I stood behind the heavy metal doors that led to the arena.

Through it I could hear the echoes of cheering from the crowd that awaited outside.

I stared at the dull metal adjusting this piss poor excuse of a top. I mean I don't have overly big boobies but they are anything to laugh at either. The top was just too small.

There was stink emitting from the Terminator behind me. Apparently I was a high risk. Looks like the Games Master had some sense in him.

There was a new noise from outside the doors. It sounded familiar.

"-The stars that mystified-"

Unconsciously started to hum to the beat pulling up my hood so that it rested halfway on my head. The way Banshee braided it reminded me of how Elsa's was in Frozen. Both the hair style and the movie I adore.

"-He left them all behind, and how his children cried, he left us all, behind-"

The doors opened and I walked out as Banshee instructed me before I was summoned. I could feel the sleeveless cloak flutter behind. The material was super lightweight and shimmery.

"HEY MISS MURDER CAN I,"

I couldn't help but chuckle. This is the song they chose? At least AFI was a good band in my opinion.

"HEEEY MISS MURDER CAN I,"

I lifted my head surveying the room. The screen made this look smaller than it actually is.

"MAKE BEAUTY STAY IF I,"

Out of the corner of my eye I saw a camera peeking out of the concrete slyly. Not that I was aware they were easy to spot all throughout the room.

"TAKE MY LIFE,"

The doors on the other side opened and the Huntress stepped out.

"WOOOH OH OH-"

The music was cut and replaced with AC/DC's Shoot to Thrill. Whoever the audio guy was, he clearly though he was funny.

She was a few inches shorter than me. Huntress had both of her hands positioned close to her holsters at her sides as she walked towards me.

She had dark brown eyes, long wavy brown hair, fair skin that hasn't met the sun in a while I'm guessing, and a scar extending from her hair line, through her eyebrow missing her right eye and continued down her cheek to her jaw.

And was dressed awesome.

Huntress had on a similar leather coat that Mathias wore, a black laced corset underneath, tight black leather pants with calf high combat boots.

Figures. She gets to look decent where as I am worrying about my top flying off.

Fuck.

She narrowed her eyes at me looking from top to bottom, then grinned.

I gritted my teeth. She's going to go for the top. Then for my head.

The song reached the last few lyrics.

We both immediately got into fighting stances.

"-SHOOT-"

"-TO-"

"-THRIIIIIIILLLL-"

We launched ourselves at each other.

Her dual handguns already in her hands pointing at me.

I dropped down letting my momentum carry me across the floor as she descended on me.

She snarled firing point blank. I avoided getting hit in the important places but took two in my side.

A look of surprise appeared on her face. She wasn't expecting that.

And now she realized she was going to land on me.

I gave her a split second grin as I pushed myself off the floor, curling in my legs and kicked.

There was a loud oomph as my feet hit her in the chest sending her backwards. With the force of the kick sent me backwards also only I landed a bit more gracefully. I back flipped thinking I was going to land on my feet until a burning pain crippled me causing me to land on my stomach.

We both groaned as we stood.

She was wheezing. I was swearing while putting pressure on my side.

It wasn't that serious. Just a steady stream leaking out.

She lost one of her hand guns. She discharged the clip in the one that remained and replaced it with a fresh one.

I reached into the cloak and pulled out the silver rod. The metal warmed underneath my hand as the sigil glowed an iridescent white.

This didn't go unnoticed by her.

She locked and loaded and started firing.

I dodged to my right narrowly missing a bullet.

Dammit. Something wet hit the back of my head. Without taking my eyes off her I reached back and touched the offending liquid them brought my fingers up to my nose and cringed. It smelt like tobacco spit.

The crowd above was starting to piss me off.

And I wasn't the only one.

Huntress was being assaulted also by liquid or small rocks that made it through the tiny holes of the barrier.

She looked at me and whistled.

I gave her an annoyed look. Only dogs and small children get whistled at for their attention.

I was neither even if my personality suggests something else.

"Time out?" she asked pointing the barrel of her gun towards the spectators.

I ran my thumb over the skull and cross bladed sigil. "Totes." I felt my fangs scrap my bottom lips.

Oh sure, now the aspect shows up.

She nodded with an evil mien. I could feel my face making the same expression.

We turned so that we were back to back staring upwards.

Now.

We both sprinted opposite ways. I used the rod as one of those spear looking things you see track stars use when trying to get over that reeeeeally high bar. I can't remember what it's called but that was basically what I did. That sent my ass up hiiiigh.

My feet came into contact with the wall and I used my free hand to dig my nails into the smooth concrete. Then I climbed. It didn't take to long for me to reach the barrier.

The spectators in that area went quiet.

My fingers wrapped around the chinks in the barrier.

"You want entertainment?" I breathed then leaned in closer. "Why not join the fun?"

I shortened the staff into its rod form then let the blade realease. The metal emerging from god knows where made a distinctive noise that's never associated with anything good.

With all the added strength the aspect added onto what I already possessed I drove my blade into the barrier. The blade sliced easily through whatever metal was used to secure the spectators from exactly what was happening now.

Their screams of fear were actually delightful.

These demented cowards rushed towards the exits in swarms.

They trampled over those unlucky enough to have fallen without a single care.

I honestly thought of escaping within the chaos. It would be kinda hard since I'm dressed the way I am.

