Waking up next to Ziva the next morning was amazing. When he first woke up he was sure it had all been a dream. Ziva being back just seemed to perfect to be true. When he felt her warm body beside him, her black hair was freely flowing on the pillow. It was shorter than it was when she left but still amazing. He ran his finger over the scar on her back the one that was cut in half by the spaghetti strap on her pajama top. He was still mentally kicking himself for letting that happen to her. He should have gone back. Gibbs wanted to go back, he wanted to go back but she didn't want them to com back. So they left her. She got on that ship and he thought she was dead for way too long. She was scarred mentally and physically because of him. She deserved better than him. He was too broken for somebody as perfect as Ziva. A single tear fell from his cheek and landed on Ziva's shoulder.

"What? Where am I?" Ziva asked.

"In my bed at Gibbs' house." Tony replied.

"Oh well it is nice waking up beside you." Ziva replied.

"It is nice waking up beside you too." Tony replied.

"Oh yeah I am seeing the doctor today at four. What else do you want to do today?" Ziva asked.

"Actually I am going to work." Tony replied.

"Already?" Ziva asked.

"I can't go in the field yet but I can do desk work." Tony explained.

"Do you think Vance will let me do desk duty too? I am going to need extra money before the baby comes." Ziva asked.

"He shouldn't have a problem with it." Tony replied.

Tony and Ziva talked until they heard Sadie waking up in the next room. Tony got out of bed and walked next door to check on his little girl. Once he had her in a fresh diaper and changed into a pair of pink jeans and a blue and white stripped shirt with a sailboat on it. Tony looked at the half empty package of diapers in the corner. Sadie was almost three now. He really needed to start her on potty training. He was going to and then he got sick and everything went down hill. Things were heading back to normal now. So he didn't have any excuse. After Ziva's appointment he would make a stop and the baby store and buy potty training supplies. Tony picked his daughter up and carried her down the stairs. Once they were in Gibbs' living room, Tony set Sadie on the ground and let her walk on her own. Sadie made a beeline for the kitchen where Gibbs was preparing breakfast. When she got to the doorways she stopped dead in her tracks.

"Daddy who's that?" Sadie asked pointing to Ziva.

"Sadie this is Ziva. She is my friend. Ziva this is my daughter Sadie." Tony introduced as he picked up Sadie and carried her over to Ziva.

"Hi Ziva why are you here?" Sadie asked.

"I am going to be staying with you guys." Ziva replied.

"Why?" Sadie asked.

"Because she is my girlfriend." Tony replied.

"Is she my new mommy?" Sadie asked.

"She may be." Tony replied.

"Did you put her up to that?" Ziva asked.

"No I did not." Tony replied.

"May I hold her Tony?" Ziva asked.

"Of course." Tony replied placing Sadie into Ziva's lap.

"Hi Ziva" Sadie greeted.

"Hi Sadie you are very smart for two." Ziva replied.

"Thank you." Sadie replied.

"Is Tony a good daddy?" Ziva asked.

"Yeah he is the best." Sadie replied.

"That is good to hear." Ziva replied.

"I love you Ziva." Sadie said.

"Aw I love you too." Ziva replied.

Jimmy woke up in the waiting room of the hospital. Things were not as peaceful for him as they were for Tony and Ziva. An alarm was screaming in the background. He wondered if he still had a wife. Breena had been really bad off when he went to sleep the night before. They would have woken him up and told him if she had died during the night. Then he would just sit there heartbroken and lost. At least he though that's how it happen. Jimmy was surprised to see Dr. Mallard walking into the room stirring a cup of tea. Jimmy had no idea where his boss got hot tea in a hospital. Even more confusing what was he doing there? Hadn't he gone home last night.

"Good morning Mr. Palmer. I am glad you got some sleep." Ducky said.

"Good morning Dr. Mallard." Jimmy replied.

"Have you heard any news on Breena?" Ducky asked.

"No but I heard an alarm a minute ago. I think that may have been her." Jimmy replied.

"I am surprised you didn't sleep in the room with her last night." Ducky replied.

"I don't think I can be in there when it happens." Jimmy replied.

"Understandable" Ducky replied.

"James Palmer? A doctor called.

"That's me." Jimmy replied.

"Breena has been having seizures all night. She coded at eight fifteen. It took us ten minutes to get her back." The doctor explained.

"Can I see her?" Jimmy asked nervously.

"Of course. I understand you already said your goodbyes." The doctor replied.

"Yes sir" Jimmy replied blinking back tears.

Tony and Ziva got off work at three fifteen to make Ziva's appointment at four. Gibbs had called around the night before and gotten the number of a OBG/YN who worked out of Bethesda. Another doctor took the shifts on weekends for emergencies and she had called Dr. Wilk and arranged for the appointment at four. Tony felt relieved and a little confused to be going to Bethesda for a positive reason. At least he hoped it was positive. When they first arrived. Ziva went back alone to fill out some forms and have a urine test done. A few minutes later she came back for Tony and the two of the followed the doctor back for the exam.

"Alright Mrs. DiNozzo, I understand you aren't sure how far along you are or who the father is? If you want we can run a prenatal DNA test. Now there are risks including miscarriage and we cannot do it until you are four months." Dr. Wilk asked.

"No thank you I will know who the father is by how far along I am." Ziva replied.

"If miscarriage is a risk it isn't worth it anyway." Tony added.

"Alright well let's check things out." Dr. Wilk replied.

"I hope everything is OK." Ziva said as Dr. Wilk rubbed the jelly on her stomach.

"I am sure everything is fine." Tony assured.

"Well let's take a look. Alright you are measuring about three months." Dr. Wilk replied.

"So I am the father?" Tony asked.

"I suppose so." Dr. Wilk replied.

"Is everything OK?" Ziva asked.

"Everything seems fine. As you can see your baby is starting to look like a baby. I understand you only just found out you were expecting. Have you drank or smoked over the course of the past three months?" Dr. Wilk asked.

"Smoking no but I did drink a little." Ziva admitted.

"How much?" Dr. Wilk asked.

"I had a glass of wine with dinner most nights." Ziva replied.

"Well that shouldn't have done severe damage but any alcohol could be dangerous to a fetus. I do not want you to drink anymore the rest of the pregnancy." Dr. Wilk replied.

"That is fine I didn't drink during my previous pregnancy that resulted in a miscarriage." Ziva replied.

"Excellent well I will see you back here in four weeks." Dr. Wilk replied.

"Will I get to know the sex by then?" Ziva asked.

"We should be able to tell." Dr. Wilk replied.

Jimmy was alone in Breena's room. She had been intubated since ten that morning. After she crashed the second time. Her heart had stopped five times since eight that morning and it was only four-thirty in the afternoon. Each time he wondered why he didn't just let her go. The last time she crashed it took fifteen minutes to revive her. When they finally got her back the doctor noticed that her face was drooped. So they had rushed her back for tests. That was a while ago. She should be back by now. Finally the door opened and Breena was wheeled back in the room. Having yet another massive seizure.

"How is she?" Jimmy asked.

"I am sorry James but Breena suffered a massive stroke. The right side of her brain is dead. If she does wake up she will be severely disabled." The doctor explained.

"No" Jimmy replied.

"Doctor we're losing her again!" The nurse called/

*Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!*

"Get a crash cart in here!" The doctor called.

"No just let her go. If she won't be the same. Just let her go." Jimmy sobbed.

"If your sure that's what you want." The doctor replied.

"Yes she is going to die anyway. Just let her go." Jimmy replied.

"Alright time of death four forty-six PM." The doctor called.
