Gibbs was driving Amira and Abby back to his house when he got the call. He had a bad feeling since he left the hospital that morning. He just hoped that he was wrong. Since he left Tony had taken a bad turn and was now on a ventilator and incredibly weak. He quietly told Abby what was going on and she calmly suggested a girl's dinner to Amira. After dropping the two off at the nearest pizza place. He rushed off to Bethesda.

"Hang on Tony. I'm coming!" Gibbs called as he rushed down the road.

It was dark the next time Tony opened his eyes. He had fallen asleep shortly after having the ventilator forced down his throat. He had panicked when he saw the tube coming at him. So badly that Dr. Pitt had to hold him down. He was glad that Brad was there and he wasn't stuck with a bunch of unfamiliar doctors who didn't understand his medical anxieties. He heard a noise on the other side of the room and weakly turned his head. Gibbs was sitting in the chair that leaned against the wall. He couldn't speak because of the vent but Dr. Pitt had left a pen and pad of paper on the stand beside his bed.

"Boss?" Tony wrote.

"Glad you're up Tony." Gibbs replied.

"When did you get here?" Tony questioned.

"About an hour ago." Gibbs replied.

"What about Amira?" Tony asked.

"I dropped her off with Abby and McGee is going to pick them up." Gibbs explained.

"She OK?" Tony asked.

"She seems to be doing better." Gibbs replied.

"Good" Tony replied.

"How are you?" Gibbs asked.

"Not sure I'm going to make it." Tony wrote.

"Like hell you aren't." Gibbs replied as he stood, walked over to Tony, and slapped him on the back of the head.

"What was that for?" Tony replied.

"You really think I am going to let you die with a two-year old daughter and a girlfriend who is carrying your unborn child?" Gibbs questioned.

"No, sir" Tony replied.

"That's what I thought. Now get some rest and focus on getting better." Gibbs replied.

"On it" Tony replied.

Ziva knew it was going to be really bad when Ducky came into her room. He had left Sadie downstairs playing. He never left Sadie up or downstairs alone. He always brought her up and put her in her room or took her downstairs and let her play on the living room floor. So when he came up alone without Sadie. She knew that whatever was about to be told to her. Was going to be horrible and more than likely having to do with Tony.

"Ziva?" Ducky called.

"What is it Ducky?" Ziva asked.

"I just got of the phone with Jethro." Ducky sighed.

"Is Amira still angry with him?" Ziva asked.

"No she is actually feeling a lot better since meeting with Sister Beverly but that is not what Jethro called about." Ducky explained.

"It's Tony isn't it?" Ziva asked.

"I am afraid that Anthony had to be put on a ventilator this afternoon." Ducky explained.

"No" Ziva pleaded.

"I am sorry but he is in poor shape and deteriorating." Ducky explained.

"He can't die!" Ziva cried.

"The good news is that Jethro has forbidden him from dying." Ducky replied.

"It better work." Ziva replied.

"If Anthony know what is good for him. He will follow the order." Ducky replied.

"Only Gibbs would threaten to kill you after you died." Ziva commented.

Gibbs watched his boy sleep. He hoped that Tony wasn't going to disobey his order and die. He knew that Tony's body had been through a lot the past few years and months but he had seen Tony beat the plague. In his opinion if somebody could follow a direct order to live while fighting the plague. They could follow that order for anything. Especially somebody like Tony who never gave up without one hell of a fight and finally had what he had yearned for, for so long. A family and Ziva back. Surely Tony would fight for Sadie, Ziver, and his unborn child. The former Marine shifted in his chair and remembered what Dr. Pitt had told him. That it always got worse before it got better. Especially when it came to Tony. When he had the plague Tony had no color, the vent was at one hundred percent and hr was hacking up what seemed to be all of his blood one night. Then the next morning the vent was only working at fifty percent, he had color and looked alive again, he was no longer coughing up blood, and best of all. He was being Tony again. Gibbs prayed that would be how it happened this time. Minus Tony coughing up blood. That was a sight he would sell his soul never to see again.

"Gibbs?" Dr. Pitt called from the doorway.

"What is it Brad?" Gibbs asked.

"I am sorry but I am going to have to kick you out." Dr. Pitt replied.

"Fifteen more minutes?" Gibbs begged.

"I have given you fifteen more minutes five times already." Dr. Pitt reminded,

"Oh alright. Tony remember you will not die," Gibbs grunted before standing and leaving the hospital room.

Across town Amira was lying in her bed at Judy's house. Trying to believe was Sister Beverly said that cancer was nobodies fault and that her mother was going to a better place. She knew that Gibbs wouldn't really do anything that evil but what if he decided he didn't want her anymore? What if she was bad and he took her to the orphanage? The one that her mom had told her about back in Afghanistan where bad people were always trying to kill her.

"Amira dear are you alright?" Judy asked.

"Yeah I am fine." Amira lied.

"Well if you need anything let me know." Judy replied.

"Yes of course Judy." Amira replied, maybe she should just go back to Afghanistan and save Gibbs the trouble.
