To recap on what happened on the last chapter, Donnie finally told Master Splinter what he was doing in the junkyard that fateful night and Don spars Raph.
This chapter is when the turtles train and Donnie gets in trouble. Please, no flames. And I'm very sorry for the long wait, but for those who are in high school or passed it already, but you guys know how hard grade 10 could be. Plus, I had this one short story that took like two weeks, etc. I'VE BEEN BUSY! BUT IT'S CHRISTMAS BREAK! NOW I HAVE TIME!
Disclaimer: I do not own TMNT, but I wished I did.
Btw, when I do a number, a dash, another number, then ft, then method of attack; the first number is the position from a clock, the second number plus ft shows the distance. Ex – 3-5ft-Sais = exactly to the right, five feet away, wielding close combat weapon.

A minute later, Don came out, and started searching for Raph. He really needed to spar. After stumbling for a little bit, he was finally able to Raph, already in the dojo.
"Hey, Raph, I need a sparring partner, you up for it?" Donnie asked.
"You're on bro! Let's see where your skill is at, weapon or hand spar?" Raph inquired excitedly.
"Hand spar, been doing a lot of weapons training lately, besides, Master Splinter will be weapons training with us later, and tomorrow morning will be stealth training; something that I'm really good at." Don said. "So let's begin."
Now
"You ready?" Raph asked, getting into position.
"Yeah, just be a little more gentle than usual, the spots I got shirkened is still a bit tender." Don warned, not wanting to get even more hurt. "But I doubt you care."
"So be careful of injuries, or else get punished, got it." Raph said, hearing the subtle threat in Don's voice.
"Then let's start, shall we?" Don said, starting off with a very fast blitz towards his brother. Then once he got behind Raph, he dropped down to a crouch to sweep him, hitting its mark. Raph quickly fell down on his shell before using that to his advantage.
'When did Don get so fast?!' Raph thought, using his shell to get a good jump kick back onto Donnie-boy… only to miss completely. 'And when did he get so good?!'
"Having trouble there Raphie?" Don smirked; using the nickname Raph hates the most, especially with Mikey saying it. "Or are you just letting me win? I know I said be gentler, but I didn't mean this!"
"ANSWER ME THIS BRAINIAC-" Raph yelled while throwing multiple hits towards said turtle. "-HOW ARE YOU THIS GOOD! YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN LIKE THI—wait… HAVE YOU BEEN USING MY ROOM!"
"No, I haven't actually. Just a few lessons with Sensei is all-" Don stated calmly before throwing a cartwheel kick, knocking Raph away from him. "-And no, I haven't been like this before and was holding back, but being blind does have a few advantages."
Once said, the match continued without words at all, just two brothers in a 'semi' nice match.
24.673 minutes later
"And you lose fair and square." Don said straddling a tired Raph's shell pinning his arm behind him. "Thanks for the match, bro."
Don got off of him and offered his hand, with Raph grumbling about the match not being in his favour and how he had lost, quite frankly, to his pacifist younger brother, who hated to fight.
"It was a good fight, I admit, but that's the last time you win against me!" Raph stated loudly, but he knew Don knew he wasn't completely serious. They started to walk out of the dojo, with Don behind Raph, when Raph stopped walking, making Donnie bump right into him.
"Hey! What gives Raph!" Don said startled.
"SHHH! Quiet! I'm listening." Raph whispered.
So Don listened, trying to hear what Raph could hear, or to be exact, what he couldn't hear. The lair was dead quiet. Not a sound to be heard by anyone. Something was wrong; the lair was never this quiet, even with everyone sleeping.
Next thing Don knew, the lights went out (in Dons case, got even darker), and he could no longer feel Raph's presence. On instinct, Don reached for his Bo Staff, only to remember it was still on the dojo floor, where it landed during the match. 'Crud, I'm defenceless until I can get to my weapon. Not. Good.' Don thought, slowly making his way back into the darkened dojo, on the defence.
'Just breathe Donatello…' Don mentally scolded himself. 'Master Splinter prepared us for scenarios like this. Just be completely still, and listen.'
Don repeated this to himself until he finally came to his beloved weapon. He picked it up, got into his stance, and listened. Now he could sense around twenty one people, four of them he knew were his family. And from the lack of struggle, Don knew they were knocked unconscious, so he had to be careful.
CHING!
