Before the chapter stars, I would like to say a few things. One, thank you so much for all the amazing feedback, I really appreciate it! Two, I hope no one is confused by the title of this story. The girls were not actually switched when they were born. I just thought it would be a fun title, considering how it seems as they were.

And the third and last thing, my very good friend has been helping me on this story the entire time, and I keep forgetting to credit her. Almost all of Jade's lines are from her and I couldn't be more appreciative of her. If you have a Tumblr, go follow her! Her URL is elizabethgilies. Thank you, and on with the story! :)

How they got into this situation, neither of them knew. One minute Jade was dropping Tori off at her Venice Beach home after their dinner where they had discussed their daughters (for only ten minutes, then it became about catching up), then the next they were heavily kissing at her front door. Tori shut her eyes tightly as she felt Jade lower her kisses down to her neck before pulling away completely and breathlessly.

"Yknow, Vi is with Beck for the weekend." she whispered, looking deeply into Tori's eyes, making her slowly smile.

"Hazel is a really deep sleeper." Tori mumbled, leaning in and kissing her once more, "She could sleep through a war," before turning and unlocking her door quickly, gripping Jade's hand and pulling her into the beach house with a seductive grin.

Constant ringing of her doorbell made Tori run down her stairs in a hurry, tying her robe tightly around her waist and desperately trying to tame her hair. Taking a deep breath, she pulled open her door and came face to face with her best friend. "Hey Andre, what's up?" She smiled at him, trying not to let him see into the house. She knew Jade was going to descend down the stairs any minute now.

Andre smiled at her, holding the usual two cups of coffee for the both of them. "Hey chica." he paused as he took in her appearance and his smile grew into a smirk. "You looked like you had a good night." He chuckled pervertedly and stepped into her house, pushing past her just as Jade came down the stairs.

His eyes widened for a moment before a mix of a grin and a smirk appeared on his lips at his old classmate, who froze at the sight of him. "Hey Jade," he gave his trademark chuckle at her appearance; messy hair, wrinkled clothes and the very obvious hickey right above her chest.

Jade stared at him for a moment then looked away, speaking confidently as she walked to the front door clutching her flannel shirt. "Harris."

Tori's cheeks were tinted a dark red as Andre looked at her and smirked at the same hickey that resided on her neck. She quickly clasped her hand on it before pulling her hair over to cover it. "Uhm, I'll walk you out Jade." She mumbled and followed after the West girl, shutting the front door behind her and shielding them from Andre's eyes.

Jade felt Tori's eyes on her as she pulled her shirt on over her tank top and buttoned it up before shoving her hands into her front pockets and giving the half Latina a smirk. "Thanks for having me over. I'll have to return the favor."

Tori smiled at her and tucked a hair behind her ear. "It was my pleasure," her eyes twinkled as Jade laughed at her innuendo. "I'll see you tonight," she leaned in and gave her a kiss before watching her walk to her car and get in. She waited until Jade's BMW was halfway down the street before entering her house once more and walking into the kitchen where Andre was waiting for her.

She didn't say a word, instead picking up the coffee he brought over and pouring it into her favorite mug then placing it into the microwave to heat up.

"So," Andre chuckled once again, sitting at the counter. "How was your date with Jade?"

Tori rolled her eyes, watching the mug move in circles in the microwave. "It was not a date." she insisted, realizing how stupid she sounded when she pulled the mug out and turned around, seeing his bewildered face.

"Tor, she just left your house at seven in the morning with sex hair. It was a date."

Tori only blushed and raised her mug to her lips, quickly taking a sip of her coffee as he kept talking with his chuckle that she began to despise.

"Heh, I remember the first time I saw you with that hair. Remember, it was in high school. You came down at three am to yell at me and you had the wildest sex ha—"

"Andre! I get it!" she exclaimed and then a thought popped into her mind as she remembered the previous afternoon. She pursed her lips and lowered her coffee mug, quirking an eyebrow at him, "Onto a more important subject." her eyes narrowed.

"In what world did you think it was a good idea to let my fifteen year old daughter drive your car without a license?"

Andre paused for a moment, trying to think of a good excuse but sadly came up short. "Well uh.. you know.." he chuckled nervously, rubbing his neck. "She's a very persuasive girl and.. uh.." he looked at her angry face and slowly stood, clearing his throat as he backed away towards the basement door. "I'll see you later," he mumbled and flung open the door, running down the stairs and leaving his friend alone.

"Andre!"

"Hazel - did you take my black top again?" A flustered Tori appeared in her daughters doorway, looking at the texting teenager as she laid in her bed.

