None of them liked cases involving kids. So in the time when the Mission was meant to be empty and at peace Hetty and her Alpha team sat hunch at their desks, Nell and Eric leaning silently against Sam and Kensi's desks…Deeks looked over at Kensi, hoping that she had a way of cheering the team up. When he caught her eye he tilted his head.
She knew what he was silently asking her, she had an idea…that would involve alcohol and music… suddenly Deeks saw a huge smile on her face as she stood up and ran to Hetty's office. A few minute later she came back with Hetty in tow and alcohol in hand. "To the gym you guys, we are going to wash this day away," Hetty said, Deeks was up already following Kensi, not needing his boss to tell him to follow his partner.
"So what are you going to do?" he asks her. when she looked at him he saw the determination and the ipod in her hand…connecting the dots he smiled widely, he always loved when she would sing, something he rarely got to hear, the team never. "Are you sure?"
She looks at the team, glumly walking into the gym and nodded. "They need to forget the day, and while you say my voice makes you forget everything, maybe I can help them…" she took his hand and squeezed.
"God I love you."
"I love you too, no go pass around the drinks while Hetty helps me with this."
While Deeks passed out the drinks as he was told the team asked him what Kensi was doing. "She is going to cheer you guys up."
"No offense to Kensi but I do not think whatever she has planned will work, Deeks. Today was just one of those days." Sam says sadly before kicking back his drink.
"Trust me on this one Sam, it always helps me after a rough case." He said, hinting at his advanced relationship with the female agent. He turned to her as she walks towards them, a smile plastered on her face. she grabs his hand and pulls him to the empty gym floor just as the music began…
She chose one of his favorite songs…the way her voice rang out every time she sang it reminded him just how much this amazing woman loved him…chose him…

It started out slow her hand on my cheek, the tempo slowly rising, she held both of my hands as she threw her head back and lost herself within the music. The team put their glasses down and watched, shocked at the display of affection and her voice…

She let go of my hands as she swayed with the melody, the team watching her, smiles adorning their faces as they too began to sway. The increasing of the melody was hard not to dance to. Deeks merely stood there watching as Kensi's voice ebbed the tension from her teams shoulders, even Hetty seems entranced

Unknowingly the team danced along to a song that near perfectly describe him and Kensi, they both had darkness in them, aliases and pasts they would rather let die than talk about…but in that darkness they had found each other…fell in love with each other

The song slowed as she walked to him, her eyes never leaving Deeks'…the team still swayed but then on the turn of a dime the pace picked up. She reached for her boyfriend's hands and dragged him onto their makeshift dance floor. He moved behind her and swayed out of tune as she continued to sing to the music, he wrapped his arms around her feeling the way her chest rose and fell with each enchanting breath…

The next song started, giving Kensi a breather, but the team seemed to relax into the music. "Well you did it Kens…you made them smile…"
She turned around in his arms, her hands gripping them tightly. "Well, I mostly just wanted to see you smile Marty…" and he did just that.
"You are amazing Kens…"
"I know." He couldn't help but laugh but it was cut short when she kissed him. He pulled back a little.
"What about the team?"
"I do not care, I want them to know that I can make you smile…"
