A second Chance
Chapter 7 - 30, 000 feet.
Someone once said that;
When you one day realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible. - Nora Ephron
Truth is, you really do. The question is, how to start it. Luckily for Sam Swarek, he had it all figured out. He just really, really hoped that she wouldn`t turn him down. And deep down - he knew she wouldn`t. Not in a million years. Or so.
Gently, he lowered himself down on their bed. He didn`t want to wake her up. Not yet, because he loved to watch her sleep. Loved to look down on her calm, sleeping body, who once in a while would shift, or reposition. Sometimes her lips would pull into a smile, still asleep. And every time, he would place soft kisses from her chest and up.
Halfway up to her lips, she would wake up and realize that it wasn`t a dream, and she would smile against his lips when they met hers. And every time, she was reminded of how utterly lucky she was.
"Mmm. Hi", she almost whispered against his lips.
"Happy birthday beautiful." He was half way on top of her, taking in her amazing smell. "I`ve got something for you", he said nudging their noses together like a pair of children.
"Really? And what would that be?", she curiously asked as she pulled him even closer. Not wanting to let go just yet.
Thank god they had the day off together! Because this... was not something she was ready for to be over.
He kissed her nose and reached for a oblong box wrapped in pink paper. "This is the first one. Open it", he said against her lips before slightly pulling away.
She raised her eyebrows, and started unwrapping it. Once out of its wrapping, she had a what seemed to be a sunglass case in her hand. She slowly opened the case and spotted a pretty damn good looking pair of Oakley's.
"Oh my god! You bought me Oakley`s?"
"I sure did. And-", he started. "They will go great with this". He gave her an envelope, waiting for her to discover what was in it, and he felt his heart bubble as soon as he saw the look on her face when she held two flight tickets to Greece in her hands.
He knew they had a couple of weeks worth of vacation time they had yet used, and after clearing it with Frank, he bought tickets to Santorini, Greece.
"You...we`re going on vacation? Together? As in you and me in a whole other country... Alone?"
Wow! She didn`t see that one coming. Last time she purposed something similar - when Traci and Jerry was supposed to get married, he didn`t want to hear of it. Truth is - flying scared the crap out of him.
"Yes, Andy. You and me. Alone in Greece. What do say? Want to go on a vacation with me?", he smirked.
"Hell yes! Thank you so much! I love you, I love you, I love you!". She threw herself at him just in time for him to catch her.
"I know you do. And I love you too".
"But I thought you hated flying?"
"I do, I did. But I`m willing to sacrifice a whole lot if it means I get to be with you Andy. Know that. I`ll do everything for you. For us".
"How on earth can I ever repay you for that?", she smirked sneaking her arms around his neck. He hoisted her up so she could hook her legs around his waist and he pushed them down on the bed.
"Oh, I`m sure we can find a way".
"I still can`t believe you managed to get Sam Swarek on a airplane McNally", Oliver said as he made his way towards the couple a couple of days later.
Frank Best had just said his 'serve and protect', and Sam had (his) Andy (almost) pinned up against a wall in the hallway outside parade room. He just wanted to kiss her goodbye before she hit the streets.
When neither of the lovebirds seemed to notice his presence, he tried a different approach. The Oliver Shaw way.
"Would you stop exchanging body fluids for one second?"
Sam reluctantly pulled apart from Andy. "What do you want Oliver? Can`t you see I`m in the middle of something here?", Sam barked at his best friend in a friendly tone.
"Oh, come on Sammy. I know you got plenty this morning. Come one try keeping it a little PG would you?"
"Oliver!", Andy silently yelled. Just a tad embarrasst over the fact that he just had insinuated in front of the whole station, what they in fact had been doing in bed this morning. Twice.
"What? Everybody can figure that out pretty fast guys", Oliver teased.
"And exactly how is that?", Sam asked back.
"Well, when you show up at work with that happy smirk - which by the way you seem to have plastered on your face ever since you guys pulled your shit together, we all know you`ve gotten lucky. Keep up the good work McNally", Oliver laughed as he made his way towards the kitchen area.
Once left to their own devices, Andy turned towards Sam. "What the hell just happened?". He pulled her in for another kiss. "I have no idea. Who cares? He`s right you know".
