off two cups of coffee than headed back up to his boy's room. Tony had turned his head slightly but seemingly had awakened again in his absence. Much more hopeful than last time Gibbs took his usual seat. This time all it took was the contact from his bosses hand to rouse Tony from his sleep.

"Morning Boss." Tony greeted.

"Not quite morning son. It's five in the afternoon." Gibbs explained.

"How long was I out for this time?" Tony asked.

"Just a couple of hours." Gibbs replied.

"Where's Sadie?" Tony asked.

"She is with Abby but you will see her tomorrow." Gibbs replied.

"I want to see her." Tony whimpered.

"Is it that important to you son?" Gibbs asked.

"Yes" Tony replied voice cracking.

"OK I will call Abby and see if she can bring her by real quick before dinner." Gibbs replied.

"Thanks dad." Tony replied.

Before calling Abby, Gibbs got Sadie's visit cleared with the nurses. For Tony's sake he hoped that Abby would be able to bring Sadie by real quick. He knew that it was almost dinner time and that Abby and Sadie were both exhausted from the experiences of the past couple of days but this would just be a short visit. Tony was only able to stay awake for limited periods of time anyway. He may not even be awake anymore. By the time they arrived anyway. When Gibbs got back to his son's room. Tony was still awake and Dr. Carson was giving him an evaluation.

"Alright what is your full name?" Dr. Carson asked.

"Antony Dominic DiNozzo Junior" Gibbs replied.

"Very good, what is today's date?" Dr. Carson asked.

"August twenty-eighth two thousand and fourteen." Tony replied.

"Excellent, now how old are you?"Dr. Carson asked.

"Forty one" Tony replied.

"Perfect, what is your daughter's full name?" Dr. Carson questioned.

"Sadie Christina DiNozzo" Tony replied.

"Awesome, one last question. Who is the current president of the United State?" Dr. Carson asked.

"Well they technically never say so that it is still relevant when the episode airs again, twenty years from now." Tony joked.

"Excuse me?" Dr. questioned.

"Now is not the time Tony!" Gibbs hissed.

"OK I get it! It's Barrack Obama." Tony sighed annoyed that nobody else found his joke funny.

"That's better, you had me a little concerned for a moment there." Dr. Carson replied.

"Yeah Tony will do that to you." Gibbs replied, recalling the first time Tony got a concussion on his watch and tried to convince Gibbs that he was in fact Frank Sinatra.

"Well you answered every question perfectly and without having to think too much. You also seem to have your wit. So I am proud to say you are fine and as long as you get through tonight without any incident. You will be heading home tomorrow." Dr. Carson explained.

"Yes" Tony cheered.

"Thank God, I have missed having my boy around." Gibbs replied.

"Well as much as I would like to get to know him. I agree that he will do much better if he is at home with you and Sadie." Dr. Carson replied as he exited the room.

"Were you able to get a hold of Abby?" Tony asked once Dr. Carson had left.

"Yeah" Gibbs replied.

"Is she bringing Sadie by?" Tony questioned.

"Yes but it is going to be a very short visit." Gibbs replied.

"That's cool as long as I get to see her." Tony replied.

Tony hadn't been cleared to drink coffee again yet. So it was up to Gibbs to keep Tony awake by talking to him. Until Abby finally arrived with Sadie another half hour later.

"Knock, Knock" Abby called from the doorway.

"Hi Abbs, Hello Sadie." Gibbs greeted.

"Hi Abby, hi baby girl." Tony added.

"Daddy! Grandpa Gibbs!" Sadie squealed.

"See Sadie, your daddy is awake and ready to see you." Gibbs explained as he took Sadie from Abby's arms and carried her over to Tony's bed.

"Yeah!" Sadie cried.

"Hi baby girl I missed you." Tony said taking his daughter from Gibbs's arms.

"Me too, daddy." Sadie replied, snuggling up close to Tony's chest.

"Abby how about we step outside and let them have a moment alone?" Gibbs suggested.

"Good idea." Abby replied.

Ever since she had been put back in her room. Jimmy was terrified to leave Breena. It seemed like every time he left her lately. Something terrible would happen to her. He was sure that she would die if he left her again. Plus he wanted to be sure to be around when she got the results of her biopsy back. He kept repeating the doctors words. That even if it was cancer they had caught it early and she had an excellent chance of survival and the chances of recurrence were next to nothing at this stage. Still he had that terrible thought in the back of his mind. It didn't help that Breena looked terrible. She had almost no color to her skin but her eyes were red. Without even touching her he knew that she was running a fever. When he did set his hand on her forehead her drew it back right away. She was almost too hot to touch. As if on cue Dr. Wilson walked in the room.

"I have excellent news Mrs. Palmer, the tumor was benign." Dr. Wilson said.

"That's great." Jimmy sighed.

"You're wife is cancer free isn't that the best news?" Dr. Wilson questioned.

"That is good but Breena is burning up now." Jimmy sighed.

"Let me check her out." Dr. Wilson replied.

"Thanks" Jimmy mumbled.

"Oh no" Dr. Wilson sighed upon finishing checking Breena out.

"What is it?" Jimmy asked.

"Her fever is one hundred and five. I am going to need a blood test and some cultures from both of her recent surgical sites but my fear is that she has an infection." Dr. Wilson replied.

"What caused it?" Jimmy asked.

"Well I am going to want a couple of scans to rule out a left behind surgical tool but my best guess is that. This is a result of all the trauma and stress to her body the past few days." Dr. Wilson explained.

"W...Will she be OK?" Jimmy questioned nervously.

"I cannot answer that right now." Dr. Wilson replied.

A/N: Poor Breena can't catch a break. At least Tony and Sadie got to see each other and Tony will be home soon. Ziva will be in either the next chapter or the one after that.
