The team was off on Saturday. So Tony decided to take Sadie to the park. That was the thing he hated about working at NCIS. Was how much it kept him away from his baby girl. Jimmy was supposed to take Sadie for a girl's day with Emma but he had a bad cold. So Tony decided to take Emma for Jimmy instead. He was glad that Emma was adopted and wouldn't being having the same issues with missing her mother Amira was having. Emma never talked about her parents but based on what Jimmy said he didn't blame her. He called Gibbs and invited him too but he said he didn't know if Amira would want to go or not but he doubted it.
"Come on Sadie wake-up." Tony called.
"When are Jimmy and Emma getting here?" Sadie asked.
"Jimmy has a cold. So we are picking Emma up instead." Tony explained.
"Oh" Sadie replied.
"Come on let's get you dressed. We are going to the park." Tony replied.
"The park?" Sadie asked.
"Yeah" Tony replied.
"YAY! I love the park!" Sadie cried.
Jimmy forced himself to get out of bed. Yet another difficult aspect of being a single parent. Having to get up and take care of your kid. Even when you were sick and so dizzy the room was spinning. He picked up his meter and checked his blood-sugar. It was low but not enough to be any cause for alarm. He made a mental note to eat a chocolate pop-tart or something for breakfast and then check again. With any luck after that he would be fine. He stumbled to Emma's room and walked over to his daughter's bed.
"Emma?" Jimmy called.
"What?" Emma asked.
"It's time to get up." Jimmy replied.
"Oh we are meeting Sadie and Tony!" Emma cried.
"Actually I am sick." Jimmy replied.
"I havta stay home?" Emma asked.
"No Tony and Sadie are going to pick you up instead." Jimmy replied.
"Good" Emma replied.
"Come on let's get you dressed and fed." Jimmy replied.
"OK" Emma replied.
Once Sadie was done eating. Tony set her down in front of the TV and turned on Nick Jr. for her. Then he poured himself and Ziva bowls of cereal and glasses of orange juice and carried them upstairs. He was supposed to paint today but Jimmy was too sick to even think of taking the kids out and both girls did deserve a fun day. Besides if Jimmy was sick he would really need a break from Emma. So he could just lie in bed and worry about himself for a few hours.
"Wake up ZeeVah! It's breakfast time!" Tony called.
"Tony? Aren't you going to paint today?" Ziva asked.
"No Jimmy has a cold. So I am going to take the girls out." Tony explained.
"Oh well I hope Jimmy feels better soon and I hope you have fun with Sadie and Emma." Ziva replied.
"Yeah me too." Tony replied.
Tony packed a picnic of turkey and cheddar cheese sandwiches, he used miracle-whip for the girls sandwiches and horseradish for his own. He made a green salad and packed a large bottle or ranch dressing and a fruit-salad minus strawberries, he packed Zebra cakes for the girls for desert and a blueberry pocket pie for himself. He tossed two Kool-Aide Jammers in the box grape for Emma and cherry for Sadie. Once lunch was packed he turned off the TV, made sure Sadie used the bathroom and then headed out the door. He pulled up to Jimmy's house at eleven fifteen. He left Sadie waiting in the car with the windows down and he made sure to take the keys, and walked over to knocked on the door.
"Hello?" Jimmy greeted.
"Gremlin, it's Tony I am here to get Emma." Tony replied.
"Hold on" Jimmy sniffed.
"Man you look like hell." Tony observed.
"Feel like it too." Jimmy replied.
"Do you want me to keep Emma overnight?" Tony asked.
"No that's fine besides you already have enough on your plate with Sadie and Ziva being on bed-rest. I don't wait to over stress you." Jimmy replied.
"Palmer it is fine really." Tony replied.
"I will think about it." Jimmy replied.
"Great, now Sadie is waiting in the car." Tony replied.
"OK, EMMA!" Jimmy called.
Tony put Emma's car-seat in his van and then closed the door. He drove the girls to the park that he always took Sadie to. It was the same one that Gibbs and Shannon had taken Kelly to when she was alive. He let the girls run around while he set-up the picnic. Once everything was ready he called for Sadie and Emma to come over. Once the girls were over he handed them their food and then sat down to eat, himself.
"This is really good, daddy." Sadie informed him.
"Yeah this is good, Mr. Tony." Emma replied.
"Thank you girls. Eat up and then we can go play some more." Tony replied.
"I wish my daddy could be here." Emma replied.
"I do too Emma." Tony replied.
"I wish Amira wasn't so sad and would come." Sadie replied.
"Me too." Tony agreed.
"Daddy?" Sadie asked.
"What is it baby girl?" Tony asked.
"Will Ziva be able to play with us after the baby is born?" Sadie asked.
"Well at first she is going to be really tired and busy but once things settle down a bit I am sure she would love to join us." Tony replied.
"YAY!" Sadie cried.
"Are you excited about the baby?" Emma asked.
"Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!" Sadie cried.
"What about you Tony?" Emma asked.
"Of course I am excited. Because then I will have two amazing children and an amazing wife. What more could I ask for?" Tony asked.