Turns out a black sleeveless cloaked, skanky tube toped girl wearing silk harem styled pants while wielding at full length a 6 foot scythe with a protruding four foot blade is very noticeable.

Even in a crowd of panicking idiots.

So instead of running out with them I dropped from the barrier back into the arena waiting for further chaos.

Huntress was still up there causing anarchy.

There was no point to rush her.

Huntress's laughs of amusement were louder than the spectators screams as she fired off her sidearm again and again and again.

Out of boredom I sat down with my scythe still in its tiniest form.

Where the hell were the guards?

As soon as I said it they busted in.

I got to my feet.

"About time." I muttered as the terminator douche dragged me out by the hood of the cloak.

I watched three less experienced suckers try to apprehend Huntress but she was having too much fun.

I found myself being taken to Octavius's office once again.

I hope he had a shit fit when he watched me cut through the flimsy ass barrier he probably persuaded his sponsors that was safe.

Oops. Hah.

Terminator opened the door and shoved me in then closed it.

Rude.

I walked over to his desk where he banged his forehead against his solid metal desk.

"So much for those sponsors right almighty Games Master?"

The flamboyant perv looked up and glared.

But then smiled.

Shit.

"Still gloating from what you thought was a win?" his voice was ice cold.

I shrugged off the malice radiating from him.

"Just trying to include the audience, ever so infallible leader."

I couldn't help but smile.

It was fun pissing him off. And at the moment it's like he couldn't hurt me.

Obviously he can. He has centuries of experience that I will probably never have.

Hell I might not even live to even see my high school graduation.

I'm babbling again. I tuned into whatever the idiot was going on about.

But he was really quiet.

Scary.

He looked at me again. Only without most of the malice.

Then he finally decided on something.

"I'm sick of looking at you and your . . . outfit. Dismissed."

Huh?

One of the red heads appeared and impolitely dragged me back to the cell.

What the hell?

When I returned Matthias blasted me about being reckless and stupid.

Apparently word traveled fast at how Huntress and I turned against the spectators and not each other.

I shrugged when he asked me what I was thinking.

He groaned out of frustration pinching the bridge of his nose with his thumb and fore finger squeezing his eyes shut.

"You're going to give yourself grey hair." But after I said that I wanted to hit myself in the face.

He has white hair.

And I'm a moron.

Mathias looked up and laughed. Talk about bipolar.

I looked around the cell and spotted Claude next to Eidel's body.

She was sitting crossed legged with her hand facing palm upward on her knees. Her eyes were shut.

"How long has she been searching?"

Claude scratched his stubble. "Like two hours or so."

I nodded.

"How long can she stay like that?" he asked. I could detect a small note of worry in his otherwise impassive tone.

"Dunno." I said truthfully.

"Normal people can spend up to a few hours away before they exhaust themselves spiritually. But since she's possessed by a high ranking demi daemon she could easily quadruple the maximum amount of time. Besides it's not like she has to worry about anything else coming at her."

He looked at me clueless. I sighed. I wasn't supposed to be the smart one. I kick ass and take names not repeat boring lectures I was given by Rian. That was Aries forte.

Ignoring the abandonment I feel I went back to explaining why there is a two hour maximum. "When a person soul leaves they leave their body unoccupied. Like a meat puppet. Living but lifeless bodies attract the not so nice entities and there is a lot of bad omens. And it the worst case scenario someone gets possessed or well their body does."

Claude looked impressed. "Where did you learn this?"

I shrugged. "Internet and common sense."

Moments later Banshee was back.

The demi daemon stretched out popping her stiff joints.

Then she looked at our expectant faces.

She shook her head. "Wait five minutes and then you will know okay?"

How suspenseful. But we didn't push it. She looked tired.

"But you did find something correct?" Matthias asked.

She held up five fingers while drinking some water from a canteen.

So we waited.

The doors were unlocked and swung outwards. We all had quizzical looks but left the cell.

Claude was indiscreetly holding Eidel up.

Everyone made their way to the ex-dungeon room.

There were no supplies. Just a stage where a small girl was on her knees with her head bent forward. Her hands were tied behind her. I looked back at Banshee who looked dead ahead.

Octavius strolled in looking more cheerful than I had last saw him.

"Everyone I'm sure you are aware of the mysterious markings that have been going on for the past couple of days. I'm here to inform you that this will never happen again."

Octavius then pulled a large medieval battle axe out of thin air.

"Spy's of the Cloak and Dagger Society, I give you a message to send back to your boss."

He raised the axe. That's when the little girl looked up with tears running down her brave face.

"Don't send a pathetic girl to do their dirty work." The axe came down.

"Protect my sister!" She yelled to the crowd then was silenced.

Her bright emerald green eyes stared dead at us. We didn't make a noise.

Octavius wiped the blood from the blade off on the shirt of one of the soulless gingers.

"Now that is settled report back to your rooms."

Everyone filed out the ex-dungeon. I turned back to the little girl.

Who was she talking to?

And is her sister here?

A hand came around my arm as I was lost in thought. I looked away from the corpse to Matthias pulling me towards the hall. Banshee and Claude were waiting by the door for us.

Sorry for the delayed updates.

School over in less than two weeks so schools been hectic.

More hectic than ever since I'm Graduating.

Once summer hits I'll go back to my normal schedule.

Again thanks for reading!
