Tony looked into Ziva's chocolate-brown eyes. He forgot how much he loved those eyes. He forgot how much he loved her. He remembered after she left telling himself that he was just building her up in his head. That it was impossible for anybody to be that perfect. That he needed to move on. True he did have a new lady in his life now but he could have both of them. In fact having both of them under one roof would only make everybody involved lives better. He also realized that Ziva really was as perfect as he had remembered. He couldn't believe he hadn't made her come back with him and made her his bride. Instead of just letting her stay in Israel. He would have risked everything to go out, find, and kill Parsa before he could do anymore damage. Before he could put Probie's girlfriend in a wheelchair. In a way all the damage Parsa had done was his fault. If he had gone with his instincts Ziva and him and McGee and Delilah would be happy and healthy right now. He was a destroyer of relationships and lives.
"Tony are you OK?" Ziva asked.
"Yeah just thinking." Tony replied.
"About what?" Ziva asked.
"How I made a big mistake letting you go." Tony replied leaning in and kissing her on the lips.
"I made a mistake leaving you." Ziva agreed.
"We are back together now." Tony replied.
"I know and you have Sadie and I have baby growing inside me. Who will make our family even better. No matter who the father is." Ziva said.
"I know I can't wait to hold it." Tony replied.
"If you don't mind if this is your baby. I want to wait until the second trimester to tell anybody. I told everybody when I was pregnant with Adam's baby and it broke my heart to have to tell them that I had lost it." Ziva explained.
"I don't mind but there is one person we kind of have to tell right away. Because he will just figure it out on his own anyway if we don't." Tony explained.
"Who's that?" Ziva asked even though she was pretty sure she already knew the answer.
"Well he is down in the basement sipping bourbon and building something amazing out of wood. Using nothing but old-fashioned hand tools." Tony explained.
"McGee?" Ziva guessed.
"No! Not Probie! Gibbs!" Tony cried slapping Ziva's ponytail.
"Oh right Gibbs. Do you think that he will be mad?" Ziva asked.
"Only one way to find out." Tony replied.
"Will you back me up?" Ziva asked.
"Always and forever" Tony vowed.
"Well here goes nothing." Ziva replied pulling herself off of the bed.
Tony couldn't believe that he was going to have a baby. He didn't care if the baby was genetically Adam's he was going to raise it like it was his own. Adam didn't deserve that kid if he was going to cheat of Ziva and abandon her when she was pregnant. If the baby was his the only difference would be that they were related by blood. Even if he didn't want to. He didn't really have any choice but to be involved in this child's life. If Ziva was willing to accept and love Sadie even if she wasn't his. He had to do the same thing for the child she may share with Adam. Ziva and him walked down to the basement. He went down the steps ahead of her so if she tripped he could catch her.
"Tony? Ziva? Everything OK up there?" Gibbs asked.
"Everything is fine. We just need to talk to you." Ziva replied.
"Oh uh well I can take Sadie to the diner. What's the code now days? When I was in the Marines it was a black sock and according to Leon the Navy guys would use their hats." Gibbs explained.
"Well thanks for the offer and it is still a black sock." Tony replied.
"In Israel we propped our guns against the door or we would put our field knives into our socks. That way people took us seriously." Ziva explained.
"That's terrifying but no we don't need privacy." Tony replied.
"There is something we need to tell you." Ziva added.
"What's going on?" Gibbs asked.
"I can't be an agent on your team at least not now." Ziva started.
"Please don't be sick Ziver." Gibbs begged.
"I am not sick I am pregnant." Ziva replied.
"Already? You kids are good!" Gibbs gasped.
"Well thanks for the compliment but no I was pregnant when I came here." Ziva explained.
"Who's the father?" Gibbs asked.
"I don't know either Adam or Tony. I was pregnant by Adam but I miscarried I could have been carrying twins though. If it is Adam's I am six almost seven months." Ziva explained.
"How far along are you if it is Tony's?" Gibbs asked.
"Remember three months ago when I went to Israel to save Agent Hoffman?" Tony asked.
"Yeah" Gibbs breathed, Agent Hoffman had been shot right in front of Tony by the Israeli gang who had taken him. Tony was so close Hoffman's brains had sprayed all over him. Tony never talked about it. He had barely passed the psych eval he was forced to take before being cleared to return to the field.
"Well the night after it happened. While I was waiting for the fight back to the US. I went into this bar in Tel Aviv and I happened to run into Ziva. I went back to her place and we made love. I hate that I was so drunk that I forgot about it." Tony explained.
"You had a horrific experience that day an experience that every agent dreads. I will not call what happened between you and Ziver was a mistake because it resulted in something beautiful. If the child is not yours. Then what you two are building now is beautiful." Gibbs explained.
"So you are not mad?" Ziva asked.
"I could never be mad about a baby that is going to be raised by two amazing people and have a wonderful big sister." Gibbs replied fighting back his tears of joy.
"We have one more thing we need to ask." Ziva replied.
"Anything" Gibbs replied.
"Will you be the baby's grandfather?" Ziva asked.
"I am doing it for Sadie aren't I?" Gibbs asked.
"Yes you are." Tony replied.
"Here I have something for you." Gibbs replied picking something off of his work table.
"What is it?" Ziva asked.
"Here you go." Gibbs replied placing the object into Tony's hands.
"You already gave me a key when I moved in and you only lock up when you are going to be working late." Tony explained.
"I am not just giving you a key. I am giving you this place." Gibbs replied.
"No Boss you can't. That is far too generous. I mean this is the house you shared with Shannon and Kelly. I have saved up. We can find our own place." Tony argued.
"Tony this house needs a family. Something I cannot give it. I have been thinking of getting a smaller place for a while anyway." Gibbs replied.
"Thank you Gibbs it means a lot." Ziva replied.
"Yeah Boss I mean wow. A free house." Tony replied.
"It does come with some rules though." Gibbs replied.
"What?" Ziva asked.
"First of all you have to promise that you will keep it maintained. I don't want to see it fall into a state of disrepair." Gibbs started.
"Of course" Tony replied.
"Secondly I can help you with this but I want you to update the place so that Delilah can get around easier. I would have to make the first floor bathroom handicap accessible before I could sell the place anyway." Gibbs explained.
"We can do that." Ziva replied.
"Third and most importantly make this place a home. Full of love with a happy family. Raise your kids to be as amazing as you are and cherish every moment you have together because you never know when it can be taken away from you." Gibbs explained before embracing Tony and Ziva.
"We promise" Ziva replied.
"We will fill this place with love and there will always room for Grandpa Gibbs." Tony vowed pulling the group into a tighter hug. All three were crying tears of joy.