'There.' Don struck the oncoming foot soldier from his position right beside him, getting a Bo strike to the gut; stopping the sword attack.
Immediately after that, five more came towards him. '2-5ft-Sais, 5-7ft-Sword, 8-12ft-Nunchuckus, 10-6ft-None, 12-9ft-Bo.' Don calculated within a few seconds, getting in a position. '2 – 10 – 5 – 12 – 8.' Don quickly spun to hit the first guy with the Sais, hitting the Sais right out of his hands, and then plunging the Bo straight onto their foot, then an upper slice to the head. Right after, Don spun to meet the guy going in with nothing, so with a quick spin around, Don struck the opponent in the spine, paralyzing him for a few hours. That gave him time to turn around to block both a Bo strike and a sword strike (the length of the Bo gives that attacker distance) in quick secession. Don then ducked for a sweep, striking both of them perfectly, making them collapse. This gave Don just enough to block the incoming swing from the nunchucku wielder, giving Don the opening to get a strike to the throat on the pressure points, knocking him out.
'That's six down, plus the four that are probably guarding my family, making ten incapable; leaving me only eleven left to deal with.' Don thought, getting into stance quickly again, to duck under two Sansetsukon's (three piece Bo) aiming for his head from behind, forcing him to move towards three more foot soldiers, each wielding Kusari-Gama (chained kamas), all aiming different parts. Don was able to dodge two of the three strikes using his Bo, but the one aiming for if feet got in. Luckily Don was quick thinking and swung his Bo around, making the chains release – along with the ninjas attached – aimed straight forward to all the other ninjas around, taking them all out. This gave Don time to wiggle out, re-stance, and prepare.
'Fifteen down, six left, unless the four with family join, then eleven down, ten left. No problem.' Don calculated the two outcomes, but was interrupted by a voice he knew all too well, the Shredder.
"How did you find the lair? I designed it to be only recognized by family." Don quickly spun in the direction of the Shredder's voice.
"What? You mean you can't tell?" This puzzled Don, what didn't he get? But his question was answered cryptically next. "Since you clearly can't tell, I'll give you a hint. Everything you see – or know – has been done before." And with that said, the battle resumed.
"Don? Come on bro, wake up. BRO! DONNIE, WAKE UP!" Raph yelled, shaking his brother violently, trying to wake him up from his state of sudden unconsciousness. Don was just fine up until a few minutes ago, when Don went to fetch his Bo after remembering when leaving that it was tossed over there.
Raph had stayed where he was, watching his bro, and waiting for him to return, when Don had collapsed. He had instantly run over to his fallen brother to see if he was alright, when he started having random spasm attacks. 'His unconsciousness is affecting his real body.' Raph thought, knowing because it's happened before when they were younger, and don suffered from very bad nightmares, making him stay awake all night and day, a habit that stayed even now.
Raph knew what needed to be done, but he needed his family's help, but he didn't know where they were. So he did the only thing he could think of, try to wake Don up from the inside of his nightmare, or whatever that was acting like one.
But when Don didn't respond after a few minutes, he had called his families and April's shell cells, telling them that Donnie was in trouble, then set himself to what he currently doing, yelling.
A few minutes later, his family and April came rushing in, instantly going to Don's side, but was later shooed away from Splinter, tending to Don's psyche.
'What did he mean that this has happened before? The Shredder hasn't invaded us yet, I make sure of that every day.' Don thought, blocking many incoming attacks. 'And where are all these new soldiers coming from?'
It was then that he clued in, the Mystics. They had sent him into another nightmare faze. 'But when? When did I become so unaware that they were able to invade again? Come on Brainiac, THINK!' Don mentally yelled at himself. But he knew to think, he had to stop concentrating on the not real soldiers attacking, and let them become his intangible enemies inside his head.
Once accomplished, he thought long and hard, trying to come up with answers. 'Did this happen when I was fighting Raph? Before I fought him, or after? What was real, and what is my imagination? I just don't have those answers.' Don sighed, giving in, but only for now.
Well here is the sixteenth chapter of 'I Can't See', hoped you enjoyed it and I will start working on the seventeenth chapter and hopefully get it uploaded by the end of the month. If not, review saying that I need to hurry. I won't hold it against you. PLEASE REVIEW!
P.S – it has been six months since Don has been blind just so you know if anybody out there got confused. Or maybe a little more than that, I think I forgot to include some days.
Until then, bye.
