Alright! We're off to a good start!
A author's note, and two chapters done!
Sweet! Hopefully I can update my other stories tomorrow too, I get off class early Wednesdays, so maybe.
Maybe.
If you haven't seen my other stories, which is only two other, which I'm working on at the moment.
They are both warrior cats. In one includes, sexual content, so, 18 or older please. And in the other involves death.
In all of them, they are both a series which I'm working on, though I want to delete both. But I see people are enjoying it, so I'm trying to keep it alive, though I am tempted to created another story. Maybe with the Legend of Korra? Or Pokemon...
-Originalshipping-
But anyway, let's get on with this chapter.
Snap!
"Fox dung!"
A ruffled hiss made it's way out of a cat's mouth. The profanity drifted across the green leaves of the forest.
"Mouse brained...
Good for nothing.."
More profanities drifted away, and out into the forest. Alerting the birds of the sky, and voles of the ground, that someone was near...
Crack!
"Argh..
I hate being blind.. Even if I am part of the Three..."
A grey mottled tabby stepped out of the bushes.
The bright sunlight flashed itself upon his silky, well groomed fur. The long scar upon his back, glistening of pink, in the refreshing sunlight.
His eyes glazed over with a pale color, his icy blue eyes fulled with irritation and quicken frustration.
"Why can't I just walk somewhere. And NOT trip over something?"
He complained to no one, picking up a few leaves of Marigold and Catmint he had picked up along the way.
The medicine cat had taken a trip outside of Thunderclan's camp. Despite being told not to, by both deputy and leader.
"Don't go out into the woods Jayfeather. It's dangerous by yourself! Who knows what could be out there!"
He mocked his own blood brother. The golden tabby, called Lionblaze.
The strong golden warrior had warned his brother specifically not to go. But as everyone in Thunderclan knows:
There's nothing stopping Jayfeather.
His nose was flooded with the sweet scent of catmint and marigold, Thunderclan's medicine cat didn't realize something was coming his way.
And fast.
Crack!
Thud.
Groan...
The forest erupted with the noise of drumming paws, cracking twigs, a giant thud, and groans and complaints of pain.
"Hey!
Watch where you're going, ya mouse brain!"
The silver tabby instantly snapped, wincing in pain as he felt his paw pop as he tried to stand. Bearing out the pain, he stood, and once again,
he heard the agonizing pop of his paw, yowling in complaints as it complained about the pressure.
Ignoring the constant remarks of his painful paw, he spun around to face the culprit, but got a face full of nothing, but air.
He snorted.
"Weakling.."
He once again bent down to grab his herbs.
Heading back home, he carefully carried the leaves back, as he was preparing his stock with some fresh catmint and marigold.
Before he could even get in a step, small claws dug into his injured paw, earning a wince of pain from the tom.
"Let go of m-"
"Please don't leave me here!"
A small mewl sounded from below him, near his paw. Which means that must be the culprit.
"Please let me stay!"
It sounded again. And from the likes of it, it sounds like a small kit. Barely a moon or two old!
Jayfeather's fur bristled with distrust, but he decided against it. If he left this kit here, it could mean trouble.
This dumb kit could be another clans' and if he left it here, the others might be looking for it, and find it here.
It could mean he would need a lot more marigold for the wounds... In which, he didn't want to waste his time on.
Maybe he should take it back...
"Alright.
I won't leave you."
He meowed, muffled through the sweet, green leaves. He felt the small little claws tighten a little more.
"Thank you! Thank you so much!"
It smiled through his silky fur, and finally let go.
He heard leaves crackle ahead of him as he felt the ground weigh down a bit more. Signalling the kit had sat down.
Now that he had noticed, it was a she-cat. A small one at that. What was she doing here?...
"Now that that's settled. What's your name. I'm Jayfeather, medicine cat of Thunderclan."
He meowed, his chest puffing with pride of his title.
After he, Lionblaze, and Hollyleaf found out Leafpool was their mother, Jayfeather had soon taken over the role of the caretaker of the clan.
And so he has.
"My name is...
Mosskit.
And I'm from..."
The little she-kit trailed off. Mumbling something inaudible to Jayfeather. Which came as a surprise to him. As his ears were the best in the clan.
And quite possibly the forest.
"Little louder please?"
He question impatiently. Leaning forwards on his front paws. Craning his ears out further to catch what Mosskit was saying.
"I'm... I'm..."
She stopped again.
But before Jayfeather could say for her to spit it out. She had already beaten him to it.
"I'm from Thunderclan."
She didn't have much hesitation in her voice. But rather, realization.
"I am Mosskit. Of Thunderclan."
To be continued...
