After Ziva's appointment she and Tony picked up Sadie from daycare. Their last stop was at the baby store to pick out potty training supplies. They got her a potty, pack of pull-ups and let her pick out the underwear she liked. He remembered hearing that if kids had underwear they liked they were less likely to have accidents. He also picked out some cleaning supplies that Ziva could be around while pregnant that wouldn't make her sick of put the baby at risk. Since accidents did happen especially in the first weeks of potty training.

"Do you think she will take to potty training easily?" Tony asked as they pulled out of the parking lot.

"I am sure she will. She is a pretty smart kid." Ziva replied.

"Thanks I wish I could take credit for that." Tony replied.

"Stop that Tony! You are smart and you know it. Gibbs would not keep you around if you were not. He makes it clear that he only hires the best." Ziva explained.

"Except I wasn't in her life until a couple of months ago." Tony replied.

"Yes but she has your DNA." Ziva replied.

The last stop on the way home was to get ice-cream for Ziva. She had been craving a Oreo Blizzard all day and Tony couldn't help but treat her to one. She was just so cute when she ate them. Since she never out-grew eating them just a little too fast and crinkled her nose in the cutest way. Plus she was giving him the most beautiful gift imaginable. It really was the least he could do. Tony turned onto Gibbs' street, looking forward to getting home and changing into his sweats. Before settling into an evening of relaxing with his dad and girls. In an instant he knew that his evening was not going to pan out the way had hoped. As he pulled into the driveway, he noticed Gibbs rushing to the Challenger, Jack had given him. The look of dread and grief on his face told Tony that something dreadful had happened and he had a pretty good idea what had happened. He put the car in park and told Ziva to wait in the car with Sadie. He managed to catch Gibbs just as the older man was climbing into his car.

"Don't have time to chat DiNozzo! Dinner is in the over for you guys. Eat when you like. I don't think I will be home for a while." Gibbs explained.

"Where are you going?" Tony asked.

"To the hospital." Gibbs grunted.

"Why?" Tony asked even though he had known the answer all along.

"Breena died this afternoon." Gibbs replied solemnly.

"God no, Ziva and I will be over as soon as we get a sitter for Sadie." Tony replied.

"Actually Ducky said that Jimmy wasn't really up for visitors. He just called me because I know what he is going through. Leon will come over later but he has an open house at Jared and Kayla's school tonight." Gibbs explained.

"Well give my best to Jimmy and tell him how sorry I am." Tony replied.

"What is going on?" Ziva asked emerging from Tony's car.

"Come here." Tony replied signaling for Ziva to come closer to him.

"Is everything OK?" Ziva asked once she was closer to Tony.

"Breena died Ziva." Tony whispered.

"No I thought she was getting better." Ziva gasped.

"She improved slightly last night but early this morning she took a really bad turn. Her heart kept stopping and she began having seizures. She was basically in a coma most of the day but after her last episode she was briefly awake and they noticed that her face was droopy. They took her back for tests and sure enough she had a massive stroke. She coded again after they brought her back into the room but Jimmy told them to let her go. She would have been too damaged." Gibbs explained quoting what Ducky had told him.

"That's horrible!" Ziva gasped.

"God poor Breena what a horrible way to go." Tony sobbed.

"I know it isn't right. I have to go now. Just pray for Jimmy." Gibbs replied before climbing into the car and backing out of the driveway.

Tony watched Ziva play with Sadie in the backyard from the kitchen window. Sadie was racing around on her tricycle. It was the one that Gibbs had given to Amira a few Christmas's ago. Since Amira had graduated to a two-wheeler a year later and Leyla needed the storage space. They had given it to Tony for Sadie to use. Ziva had to be careful because of her pregnancy but she had kicked a soccer ball back and forth with her before she hoped on the trike. Sadie just looked so young and innocent playing in the backyard. Tony knew that he would have to tell her about Breena eventually. He just wasn't sure how to handle it. How did he tell his two-year old that the woman she called Aunt Breena was never coming back. He had hoped that he would have a few more years before he had to explain the concept of death to Sadie. He remembered his first experience with death. It was Mrs. Park the old woman who lived down the street from him. This was when DiNozzo Enterprises was just starting to really take off. Back when Tony and his family still lived in the middle class neighborhood in Brooklyn. It was just after his third birthday. In fact his ice-cream cake had melted in the backseat of his mom's car. While the old woman was loaded into the ambulance. At least this had happened before his mom got sick and started drinking all the time. He remembered being mad at first because he didn't understand death and then really sad when he found out it meant being gone forever. He was pulled from his thoughts by the buzzer on the stove signaling that dinner was ready. He turned the oven off, took the food out, and called Sadie and Ziva back inside.

"Daddy why are you crying?" Sadie asked.

"Because I am really sad." Tony replied.

"Why?" Sadie asked.

"I just got some really sad news that's all." Tony replied.

"What?" Sadie asked.

"Tony you have to tell her." Ziva whispered.

"Are you sure she can handle it?" Tony asked.

"It may not be easy but she has to know." Ziva replied.

"Bring her here." Tony sighed.

"OK now tell her." Ziva replied placing Sadie in Tony's arms.

"Sadie this may be hard to understand but your Aunt Breena well she died." Tony explained.

"What's died?" Sadie asked.

"It means that her body stopped working and she had to go to a place called heaven but she won't ever hurt or be afraid again." Ziva explained.

"Will I ever get to see her again?" Sadie asked.

"Not for a long time." Tony told her.

"What about Uncle Jimmy and all of us?" Sadie asked.

"Well Uncle Jimmy is really sad and so are Grandpa Gibbs, Ziva, and I. So it is OK if you feel that way but you don't have too." Tony explained.

"OK" Sadie replied.

"Do you understand?" Ziva asked.

"Uh-huh" Sadie replied.
