After his talk with Gibbs climbed up the stairs and looked in on his girls. Sadie was curled up on her race-car bed. Her doll had fallen on the floor, so Tony walked over and replaced it before she woke up without her. In their room Ziva was lying on her back, she was awake and seemed really uncomfortable. He made his way over to the bed and sat down beside her. He knew she was miserable on bed-rest. He also knew that she was scared to death that she would end up losing this baby and disappointing him. It didn't help that the best way she dealt with her emotions was exercising and sparring at the gym.

"Tony?" Ziva asked.

"What is it?" Tony asked.

"Did Gibbs ever come home?" Ziva asked.

"Yeah about twenty minutes ago." Tony replied.

"Is he OK?" Ziva asked.

"Yeah he's fine." Tony replied.

"Does he have it?" Ziva asked.

"Have what?" Tony asked.

"Cancer? Does Gibbs have cancer?" Ziva asked.

"No" Tony replied.

"Then why was he talking to the oncologist?" Ziva questioned.

"Oh an old friend of Shannon's has cancer and since she doesn't have any family left Gibbs is helping her out." Tony lied. He hated lying to Ziva but he had promised Gibbs that he wouldn't say anything to anyone until Amira knew.

"That is too bad." Ziva replied.

"Yeah it is too bad." Tony sighed.

"I am just glad it isn't Gibbs. Does that make me a horrible person?" Ziva asked.

"No it makes you human at least that's what Gibbs told me." Tony replied.

"He is wise." Ziva replied.

"He is." Tony replied.

"Don't forget I have a check-up tomorrow." Ziva replied.

"I know and I have already gotten McGeek and Delilah to watch Sadie." Tony replied.

"Do we really need both of them?" Ziva asked.

"Delilah said they needed parenting practice." Tony replied.

"How is Delilah doing?" Ziva asked.

"So far so good. She is going to have a c-section at thirty-eight weeks maybe earlier if the baby gets to big." Tony explained.

"I hope everything goes well for her." Ziva replied.

"Me too." Tony replied.

Gibbs didn't sleep at all that night. All he could think about was Leyla. He knew that it was going to be bad news but he wasn't expecting it to be this bad. He knew that she was probably dying but he didn't think it would be happening so fast. She had at best three months and that was with treatment. Whether she chose treatment or not the remainder of her life would be pretty much pure agony and she would require twenty-four seven care. He couldn't shake the image of her, when he arrived to her house the day before. She was lying on the couch in her pajamas; she was so pale and had dark circles under her eyes. It was obvious she hadn't showered, changed, or brushed her hair or teeth in days. Amira came running up to him. Asking to go to the park, because her mommy never wanted to do anything except lie around anymore. She wasn't a selfish or spoiled child. She was just too young to understand what was going on. Especially since Leyla had tried to shelter her from what was going on. Amira, how was he going to tell that sweet and innocent child that her mother had terminal cancer? Part of him wished he hadn't of made that promise to Leyla but she was too sick to tell her and there was no other family left. Except for Leyla's mom, Amira grandmother but with everything that was going on in the Middle East right now. It was doubtful she would be able to get to the country any time soon. He just hoped she would be able to come before Leyla passed. Finally around four in the morning he picked up his phone and dialed his oldest friend.

"Jethro, it is four-thirty in the morning. Do we have a body?"

"No I just need to talk to you."

"Oh dear it is never good when you receive a call this early in the morning. What is wrong?"

"I just found out an old friend has terminal cancer."

"What kind, perhaps there is an experimental treatment or trial your friend could get in."

"Brain Stem Glioma uh Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma."

"Oh dear that is a nasty one. I am afraid that even with treatment and trials the survival rate is zero. I am sorry Jethro."

"I know and she only has a few months left at best."

"It isn't anybody I would know?"

"Yes but I can't say who."

"It's not you is it? No it couldn't be you. You are too healthy."

"It isn't anybody from NCIS but you do know her. However I am not allowed to tell anybody just yet."

"I understand Jethro and again I am sorry about your friend."

"Thanks Duck."

"I take it you are having trouble getting to sleep."

"I am just really worried."

"I believe I gave you some teas, when Anthony was ill."

"Yeah you did. Are they still good?"

"They should be of course if there is a foul odor do not drink them."

"I won't but why is this important?"

"There should be some in there that will help you relax and sleep."

"Oh thank you, Duck."

"I could always drive over with some that is definitely fresh."

"No it is too late and you are probably sleepy."

"On the contrary I am only a few minutes off of the time I usually wake up."

"Well if you are sure."

"Don't worry Jethro it is no trouble at all."
