Chapter Fifteen
Quinn slammed her locker shut. The party may have been weeks ago, but her head was still pounding from the alcohol she had drunk last night. Anything to relieve the stress. Flashes of Rachel smiling, running through her head all night along with the guilt. She was so happy now, they were so happy now. So of course this had to happen.
"What's wrong?" Santana and Brittney were beside her locker, and of course her best friends would be able to recognize the look on her face.
She was tempted to brush them off and say she was 'fine' but she was at her breaking point. She realized she really needed someone to talk to, and Rachel wasn't really an option.
"There's something I need to tell you guys," Quinn said.
"What?" Santana asked, eyebrows furrowed.
"I don't exactly want to talk about it here, lets go to the track."
Fifth period P.E was out running laps on the track, but the three friends sat high on the bleachers, where they couldn't be heard.
"I haven't exactly been honest with you girls," Quinn looked out over the track and watched a slightly chubbier girl lag behind the rest of the group running laps. "I mean I haven't lied, I just haven't told you everything." Quinn looked down. "Rachel and I are dating."
She heard them gasp, "How could you not have told us?" Santana and Brittney had been out to Quinn since middle school, she used to help them get beards.
Quinn looked back at the track, "And I've cheated on her."
"At the party?" Santana asked.
Quinn nodded.
"Were you drunk," Santana asked, "Or did you actually like her, who was it?"
Quinn met her eyes. "It wasn't a her. It was Puck."
"Well Rachel's not exactly my favorite person," Santana said. "But that's a fucked up thing to do."
"I didn't do it because I wanted to," Quinn said, wrapping her arms around herself at the memory. "He practically raped me. But it wasn't just that, I didn't want him to think I was gay."
Quinn knew how bad this must sound to them, that she had let someone have sex with her because she was so afraid of people knowing who she was. But she didn't have anyone else to tell, or anyone that she would want to tell more, they were her best-friends, her source of security and comfort in the world. Besides, it wasn't that simple.
Quinn remembered the distant pounding of music, Puck had dragged her into a room away from everyone else, except the boy lying unconscious on the floor passed out drunk that is. "I know about you and Rachel," Puck said, he wasn't even slurring his words, though he should have been. Quinn felt dizzy from intoxication just looking at him. "See you guys in the hallways all the time, don't think I'm stupid. Your gay. Your gay, Quinn."
Quinn shook her head. "We're not together," she said.
"I'll tell everyone," Puck said. "You shouldn't be so shy Quinn, I'll tell everyone."
"We're not together," Quinn repeated firmly.
"Oh yeah, prove it."
There was a strong, unpleasant smell of alcohol on his breath as he spoke. Alcohol wasn't unpleasant on everyone's breath, but on his it was. The taste of it as he kissed her. She shuddered at the memory. He had forced his lips upon her, but she didn't fight back. He was drunk with desire, and she was weak from being drunk.
"It wouldn't even matter," Quinn said to Brittney and Santana. "I would have just lied to her but..." Quinn shook her head, she could feel tears coming. "I'm pregnant."
"What?" Brittney moved to sit on Quinn's other side, (previously she had been sitting next to Santana) and watched her with concern on her the gentle features of her face. "That's awful."
Quinn put her face in her hands as she started to cry. Brittney's soft gentle words seemed to make it worse, as if they were coaxing out the truth, forcing her to accept that this was real, and how awful it really was.
Brittney put an arm around her shoulder. "Hey its okay," she encouraged. "Rachel will forgive you, I know she will."
Santana was frowning slightly as she watched them, "I don't know Britt, will she?"
Brittney shot her a look.
"You have to tell her the truth," Brittney soothed. "It's the only way, before its too late."
Quinn knew she was right, and as Brittney held her like a friend, she wondered if she would ever feel Rachel's arms around her again.

"How did first period go?" Shelby asked.
"Mom, it went fine," Rachel was walking down the hallway with her phone to her ear, talking to Shelby through it.
"But you forgot your backpack," Shelby said, still anxious. Rachel had forgotten to take her school supplies to Shelby's when she had spent the weekend there, she had been a bit too caught up in everything. Seeing the small, but flawlessly polished and organized condo, and the slight shock of spending time there with Shelby had commanded all of her focus. She hadn't realized she didn't have them until the morning of school, and she was late waking up so she didn't have time to swing by LeRoy's to pick them up, she was meeting Quinn before first period, so she just told Shelby that she would be fine without them.
"The teacher was cool with it," Rachel said. The teacher might not have noticed. Rachel didn't know. She hadn't handed in her homework, but then, she hadn't handed in her math homework in a while. She was too stressed, the grade was getting pretty low, but thinking about it only made it worse. "Mom I gotta talk to you later, I'm in school, I have class."
"Didn't your class start five minutes ago?" Shelby asked. She didn't miss anything. She was probably sitting in her classroom, having a planning period before choir started. Turning back and forth just slightly in her desk chair. "The bell just rang here."
"Well, we have a different bell schedule," Rachel lied.
"Hey do you have everything for tonight? Know what to wear and all?"
"Yeah," Rachel said. Shelby was driving her and Quinn to a restaurant for a date. It would be their first real date in a way. Shelby had said she wanted to be able to drive her somewhere for her first date, like a mother would. She was just in time, Rachel supposed, another year and she would have had her licence.
"Listen mom, I gotta go." Rachel pushed open the door to the school, and started walking on the grass leading to the track.
"Okay, love you Rachel."
"I love you too."
Rachel pressed end. Behind the track there was a forest type area of trees. It was perfect for smoking, because you couldn't be seen by the school. Rachel leaned against a tree and pulled out a pack of cigarettes.
She lit one up and breathed deeply. She wasn't smoking because she was unhappy. She was quite happy. It was just something to take the headache off. Besides, there was no point in going to class, she didn't have the assignments with her anyway.