"Which one?" her daughter replied, not taking her eyes off her screen as she typed speedily.

Tori sighed in frustration. "The one with the lace sleeves."

Hazel glanced up at her mother then looked back at her phone. "In my bottom drawer." her dark brown eyes followed Tori as she moved to her dark purple drawer, tugging open the last drawer and pulling out her top. "Why?" She asked curiously, sitting up.

Her mother only hummed in thought for a moment, moving towards her bedroom door. "I need to pack it."

The teens eyebrows shot to her hairline as Tori left her bedroom and she quickly dropped her Pearphone onto her bed and followed her to the master bedroom. "Pack it? Where are you going?" she asked, crossing her arms as her eyes landed on the small suitcase that sat on her mothers bed.

Tori didn't look at her as she folded the piece of clothing and placed it in the bag. "I have a.. business trip, and I won't be back until Monday morning."

Hazel watched her curiously, slowly smirking. "So.. You're leaving me home alone for the weekend?"

Her mother laughed out loud as if she made the funniest joke in the world and her smirk fell. "In your dreams, sweetie. You're grounded, remember?"

With a roll of her eyes, Hazel sighed. "Am I staying with Nana and Pops?"

"Nope."

Slowly frowning, Hazel tried guessing again. "Is uncle Dre watching me?"

That made her mother let out a very unladylike snort, "Ha, after he let you drive his car? Guess again." when she just gave her a confused look and shrug, Tori smiled sweetly at her daughter. "Your aunt Trina is coming to stay with you for the weekend."

Practically all the color drained from Hazel's tan face as she stared at her mother, horrified. This was ten times worse then anything Tori could've done to her. "Wait.. WHAT?!" she screeched, but didn't receive a response from her mother so she quickly jumped into a very dramatic monologue.

"Mom, do you hate me? Seriously, do you? 'Cause if you do just say so. It'll be easier to get your point across!"

Tori only laughed wholeheartedly at her dramatic daughter. "Aw baby girl," She cupped her cheek and gave her a sweet smile. "I don't hate you. It'll be good for you and your aunt to spend time some alone time together, especially without technology getting in the way." she said simply, going back to packing her overnight bag as her daughter's eyes bulged out of her head and she almost screamed.

"No-NO TECHNOLOGY? You really hate me. You want to see me suffer."

Tori sighed and rolled her eyes, "You're so dramatic. You remind me of—" she stopped herself as her raven haired 'friend' popped into her mind and she smiled a little, "nevermind." she cleared her throat and looked sternly at Hazel. "No technology. Aunt Trina is coming over."

Hazel momentarily forgot about her punishment, instead focusing on her mothers little almost slip up. "You're not talking about that chick we met at JetBrew, right?"

"Hm, what was that?"

"I don't remind you of that woman from JetBrew, right?"

"What?"

Hazel groaned in irritation and Tori smirked to herself at her outburst. "Ugh, Mom!"

"So there have been rumors that you and Jade West are dating?" Nancy O'Dell asked Tori during her interview for Access Hollywood a few short weeks later. Tori gave a little laugh as she pushed her chocolate hair behind her shoulder and crossed her legs.

"Not dating Nancy," she said coyly, "We're only friends." Nancy nodded but still looked unconvinced (of course she is) and the topic was dropped.

Thirty minutes later, Tori was leaving the studio when her cellphone rang. She looked at the caller ID and smiled when she saw that it was Jade.

"Hello?" she said while unlocking her car and getting into the driver's seat.

"Only friends huh?" she asked her making Tori giggle as she rolled her eyes and started the car.

"What did you want me to say?" she retorted closing her door and putting the gear in reverse.

"I don't know… how would you actually describe a relationship where we make out on your couch ever five minutes or so when I was there a few days ago?" Jade asked innocently and Tori nearly floored the gas pedal as she blushed a deep crimson.

"Hello?" Jade asked impatiently after not hearing a response. Tori cleared her throat and tried to think straight. The way she asked about their previous activity stirred her and she was reliving the memory of it in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"Well, definitely not friends. But I'm not a kiss and tell person, Ms. West." Tori told her and heard her chuckle at the other end of the line as she pulled out of the parking lot.

"So if not friends, what then?" she asked her curiously. Tori pretended to give it a thought.

"I don't know, you tell me," she told her playfully and heard her laugh.

"You're good," she said, "So I'll see you tonight for dinner? Violet is anxious about meeting you."

