It was night.

Craig woke up to a sudden whisper. He looked around but saw nothing that could have made the noise. He got up, careful not to wake Crescent. He decided to put on a blue jacket and he ran out of the house.

He walked to prism tower and frowned at the dark tower. "Weird... Shouldn't it be on?" He said. "Yea, but it happens every night, it's the best part of my nights." Someone shouted. Craig looked around for the source but found someone. He saw two chairs on the ground and sat down on one of them thinking.

"Hey there." Someone to his left said. He turned around and found out someone had sat in the other seat. "Hello." Craig said. "I'm Craig." "I'm Lisia." "Female voice." Craig noted.

Suddenly the tower blazed into light and Craig could see everything more clearly. He turned and he saw a cute girl, about 13. She had a sparkling blue t-shirt with her mid-section showing and matching short pants with a sparkly ribbon around. She had light blue hair and her eyes were green when she turned to look at him. She also wore a tiara with a weird stone in it.

"Hello." Craig said feeling woozy. "Hi." She said. She smiled at him and he smiled back. "Wow, she has a great smile." He thought. She took a glance at the tower and smiled. "It's great, isn't it." She said. It was not exactly a question but Craig answered it.

"It definietly is something else." Craig said. She giggled and Craig turned red. Suddenly a cold breeze swept through. Lisia started to shiver and put her arms around herself, for warmth. Craig noticed and smiled a little.

He took off his jacket and turned to Lisia. "Here, use this." She saw the jacket and smiled. She put it on and sighed. "Thanks, I feel better." Lisia then relaxed and closed her eyes, smiling. Another chilling breeze swept and Craig shivered, feeling goosebumps.

Lisia noticed and she looked worried. Craig turned and he stopped shivering. "Don't worry, I'm alright." Craig said feeling a sudden burst of heat. Umm." She said. "Yea?" Craig asked. "Do you ummm." She said turning cherry red. "Never mind." She said shaking her head. "I have to go." She got up and started to walk away.

But she turned around and quickly ran to Craig. "But, I liked talking to you, I hope I can see you again." She said with a certain tone that made Criag realize it was true. She smiled and Craig smiled too. She punched him lightly in the shoulder and she ran off.

Craig realized that he didn't get his jacket back and he sighed. "Maybe some other time." Craig said. "She was something else." He thought smiling. He quickly ran back home and jumped in bed, hoping no-one noticed him.

...

Day quickly dawned and Craig moaned. "Already!" He shouted. Crescent looked at him with curious eyes, yawning. "Alright, alright, let me get ready and we can get on the road." He said. He walked into the restroom and prepared to get dressed.

...

Meanwhile in a hotel room...

"Lisia!" Someone shrieked. "Wake up! You have a contest today!" A woman walked into her room and threw a bucket of water at her. She got soaked and she instantly got up rubbing her eyes. "I'm up mom!" She said.

But her mom was looking at her strangely. "Where did you get that jacket?" She asked. Lisia realized she was holding Craig's jacket, she had forgot to give it back. "Nowhere!" She said quickly hiding it behind her back. "Alright then..." She said. "Anyway you have a contest today." She snapped. "Bu-" "Get ready, I'll be back in 20 minutes!" She yelled walking out of the room.

Lisia sighed and looked at the jacket. "Maybe I'll see you today, just wait Craig."

...

Apparently Nya had plans to go to a pokemon contest, she bought two front rows tickets. "But why do I have to go!" He complained. "Because I said so!" Nya said. "But!" "But nothing, this is the least you could do, remember my birthday?" She said. Craig winced, when it was her birthday he had accidentally burned all her presents.

"Fine, but how much longer do we have to walk?" Craig asked. "No longer, we're here!" Nya and Craig had walked to a large stage. "Wow this place sure is big! We should get to our seats before it gets too crowded." Nya said. "Wait, you said there was a surprise for me!" Craig said. "You will get it after the performance."

Craig and Nya got really close to the stage and sat down when they heard an announcement. "Our first performance will be Ashley and Trode!" Crescent looked up and then jumped on Craig's lap.

