Gibbs placed his hand on the back of Tony's head. There was a definite gash where he had hit the can. By now McGee and Ducky were standing around them. Gibbs wanted to pick Tony up, shake him, and demand to know why he didn't listen but he knew that would do nothing but hurt Tony.

"Jethro step back and allow me to take over." Ducky said.

What can I do?" Gibbs asked.

"Wait for the ambulance." Ducky replied.

"Right" Gibbs replied.

Gibbs drug himself out to the living room. He wished that there was a way to turn off the horrible thoughts that were swirling around in his head. He wished that he could turn back time and make Tony bring the bucket up to the top of the ladder with him. On second thought that probably wouldn't do anything. This was Tony he was thinking about. Trouble seemed to follow poor Tony wherever he went. He should have made Tony only paint the bottom half of the walls with McGee and Ducky. He could have handled the higher parts of the walls on his own. It was too late now Tony was already hurt and there was nothing he could do to fix it. All he could do was hope that the injuries were ones the doctors could easily treat and cure. He heard sirens coming up the street and saw the flashing lights. He got up, walked outside, and directed to paramedics upstairs to the room where Tony lay.

"Gibbs?!" Ziva called.

"What is it, Ziver?" Gibbs asked as he entered the room across the hall.

"What's going on? Why are there sirens?" Ziva questioned.

"Tony is hurt." Gibbs replied.

"What happened?" Ziva asked.

"He fell off a ladder and hit his head." Gibbs explained.

"Is he going to be OK?" Ziva asked.

"I hope so." Gibbs replied.

Abby looked at Sadie who was almost asleep in the backseat. She wished that she could spend every day with that girl. She looked just like Tony but her personality was like a tiny girl version of Gibbs. She was probably as smart as McGee too but Tony had shown signs of being a lot smarter than he let on or even allowed himself to believe. She turned onto Gibbs's street and noticed the an ambulance parked in one of the yards. She felt her heart speed up in her chest. It nearly jumped out when she realized that it was parked at Gibbs's house. She jumped out of the car and ran towards the house. Nearly knocking down Timmy in the process.

"Timmy what's going on?" Abby asked.

"Tony hit his head." McGee replied.

"Is he going to be OK?" Abby asked.

"I don't know just baby sit Sadie! Oh and get her out of here!" McGee cried.

"Yeah I will take her to my place." Abby replied.

"Great I will call you when there's news." McGee replied.

Gibbs rode in the ambulance with Tony. While McGee and Ducky followed close behind in McGee's hybrid. He told the ambulance driver about fifty times to take him to Bethesda. Even though both him and Ducky had told the paramedics that same thing twice while they were working on Tony before bringing him downstairs.

"Hang on, son. Just hang on." Gibbs pleaded.

The ambulance skidded to a halt outside of Bethesda. The paramedics raced out pushing Tony on the stretcher and Gibbs followed them until they rushed Tony through the double doors to the main part of the hospital. He stumbled into the nearest seat in the waiting room. Five minutes later McGee and Ducky joined him.

"Any word?" Ducky asked.

"Not yet but they did just take him back." Gibbs replied.

"I know that I was just wondering if you had heard anything in the ambulance." Ducky corrected.

"I haven't heard anything and he is still out." Gibbs replied.

"This is Tony, though." McGee commented.

"That lad does seem to have at least nine lives." Ducky added.

"Well he better not run out of lives until Sadie and his baby are grown." Gibbs replied.

After a few minutes of waiting McGee went to call Abby to check on Sadie and Ducky went to grab some coffee for the three of them. Ducky returned five minutes later and McGee came back about fifteen minutes after that. Gibbs chugged his coffee and Ducky rushed off to get him a fresh one. He tried to stand up but found himself unable to stand. After what felt like an eternity a doctor emerged from behind the doors.

"Family of Tony Gibbs?" A doctor called.

"That's us" Gibbs replied.

"I have good news." The doctor replied.

"Which is?" Gibbs questioned.

"Agent DiNozzo is awake." The doctor replied.

"How is he, though?" Gibbs demanded.

"He has a concussion and a nasty gash in the back of the head but his skull has only a minor crack. He will be here for a few days and he will need to be monitored for a while but he should make a complete recovery." The doctor explained.

A/N: Sorry for the shortness but I had very little inspiration. I am probably going to wrap this soon and may or may not write a sequel. New chapter will be up soon. Please review and thanks for reading.
