For the second time in just a few hours. Tony felt like the world was spinning out of control. Something had happened to Gibbs, his dad and best friend. The man who was going to walk Ziva down the aisle when they finally were able to get married. Most importantly though he was the grandfather to Sadie and the baby that Ziva was currently carrying. Tony just couldn't process it. At least this time he managed to keep himself vertical but his breathing still became labored. He reached into his pocket and grabbed his inhaler. He took two puffs and then set it down on the table. He tightened the grip on his phone and took several deep breaths. Until he heard McGee calling his name with concern in his voice.

"Tony? Are you OK?"

"Wha...What's wrong with Gibbs?"

"I don't know I am at the hospital with Delilah for an OB appointment and he is here in the waiting room talking to Dr. Brent."

"Yeah so? Maybe he was having chest pains or ate a bad sausage sample at the grocery store or something."

"No Tony, Dr. Brent is an oncologist. He treated my dad when he was sick."

"What hospital are you at?"

"Bethesda"

"I...I am coming over."

"No Tony I was just going through the waiting room with Delilah and we happened to pass Gibbs. I mean if he is sick. He wouldn't want us to know. Especially you with Ziva being on bed-rest and everything."

"I know but I don't want him to be alone."

"Tony, Gibbs has always been a private person especially when it comes to medical stuff. If we get involved. It could really upset him and if he is sick. He doesn't need to be stressed."

"I...I guess you're right."

"You know this is scary but Gibbs is strong. If he does have cancer, I am sure he can beat it and if he doesn't well he had a good life."

"No, he's Gibbs. He has to be OK."

"Tony, I am so sorry."

"I...I need to feed Sadie and Jimmy and Emma are over here. I am being rude."

McGee hung up on the other end and Tony let the phone fall to the ground. He heard it shattering on Gibbs's hardwood kitchen floor. Not that he cared. If Gibbs really did have cancer, nothing mattered. He had lost too many people in his life and Sadie had endured more grief and loss in her two years than most adults. She didn't deserve to lose her grandpa Gibbs and the baby didn't deserve to never get to know him or only know him when he was sick and weak. Gibbs weak, that was something Tony prayed that he would never see. Now he may be about face to it. Gibbs dying seemed impossible but he was only human. Sure he had lost a lot in his life and maybe would welcome death but cancer. That was just unfair. Leroy Jethro Gibbs should die in a blaze of glory if he had to die young.

"Tony, what's going on?" Jimmy asked.

"Where are the girls?" Tony asked.

"Still in the living room." Jimmy replied.

"Good I don't want them to hear this." Tony replied.

"Why? What's wrong?" Jimmy questioned.

"Gibbs...Gibbs may have cancer." Tony stuttered.

"Are you sure?" Jimmy asked.

"I don't know McGee saw him talking to an oncologist." Tony replied.

"Maybe he just found a lump somewhere. Ducky found a lump in a private place a few years ago and he was fine. It was just a fat deposit or something." Jimmy assured.

"I know but he probably would see Ducky or a general practitioner for that. He would only see an oncologist if the biopsy came back positive." Tony explained.

"You're right." Jimmy sighed.

"I need some air. Can you watch the girls?" Tony asked.

"Yeah of course just be safe." Jimmy replied.

"Don't worry Palmer. I will be fine." Tony assured.

"Gibbs will be fine too." Jimmy assured.

Jimmy held Emma and Sadie on his laugh. The two girls were talking back and forth to each other and smiling. He envied their innocence. He had always been jovial and on the innocent side. Of course that was before Breena died. Ever since he lost her he felt old and if he was being perfectly honest numb. If it weren't for Emma. He doubted he would have the strength to even get out of bed in the morning. It should be him who was sick and not Gibbs. Tony needed a dad and his kids needed a grandfather and that's what Gibbs was. He was just Jimmy Palmer. A lonely widower with a two-year old daughter he had adopted to help him heal. A child who was probably suffering from him. He let a single tear fall and after that the flood-gates opened. He was crying like a baby and soaking poor Emma and Sadie in his tears. How pathetic was he that he couldn't hide his pain from two innocent children? He felt a tiny hand squeeze his arm and looked down and saw Sadie wrapping him in a hug. She was definitely Tony's daughter. Always looking out for anybody who needed a little extra love.

"What's wrong, Uncle Jimmy?" Sadie asked.

"I am just missing Breena." Jimmy explained.

"I miss her too." Sadie replied.

"Everybody misses her." Jimmy replied.

Gibbs drove home at what was a slow pace for him. It had been an emotional day for him. He had gotten the call while buying juice for Sadie and Emma. He had paid for the juice and rushed out of the store and headed to Bethesda. Dr. Brent had been waiting for him and he knew that the news was not good. Sure enough he had been given the worst possible news. He would only have a short time before he had to say goodbye. He knew that he should get back to Tony, Jimmy, and the girls but he just wasn't ready. He drove to the cemetery and fell to his knees beside his girls.

"Hey girls, I have some news. I guess it's good for you two but not so good for me." Gibbs spoke.
