Tony ran his hand through Ziva's hair. She was doing great and finally able to go home. It had only been a couple of days but it had been hard on Tony. Seeing his fierce ninja confined to a hospital bed. Even more he hated being away from Sadie. He knew Ziva hated being away from her home and Sadie too but her going home was bitter-sweet. Because when they left they would be leaving baby Jack in the NICU. He had improved from the night before but wasn't out of danger yet. Now that Ziva was able to come home Gibbs was keeping Sadie during the day. Allowing Tony and Ziva to spend their days with Jack. Tony would return to work as soon as Jack was in the step down unit and Ziva was able to be more independent. A nurse came in with Ziva's discharge papers.

"You sure you feel up to seeing Jack? Tony asked.

"I need to see him. I have only seen him once since he was born." Ziva replied.

"Alright well if you get tired let me know and I will take you home." Tony replied,

"I will be fine." Ziva assured.

"Just take it easy. I don't want you back in the hospital." Tony replied.

"You worry too much." Ziva commented.

"Spend enough time with Gibbs." Tony explained.

"Gibbs does not worry." Ziva argued.

"Oh yeah he does." Tony replied.

"Well I suppose if I almost died as much as you I may see it." Ziva remarked.

"Ouch" Tony replied.

Ziva was furious that Tony and the doctors insisted that she use a wheelchair. She was more than capable of walking. Sure she was a little sore but she was fine otherwise. She understood leaving in the hospital in a wheelchair but it drove her crazy that she had to use one just to get to see her son. She even had to stay in the chair in the NICU. Which was ridiculous considering there were doctors and nurses everywhere.

"I hate this thing!" Ziva snapped.

"I'm sorry" Tony apologized.

"I feel like a cripple and I hate it!" Ziva yelled.

"I am telling Delilah you said that." Tony replied.

"I have nothing against the handicapped but I do not like being in a wheelchair when I am just fine. It is frustrating." Ziva clarified.

"I know but hospitals have regulations." Tony explained repeating the same line Gibbs and doctors gave him every time he was discharged from the hospital.

"Did you stay up all night rehearsing that?" Ziva asked.

"No but it's the line Gibbs and the doctors give me every time I am released from the hospital. Except it is usually accompanied by a head-slap. Unless I have a concussion of course." Tony explained.

"So you can't really classify that as usually?" Ziva asked.

"I don't get that many concussions!" Tony argued.

"Tony they named the MRI machine after you!" Ziva snapped.

"Great I married Gibbs." Tony muttered under his breath.

"I think we both married Gibbs." Ziva replied.

Tony looked into his newborn son's incubator. Seeing his son up close made him question if he really was improving or if the nurses were lying to him. Deep down he knew they would never do that but seeing his child so sick and fragile made him question everything. He wondered if this was how Gibbs felt when he was on the verge of death.

"Of course I feel the same way when you are in the hospital." Gibbs said walking into the NICU.

"How do you do that?" Tony asked.

"You'll figure it out." Gibbs replied.

"Don't like revealing your secrets, huh?" Tony questioned.

"Jack told me the same thing when Kelly was born. I hated how he was always in my head and don't worry you'll get it with Sadie too." Gibbs explained.

"I don't hate that you are in my head. It annoys me sometimes but I don't hate it." Tony corrected.

"Well you didn't have me around when you were a teenager." Gibbs joked.

"Sadie and Jack won't be able to have any fun with you and me around will they?" Tony asked.

"Somehow even less than I had with Jack around." Gibbs replied.

"Would Jack have liked that we named our son for him?" Ziva asked speaking for the first time.

"He would have been honored. He adored both of you." Gibbs replied.

"Even if Jack isn't right?" Ziva asked.

"What do you mean by that?" Gibbs asked.

"Would your dad still have been honored if Jack has issues from being a preemie?" Ziva asked.

"Of course he would. He wouldn't have cared if Jack was special needs as long as he is alive. Why does that scare you?" Gibbs asked.

"A little" Ziva admitted.

"Me too" Tony added.

"That's natural but you two will be amazing parents to Jack no matter what. You are both great with Sadie and you are both strong." Gibbs assured.

"Neither of us have faced a challenge like that." Ziva commented.

"Nobody expects it but when it happens good parents rise to the occasion and give the child the best life possible. I know you and I know Ziva and you are loyal and can overcome anything." Gibbs explained.

"Thanks dad" Tony replied.

"Yeah it means a lot it really does." Ziva added.

"One more thing. I've seen babies a lot sicker than Jack be just fine." Gibbs replied.

After Gibbs left Tony started to really think about what he had told him. About how strong Ziva and him were and how they could rise to the occasion. They truly had overcome so much in their lives. That they would be able to step up and care for their child no matter what. He also remembered what Gibbs and Vance had said about how Jack could and probably would be just fine. SHe was beyond lucky to have a dad like Leroy Jethro Gibbs and prayed that he could be half as good of a father to Jack and Sadie as Gibbs was to him.

A/N: Hopefully Gibbs calmed Ziva's anxieties as much as Tony's. New chapter will be up soon. Please review and thanks for reading.