Tori bit her lip as she stopped at a red light. "Yeah, tonight. I can't wait to meet her." She breathed out quietly, feeling the nerves settle in her stomach.

"Tor — have you forgotten how well I know you? You shouldn't be nervous, Vi is going to love you." Jade reassured her.

"I know I shouldn't be but I can't help it," Tori sighed, shaking her head. "Listen, I should hang up before I get into a wreck. I'm picking up a few things at the store before coming over."

"Alright, see you soon then. We both can't wait to see you." The phone went dead and Tori just smiled to herself as she continued her drive to the supermarket.

Violet sighed in relief as she checked the last thing off her list, smiling in satisfaction. "Just the flowers left," she murmured, sending a text to her dad, letting him know she was finished. She pushed her cart to the stores selection of flowers and smiled brightly seeing only one bouquet of roses left.

She quickly reached for it only for someone else to reach for the exact same one. She blushed and pulled her hand back, politely offering it to the older woman. "Go ahead,"

"Oh, no its okay, you had it first." the woman smiled at her, her brown eyes sparkling beautifully against her tan skin. "You can take it."

Violet smiled sheepishly, "Are you sure?" at the woman's nod, she smiled gratefully, placing the bouquet in her cart. "Thank you." She looked at her with a nervous twinkle in her eyes. "I'm meeting my mothers girlfriend tonight, and I'm cooking her dinner. I'm really nervous. I just want everything to be perfect," she sighed heavily.

The tan woman smiled at her softly. "With how much you're putting into it, I'm sure it will be. I'm actually meeting my girlfriends daughter tonight for the first time, too. I'm a wreck." She laughed nervously, looking at the flowers again. "I want to take some flowers for the both of them, I'm not sure which though."

Violet looked at the selection, humming in thought before looking back at her new friend. "Well, how old is her daughter?"

"Fifteen."

With a smile, Violet plucked a bouquet of daises from its home and looked at her, "Well, I personally love daises, I'm sure your girlfriends daughter would too. And, if I was buying flowers for my significant other, I'd buy white roses." She picked up a bouquet of them and handed both to the grinning woman. "I'm sure they'll love it. And I'm sure her daughter will love you."

"Thank you so much! I really appreciate it," the young woman gushed, placing the two bouquets in her basket before smiling at the teenager. "I'm Tori, by the way."

Violet grinned at her and began to reply, "I'm—" before her phone buzzed in her pocket and she pulled it out, gasping at the time and the text she got from her father, saying he was outside. "gonna be late! Thanks again Tori, it was really nice meeting you!" she quickly ran off with her cart to go pay, leaving a bewildered and laughing Tori behind.

"Where were you!" Hazel's supposedly cool, calm and collected question turned out to be a yell filled with anger. Tori backed away suddenly understanding why her daughter was angry. She had just gotten home from the store and having a quick lunch with Andre afterwards.

"Hey, I'm sorry I didn't leave a note… but I think you deserve to know where I've been." Hazel followed her mother to the kitchen and watched as she put the flowers in water before the two sat at the breakfast nook together.

"What do you think of a new mother?"

Hazel's eyes bugged out at the question for two reasons; one: that question was meant for five year olds! Two: a new mother?! Her mother has been seeing someone?! She saw the signs but didn't actually notice them leading to sub-question two: how come her mother got a date whilst nobody asked her out yet? She was Hazel freaking Vega for hell's sake! Lost in her own thoughts, Hazel momentarily forgot about answering her mother who was now looking at her with sadness trying not to presume that her daughter will say 'I don't want a new mother' or something like that.

"Hazel?" Tori asked quietly breaking her daughter's thoughts of strangling her stalker.

"Yeah? Oh, uhm, who's the girl?" she asked politely, very surprising of her.

"Jade," her mother answered conveniently leaving out her surname, using her daughter's current disposition of confusion to omit certain details that would lead her to find out that her date was actually her rival's mothers.

"Oh okay – are you engaged?" Hazel asked calmly though inside she was starting to crumble away. She was hurt that her mother dated behind her back, and was now engaged without her even knowing her…

"No, not yet. I'm just asking you because she's having dinner with us next week.. So you'll meet her." Tori smiled and Hazel was relieved, but there was something else nagging her. "I'm actually going to have dinner with her tonight, too."

"How come you didn't tell me you were dating?!" she suddenly blurted.

"Well, I want to know if she's worth your attention, honey. I'm just making sure she's no freak, creep, bastard, pervert, retard…" the list went on.

"Like all the others that came before her." Hazel supplied making her mother laugh.

"Yep."