"Really? That so? That the Swarek way of telling me he is actually happy?", she said against his lips (for what really should be the last kiss. She really, really should go).
"The most. Happy that is..."
"Good. Me too. Happy. Happy is good. We are good".
"That we are".
"And I should probably get to work now... You know catch some bad guys...". Ugh! She really didn`t want to pull apart just yet.
"McNally! Come on! Pull apart from lover boy there. Let`s hit the streets!", Oliver yelled from down the hall, secretly doing the happy man dance inside, knowing his best friend finally got his shit together.
"Be safe. I love you", Sam said against her lips. "I will. Love you too. Later. Lover boy", she smirked as she finally pulled away from his embrace.
"What?", Andy said as she noticed the look Oliver had been giving her for the last fifteen minutes while on the road.
"Nothing. Nothing at all. I`m just happy for you guys. That`s all. I`m finally at peace", he laughed at her.
"Yeah, me too."
"So, should I set aside a date for your wedding anytime soon?"
"Uh, what? No! I really don`t think we`re there yet..."
"No? you sure about that? Because, you already act like a married couple".
"Oliver... I don`t want to rush anything... I mean... if he did ask, I wouldn't say no... It`s just, we`re in such a great place right now, and I don`t want to mess anything up".
"And getting married would do just that?",Oliver asked, still keeping his eyes on the road.
"No, that's not what I mean. I mean... when he asks, I`ll say yes. I just don`t want to bring it up. I want... I want him to ask me by himself, you know".
"I totally get that McNally. And don`t worry. He`ll ask you."
"Would you relax! There is nothing wrong with the plane", Andy whispered, carefully not to draw any attention from the other passengers.
"I know...", he said leaning closer to Andy. "I just don`t like being on a plane. Do you know that we`re thirty thousand feet above walking ground Andy?", he whispered back with the slightest worry in his voice.
"Yes, I`m aware baby... You know... once the lights comes off, I was thinking... you could meet me in the lavatory. I can make you relax.", she said kissing his hand. "And... we could join the Mile High Club... I`ve always wanted to do that", she smirked.
Still, with no response, Andy leaned in further. "If you need me to hold your hand you should just ask me Sam".
"No, I don`t need you to hold my hand... But, you know, you can... If you want to".
She giggled and took his hand in her own. "Don`t worry. Why don`t you close your eyes for a bit? I`ll wake you up when they bring our lunch".
"No, that`s okay... I`m relaxed... All good.", he whispered, just as the lights came off. "In fact... - ", he continued, pulling her in, leaving them only inches apart from each other's lips. "How does one become a member of the mile high club? because I really, really think the club has pretty good benefits... don`t you?"
"Meet me in the back one in five minutes. Nock three times", she said, quickly getting up from her seat.
The grin on his face couldn`t even get off even if he tried washing it off with soap.
Outside the lavatory in the back of the plane, one very excited Swarek knocked three times. When he heard the door being unlocked from the other side, he discreetly looked around, making sure nobody was paying too much attention to him.
Coast clear , he thought before he joined Andy.
"Wow, this space is pretty tight sweetheart", he said once he really saw how small this thing was.
Leaning in against him, Andy said against his lips " I am too". Then he crushed their lips together and not a second too soon, he started yanking her top off. Good thing I wore a skirt today, she thought as she felt a hand crawling up her thighs.
When he pulled her lace panties (that he saw her putting on this morning) to the side, he pushed one finger inside and felt just how wet she really was. "You`re wet sweetheart", he breathed against her lips.
"I know... and I can feel how hard you are right now. Please, don`t make me wait any longer", she begged as she pushed down his unbuttoned jeans and boxers down his legs.
"I won't. Lift up your leg Andy", he whispered, as he helped her with just that. That is exactly when she felt just how hard he was, and not a second later, he thrust himself deep inside her.
"Oh, my god!", she yelled into the hand he was covering her mouth with. Knowing how loud she sometimes would get, that was a smart thing to do - Unless, they wanted the entire plane to hear them fucking each other at thirty thousand feet above ground.
"Fuck", he breathed out as he felt his long wanted (since this morning) orgasm ripping through his body. It didn`t take long before Andy joined his pleasure of the mile high club`s benefit, which they just had joined.
