Tony never pictured himself chasing a toddler while his pregnant fiancée was on bed rest. All while working as a federal agent. Of course he never saw himself having a fiancée or children. Well he did have a fiancée with Wendy but she said she never wanted kids. Kind of funny since she got knocked up by the first man she reeled in after she left him at the altar. Maybe Fred wasn't conceived the night they were supposed to get married but Wendy did meet her now ex-husband on what was supposed to be their honeymoon. Even though it was hard and more than once over the past couple weeks he had woken up on the couch. To Gibbs standing over him with a "welcome to reality son" smile on his face. He loved his life. The only thing he would change was how tired and sick Ziva was. His vibrant ninja shouldn't be stuck in bed all the time and they should have to be in constant fear of losing their child. The tiny flicker of hope in their dark lives. That led Tony to the only thing he would change about his life. In an ideal world Sadie would be Ziva's child instead of Sherry's. He didn't understand what he had ever seen in that woman or any of the other woman he had fallen in love with. Besides Kate and Paula and he refused to group Ziva with woman who were killed in front of him. Even more than he refused to group her with the woman who had crushed his heart. Being abandoned was better than death. Plenty of step-moms and his father had abandoned him but his mother had died. At least with abandonment he could tell himself that it was them and not him. Even though the world seemed to tell him otherwise. His dark thoughts were interrupted by Sadie running into the living room and jumping into his arms.

"Daddy!" Sadie squealed.

"What is it baby girl?" Tony asked.

"Grandpa Gibbs is going to the hardware store!" Sadie cried.

"Sounds like fun are you going with him?" Tony asked.

"Yes! You wanna come to?!" Sadie asked.

"I don't know somebody needs to stay with Ziva." Tony explained.

"She's OK!" Sadie argued.

"No, Sadie remember she needs somebody to watch her in case she gets sick again?" Tony explained.

"I know!" Sadie replied.

"McGee is coming over to watch her. Ziva can talk about difficult pregnancies with Delilah." Gibbs explained.

"How?" Tony asked.

"McGee can carry Delilah upstairs but actually I am going to the hardware store to get supplies to install a stair lift. That way Ziver can be on the couch sometimes and Delilah can get upstairs when she visits." Gibbs explained.

"That's an awesome idea boss. Can I help you?" Tony asked.

"Of course you can." Gibbs replied.

"What about me?" Sadie asked.

"This is a grown-up project but you can help with the next one." Gibbs explained.

"OK!" Sadie cried.

Jimmy walked into his daughter's room. He could not believe Emma had been with him two weeks already. It felt like he had just brought her home. So far she was a pretty well-behaved child. She got scared easy and tended to have nightmares but after what she had been through Jimmy wasn't too surprised. What shocked and hurt him was when he was giving her a bath the first night she lived with him and he noticed all the scars and bruises. He was glad her parents were in jail. Because if they weren't he would deal with them himself and if they were too powerful for him. He would have called in Gibbs and Tony to help. Tony would love to kick somebody's ass after the way Sherry had treated Sadie. He wondered if Sadie had been abused but he wasn't sure how to ask Tony. He did remember Tony coming in with a black eye once around the time he would have been with Sadie's mother. When he was asked about it he claimed it was a basketball injury. Which was a stupid lie considering he worked with federal agents and Medical Examiners who could easily tell the difference between being hit in the face with a ball and being hit in the face with a fist. Of course everybody knew how fragile Tony could be and just dropped it. Jimmy knew that Ziva had beat on Tony a couple of times but at least she had realized she had a problem and was getting help. She had started seeing a psychologist in DC not long after Eli died and had continued to get help in Israel. Luckily Doctor Rachel Cranston was a good enough friend to do house calls for Ziva while she was on bed-rest. Of course Jimmy had vowed never to tell anyone that information. He suspected that Tony and Gibbs knew because they lived in the same house but he still never said a word to them. Just like he never told anybody anything that Tony had told him. When they became friends during Gibbs's sabbatical to Mexico. Jimmy walked over to the crib and picked Emma up. He was so glad that he had let Breena talk him into buying the crib that could fold out into a toddler bed and eventually a full-sized bed. Since he thought he would need a toddler bed for Emma but she was so small she could still fit in a crib easy.

"Hey baby girl. Did you have a nice nap? Are you ready for dinner?" Jimmy asked.

"Yeah!" Emma cried.

"OK well I am going to put a fresh diaper on you and then we are going to grandpa Ed's for dinner. He can't wait to meet you." Jimmy explained he was relieved when Ed had volunteered to be a part of Emma's life. Even though Breena was no longer alive. Jimmy knew it was mainly because he was mourning for his little girl and wanted somebody to cheer him up. He had wanted grand-kids so bad and was so looking forward to Angela's birth. Jimmy shook his head of the bad thoughts. He had Emma now and Breena and Angela were watching over them. So he had no need to completely break down.