And so it went on and on and on, until one name jolted Craig awake. "Now, for our last performance we have Lisia! And Ali!" There was a thunderous applause. "Lisia?" Craig repeated lightly. "Yup! She is a famous idol, all the way from hoenn." Nya said.

Lisia then walked on the stage, smiling and waving her hand. An Altaria accompanied her and it had a weird stone embedded in a necklace. She looked around, her face curious. Her eyes landed on Craig and she thought. "Craig is here!"

She quickly finished her act and the announcer spoke again. "And that was Lisia! Now the people with VIP passes can meet the contestants." "Aww I wish we had VIP passes." Craig said. Nya looked faintly surprised. "I thought you said you didn't like contests!" Nya said. Craig scratched the back of his head. "Well, umm." Craig said.

"I knew you might change so I got these!" Nya said pulling up two tags. Craig smiled as he realized they were VIP passes. "Thank you!" He shouted. Nya gave him a pass and ran into the stage, were the contestants were. Crescent followed him with much surprise. "I better follow him, he could see anyone."

The first thing Craig saw was pandemonium. Everyone was walking everyone, each looking for their own people to meet. There was an especially long line to the left. "Man, they must be popular." He muttered. He walked around he found a man in a black suit next to a door.

"Hello, can you tell me where Lisia is?" Craig asked. "She is over there." He said pointing to the crowded door. "Awww man!" He complained. He walked to a bench next to the door and stared at the line. He looked down and sighed. Suddenly he felt someone standing over him. He looked up and found Nya. "Hey, waiting for Lisia?" She asked. "Yea, but I have no chance anytime soon."

"Don't worry." Nya said. Suddenly the door creaked open and a girl left looking happy. Lisia then went to the door and peeked out. She saw Craig and she smiled. The man in front noticed and he grinned. "You can go ahead, I'm in no hurry." He said. "Really? Thank you." Craig said.

Craig and Nya walked into the room and sat in front of Lisia. Lisia smiled and waved at them. "So, it's nice to see you again Craig." She said. Craig smiled and nodded. "It's nice to see you too." Craig said. Nya looked surprised and stared at Craig. "Wait you already met!? When!" She said.

Craig realized it was going to happen away so he told her that he left the house last night and where he went. "So you went out of the house and walked to prism tower! At night." She shouted. "Ummm yes?" Craig said. Crescent looked confused as well.

Lisia chuckled and they turned to look at her. "Yeah, but tell the whole story." So Craig repeated what had happened. Nya seemed to cool down. "And so you met." She said. But Craig and Lisia were looking away from each other. Nya snickered and stood up. "I'll let you two have some time." She said. She walked to a different room leaving Craig dazed.

"So, you're from hoenn?" Craig started. She sighed. "Yes, but I came here hoping that I could stay away from contests for a while, but as you can see I was forced." She said. "Forced? By who?" Craig said frowning. "My mom." She said. "But what do you really want to do?" Craig asked her, leaning forward. "I want to travel the world! I want to challenge gyms! All I done my life was contests, I want something else for a change." Lisia said.

"Then why don't you ask her?" Craig said slowly. "I'm afraid that if she lets me, I would have to travel alone. And I'm a little scared of her, im not going to ask her by myself!" She said. "If that's the case... Then I'll help you." Craig said. "Really?" She asked surprised. "Of course!" Craig said smiling. She smiled and jumped up. "Alright then! Let's go!" She shouted. "Woah! Now?" Craig said standing up.

"Yea! Let's go!" She shouted running into a room. "Wow, she sure jumps to things fast!" He said. "Absol." Crescent said in agreement.

Craig walked in the room and Lisia smiled at him. "Alright, she is going to be here in about-" she was cut off as a large woman entered the room. "What do you want now!" She shrieked. Craig covered his ears and Crescent winced. "Man she must have broke a new octave!" He thought.