Quinn touched the wine glass with one finger, wondering if she could get them to give her and Rachel champagne, or if they would ask for ID. Red wine would be sexier, she supposed, but it would also be sort of cliche, and she had never tried champagne before, but heard it was good. Rachel had never tried it either.
Rachel's eyes were large as she admired Quinn. The way she sat posed with her legs crossed, one elbow on the table, one finger poking the wine glass. The light blue dress went nicely with her blonde hair, which was pulled back in a low ponytail, instead of her usual high one. It felt to Rachel as if Quinn were radiating light, and it was hard for Rachel to keep her legs from squirming under the table, she couldn't sit so perfectly still as Quinn.
"You know you don't realize how lucky you are," Quinn said looking up from the glass.
Quinn's voice was flawless, and perfectly edged.
"My mom would never let me do any of this."
"Are you ever going to tell her?"
"I don't know," Quinn mused. "I wish my mom was like Shelby, cool with who you are, with being a lesbian-"
Rachel thought the word sounded so beautiful on Quinn's tongue. It didn't sound beautiful when everyone said it. Rachel had heard it said badly so many times that she had stopped liking to use the word. But hearing Quinn say it made her think that she could love it again.
"-I don't know what she'd do if she found out, disown me," Quinn shrugged. She also didn't know what her mom would do if she found out she was pregnant, or what would be worse. Quinn had decided not to tell Rachel about that now, she didn't want to ruin their date with it. Everything felt so perfect right now, and she wanted one last perfect night. Rachel looked so cute with her eyes so huge, they almost looked innocent, which was deceiving, Quinn knew better than anybody all of the shit Rachel had been through.
When they got back to Shelby's condo the house was quiet and the lights were off. Shelby had a choir concert to go to, and she said she had to stay late to help clean up too, so Rachel and Quinn had taken the bus home.
"Hello?" Rachel called out, just making sure.
She turned the lights on.
No one answered.
"So," Quinn smiled, showing all of her straight teeth, Quinn had really beautiful teeth, Rachel had noticed before, obviously, but she had never really appreciated them as much until now. "Your mom won't be home for a while huh?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Ah no, I guess we'll just have to, just have to hang out in my room for a while," Rachel found herself a little nervous.
It was like Quinn was reading her mind as those eyes bore into Rachel's.
Quinn laughed. It was musical. "I guess so," she said softly. Her face was leaning towards Rachel's.
Rachel looked down at her slightly parted lips, leaning towards them and inhaling her soft smell. There kiss was strong, and the feeling it produced seemed to spread from Rachel's lips, and down her face.
Quinn started to kiss along her jawline, down her neck, behind her ear.
Rachel gasped and pulled away. "Come on," she said, eyes shinning, "Lets go to my room."
Quinn looked dazed for a moment, eyes drunk with hunger, but she managed a nod. She took Rachel's hand firmly and started leading her down the hall. Rachel giggled at her determination.
Rachel's bed was covered in white, white blankets, white sheets and white pillowcases, it was like an angel's bed, Quinn thought. The only thing to contrast with the white was the dark wood of the bed frame.
Quinn pushed Rachel down onto the bed by pressing her fingers into her shoulder. Rachel sat on the bed, and Quinn sat on her lap, legs draped across it, fingers laced around her neck.
"So," Quinn said softly, trailing a hand down Rachel's neck, her voice smelled sweet in a strong way, like candy. "Are you a virgin?" Quinn messaged the softest part of Rachel's chest.
Rachel gasped as Quinn touched her breast, igniting the nerves there, even through the fabric of the dress. "No," Rachel managed, "My drunk foster brother took that away from me."
Quinn pushed her back onto the bed, so they were both lying down on it, side by side. "But you've never done a girl?" Quinn squeezed her breast.
"No," Rachel gasped. She felt her knees moving a little, her legs squirming together. She reached out to touch Quinn's chest.
Quinn looped her arms around Rachel, hands clasped at the small of her back, and pulled her towards her so that Rachel's open legs colluded with her stomach, and they were as close as possible, both or Rachel's hands resting on Quinn's breasts.
Quinn reached down and placed a hand over the soft space between Rachel's legs, feeling its warmth through her underwear.
"Wait," Rachel said. "We should take our dresses off first."
Quinn snorted in amusement, but withdrew her hand. "You're right." She reached back and pulled down Rachel's zipper. The metal of it was cold, but Rachel's skin was so warm below, Rachel shivered as Quinn touched her.
Rachel reached back and pulled down Quinn's zipper, then they were both pulling each other's dresses over there heads, trying to be as careful as possible while they were tearing them off fast and desperately. Rachel thought it was a pretty big accomplishment though, they managed not to rip any part of the dresses.
Rachel was wearing a black lacy bra, her brown skin looked beautiful underneath it. Quinn found herself kissing it, then every part of Rachel. They turned on the bed, hands intertwined in hair, reaching down over smooth skin quickly becoming wet with a sheen of sweat. They found the wettest part of each other, and one by one they stroked, stroked each other, light, then unbearably sharp, then they exploded. First Rachel, then Quinn.
Then they kissed each other in comfort and in love, then they held each other, Quinn resting her head on Rachel's shoulder, her knees resting in the crook of Rachel's knees. Quinn fell asleep spooning Rachel, and Rachel fell asleep cuddled in her warm embrace.
Authors Note: Okay so this is the first chapter I've posted in about a month and surprise, there's a sex scene! This was actually my first time writing a sex scene, and I realize that it was not very detailed, but because I have never written one, and because this story isn't really centered around them, I didn't know how far to take it, but thought at least some of the details should be there, because it is a fairly important part of this story's plot. Hope it wasn't awful. :) Review!
