Chapter 87

Crow and Brave walked into the house to see Blister and Aero helping the kids line up the boxes by the door and label them. The first thing Crow did was introduce, Blister, Aero, and all the kids. Brave recognized a handful of them from the race. The ones he remembered the most were Rally and the twins, Leo and Luna…

Rally looked frantically around. Moments ago, he had lost sight of Leo and Luna in the crowd. He was now pushing his way through calling out to his friends. How could've I lost them, Rally thought scanning for anything familiar.

"Are you lost?" Came the voice.

Rally jumped out of shock. He turned his head to see Brave standing there with concern in his eyes.

A nervous look made its way to Rally's face as he fidgeted. "Well … sort of. I'm looking for my two friends Luna and Leo. We were going to find Yusei, but we ended up being separated."

Brave nodded his head. "Don't worry, I'll help you find Yusei."

Rally let out a sigh of relief and took Brave's offered hand. They made their way through the crowd, looking for any sign of Yusei.

"So, what's your name?" Brave asked, making light conversation.

"My name is Rally," the boy answered. "You're Brave … from Team Ragnarok, right?"

"Yep!" He said cheerfully. It was then they spotted Yusei talking to Team Unicorn. Brave let go of Rally's hand and watched him run over. Brave watched with a smile, he had to admit that Rally was cute.

"Yusei!" Rally called out.

Jean, Breo,Andore, and Yusei turned their heads to see Rally running toward them. Yusei looked past Rally to see Brave making his way over. Team Unicorn straightened up when they saw him. Brave never understood why people acted so tense around him, but he ignored the feeling and gave them all a respectful nod.

Rally pulled away from Yusei after he hugged him and turned to face Brave. "Thank you for helping me out."

Brave chuckled and knelt in front of Rally. "No problem. Just don't go wandering off. A place like this is not as safe as it appears."

"Rally!" Came Leo's voice. They turned their heads to see the twins making their way towards them. Brave rose to his feet. Rally fidgeted a little when he saw the scowl on Leo's face. "There you are! Luna and I thought you were kidnapped!"

"I'm sorry," Rally murmured, adjusting his shawl.

Brave continued to watch for a few more moments, before he decided to make his way back to the pit stop.

"Why don't you two go ahead," Crow spoke up, snapping Brave out of his memories. The red head was talking to Blister and Aero.

"Are you sure?" Aero inquired.

"I'm sure," Crow reassured, winking the couple.

Brave watched the kids escort Aero and Blister out the door. Brave had to admit the whole scene was adorable, and watching how Crow was interacting with Aero and Blister, there was something going on between the two.

"Thanks for helping me," Crow said, snapping Brave out of this musing. The two made their way into the kitchen to see some boxes and newspapers ready for plates and bowls. "It will give Blister and Aero time to themselves after they've been looking after the kids for a while."

"Giving them time to go out on dates, and mess around in bed?" Brave joked, opening a cupboard and carefully taking a stack of plates, bring them to the table.

"Got the gaydar going on?" Crow joked back. He knew better than to tease about Blister and Aero's relationship, but he couldn't help himself.

"What's gaydar?"

They both turned their heads to see Leo standing there, looking confused. This prompted Crow and Brave to glance at each other, wondering how they were going to explain it a child.

"Is it something contagious?"

Yusei and Jack walked into Martha's hospital room to see that it was buzzing with activity. Akiza and a few other nurses were carefully moving Martha from her bed to a gurney. The first thing Yusei did was hug Martha after she was settled in.

"How are the kids ... and where is your new friend?" Martha asked, noticing that Bruno wasn't with them.

"Crow and Brave are taking care of the kids," Yusei answers about the kids, hoping that Martha wouldn't ask about Bruno, as he pulled away. "But you're looking better."

"I do want to get out of here," Martha said. Everyone nodded their heads and followed the nurses to the door.

Dorothy's house was close to a park, a school, and a coffee shop. This is a good spot, Yusei thought, taking everything in. Jack was too, but he focused more on the coffee shop. He veered his motorcycle in the direction, not even caring if he was scolded later.

Yusei followed the others inside the house. He was astounded how big the layout was. There were enough rooms for the kids and one room just for Martha.

Yusei opened the door and was amazed. The walls were painted the same color as her own room; light brown, and all her furniture had been moved from the old place to her new place, except for having a new bed.

Akiza and the other nurses set right to work, getting Martha into her bed, making sure she was comfortable.

"The kids will like it here," Jack said, walking in. He was holding a mug in his hand.

"Your reason for that better not because of the coffee shop across the street," Marth scolded lightly, a hint of humor in her voice, "my feelings would definitely be hurt, including the kids!"

"Hey! I resent that remark!" Jack retorted, "I just wanted to check out the coffee shop! That's all!"

Yusei rolled his eyes as everyone around the room laughed at Jack's self-defense.

"We do need to get going," Yusei said, pulling up the covers. "I'll be back later."

"When is the next race?" Martha asked.

"Team New World doesn't have a third rider," Yusei explained,"when that's announced, the last race start."

"Good luck."