"Um, mom, I want to-" Lisia said before she was cut off. "You want! YOU WANT WHAT!" She screamed. Craig glanced at Lisia who was starting to tear up. "I want to go on a journey." She said faintly. "YOU WHAT! DID THIS BOY HAVE ANYTHING WITH YOU ASKING THAT HORRIBLE CHOICE!" She squealed.

She stepped up to Craig, each step shaking the ground. "IF YOU HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH LISIA TELL ME!" She said. "Chill out a little!" He said lightly. "WHAT!" She balled up her fist and threw it at Craig. He caught the fist, making a loud clap. Lisia's mom looked surprised. Lisia looked equally surprised.

"Alright, now calm down." Craig said slowly. "NO YOU CALM DOWN!" She roared. She turned to Lisia. "AND YOU, LONG LADY SHALL NEVER GO ON A JOURNEY, SO FORGET IT NOW, YOU UNGRATEFUL BRAT, I GAVE YOU YOUR POPULARITY AND I CAN TAKE IT!" She yelled. A tear fell down after the assault. "NOW GET OUT OF MY SIGHT."

Lisia ran off, crying. Crescent nodded and ran after her. Craig felt bad. He turned to the mom, his eyes blazing. "What the hell is wrong with you!" Craig roared, making Lisia's mom flinch. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN!" She screeched. Craig felt his anger snap again. "What do you mean... WHAT DO YOU MEAN!" Craig roared. "YOU YELLED AT YOUR AT OWN DAUGHTER, AND FOR WHAT! BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO BE HERSELF!" Craig screamed.

"WHY SHOULD I LET HER!" She yelled right back. "YOU BLASTING IMBECLE! ILL LET YOU THINK ABOUT HOW EVIL THAT SOUNDS!" Craig said. He took a deep breathe and left the room, still outraged.

He instantly dashed to the park, Nya agreed to talk with Lisia's mom while Craig tried to look for Lisia. He instantly tried the park, but she wasn't there. An idea struck him and without thinking. He screamed.

"CRESCENT, USE RAZOR WIND!"

...

Lisia was hurt, not just hurt beyond recognition. She couldn't believe how mad her mom got and she thought of Craig. She stopped once she realized Craig's Absol had followed her.

She sat down and thought. "I can't believe my mother! Yelling at me, attempting to hit Craig? Even though he caught the fist." She added. Crescent looked at her. "I... Just want to be alone from her." Suddenly there was a large sound, saying something about razor wind.

Crescent looked up and threw a razor wind up, confusing Lisia. "It was Craig wasn't it." She asked. Crescent nodded and charged another razor wind.

...

Craig saw a large beam in the air and he ran as fast as he could, making quite a mess behind him. He ran into an alleyway and found Crescent next to Lisia. "Lisia?" Craig asked hesitantly. She looked up, eyes red. "I'm sorry for how my mom acted." She said. "It's a'ight." Craig said. Craig sat next to Lisia and sighed.

"Is you're mother always like that though?" He asked. She turned to him and nodded. "Most of the time, but she was worse than normal." She said. "Why was that exactly?" Craig asked. "I don't know... You're the first person that actually saw her that wasn't me, and I guess when my mother heard that I wanted to go on a journey I guess she just snapped." Lisia said.

"Ah, I see." Craig said. Lisia smiled and looked up. "Hey, are you feeling alright though?" He asked. "I guess I'm still a little sad, and..." She started to tear up. "Stop." Craig said. Lisia looked at him surprised. Craig got up and stretched. "Cmon, let's head back. I gave her a small talk." Craig said. He chuckled lightly and Lisia felt a little better.

"Cmon Crescent, we're heading back!" He said quickly. "Absol." Crescent muttered.

They quickly made their way to the room, a crowd following them. "Ready?" Craig asked. "Ready." Lisia said taking a deep breathe. They opened the door and gasped.

Lidia dashed inside and looked at the wreckage. "Ali!" She said. She threw a pokeball and an Altaria appeared. Craig closed the door so no one could look inside. "What happened!" Craig said. It was a mess, a TV cut solidly in half, couch torn into shreds, the walls torn and peeled, there was even a small fire in the corner. Craig quickly put it out.

"Ali, look in the other rooms." Lisia said. The Altaria nodded and dashed into the other rooms. "Hey! Where are our moms." Craig shouted. He ran into the room and screamed. He dashed back and stared at Lisia. "Whhaaaatt happened." She sputtered. "It's better if you see yourself." Craig said. "Cmon, call your Altaria."

She called her Altaria and they stepped in the room. Nya was laying down, unnaturally still. Lisia's mom was in the corner shaking with fear. Craig kneeled by her mother and checked her pulse. Craig felt tears well up. "Is she okay." Lisia asked. Craig stood up and shook his head.

"She's dead." Craig said. Lisia gasped. "I'm so sorry!" She shouted. "Don't be." Craig said, he walked to her and and picked her up. "What happened." Craig said. "Why should I tell you!" She snarled, still shaking. "For crying out loud just tell him!" Lisia suddenly snapped.

Her mother then looked at her with a surprised look and sighed. "It was the 13." She said. "They left you this." She said giving his something covered in a leather scabbard. He took it with shaking hands and put it on his belt. "The 13..." Craig said. He turned to a broken window.

He sighed and went to his mother. He felt her, hoping he would find out what was wrong. But he found no wounds, nor heat or cold. "What happened!" He roared. "THIS IS RIDICULOUS! FIRST MY DAD NOW MY MOM!" Craig shouted. He sat down and covered his face. Crescent walked to him and licked him. Craig just sat there.

He then got up his face a mask of stone. "To my family." He said. He put the scabbard in front of him and puled out an object from the scabbard.

It was a faintly blue sword, it had puffs around the handle, like a rapier. It swiveled around like a breeze with to the top, were it was coved it a large puff, getting out like a spike. He held it up and gasped.

His eyes flashed as memories not of his own passed through him. A scream of pain, and a hallow, so hallow feeling. He was brought back and the sword faded. "Are you alright!" Lisia said. "yes." Craig said in a faint whisper.

He looked up at Lisia's mom. "I'm leaving. I'm going on a journey to get the badges and avenge my mother." He said what such force. "But I can't do it alone." He said turning to Lisia. Lisia's mom instantly stood up. "Not a chance." She shrilled. "And I suppose you can stop her, like you did her whole life!" Craig retorted.

That made her stop. She put on a grown and realized he was right, all her life she had kept Lisia from doing what she wanted, without regard to what she actually wanted. But she still shook her head. "I can't allow it." "You're right." Craig said surprising her. "But she can, it's her choice, not yours." Craig said.

"No! I won't let you!" She screamed. She picked up a shard sheet of metal from the ground and jumped to Craig, bringing it down. Craig turned and narrowed hairs eyes. He brought his hand up and the sword appeared. Metal on metal produced a clang and Craig felt time slow down. "Block, kick under, fall back." The commands fell through his head. He kicked underneath and stepped back.

...

Lisia could not believe how fast Craig was. One moment he was blocking and another moment he was back. Her mom was thrown back and she fell over. Craig's sword dissapeared and he sighed. "I'm sorry." He said to Lisia. She smiled and tilts her head. "It's alright, and yes." She said. Craig looked slightly confused.

"I'll join you on your journey."

...

So they traveled back to Craig's new house and decided to rest for the night. Crescent looked at Craig with crazed eyes. Craig formed his sword and stared at it. Lisia walked in and chuckled. "Hey, that sword reminds me of Ali." She got a pokeball and threw it. The Altaria, Ali, appeared and looked at Craig. It squeaked something and spread its wings.

Craig then yawned. "I'm pretty tired, let's get some sleep." He said. "... Alright." Lisia said. She got and walked to the guest room. Craig's sword dissapeared and the layed down on his bed.

"So the journey begins!"

...

Lisia walked into the bathroom and looked at herself. She suddenly smiled as she realized she was finally going on a journey. She left and jumped on the bed, saying good-night to Ali.

"Thank you Craig."
