No excuse, except I've been pretty uninspired. Lots of things have happened in the last year, which is why I haven't written. I know, you don't really care, you just want the story to continue! So, here I am! Hope it's good. And, I really am sorry for the long wait, but I did NOT drop the story, and I won't. I want to finish it!

KimberleyFrost- I'm sorry I killed off one of your favorites! There might be a few deaths coming up. I definitely know that there will be one. ;)

wakeupnaked- Here you go! (Sorry it took so long!)

kittykatluvur777- Lol, I know. I wasn't ready for the story to end, so I threw in a dramatic turn!

excentricaluli- Thanks! I like to make sure that my readers don't expect what is going to happen!

Honoria Granger- I enjoy being evil, in writing anyways.

Now on to the chapter!

Sarah tried to see where she was, but all she could see was darkness. Darkness all around her. The last thing she remembered was Artemis hugging her. Everything after that was a blank space. Valentina popped into her mind, and she screamed for her. There was no indication of any kind that anyone was around to answer her. This time she screamed out for Jareth, who also didn't answer her. Sarah had this feeling of dread inside of her. She felt like something bad had happened, or was going to happen. The only question left was, what was going to happen.

Sarah stood up and felt around her. There was lots of space. It took a couple of minutes before she felt anything. A smooth wall. She walked holding onto the wall for a few more minutes, and she still hadn't figured out where she was. Suddenly, lights came on and she had to close her eyes to get used to the lighting. It was harsh light. So bright that it was almost like looking into the sun. "Finally, we're alone."

Sarah's eyes opened immediately and she looked around. She knew she heard a man talking, she just couldn't see him. It almost sounded like Darin, but that couldn't be. He was dead. "Who's there? Show yourself!" She took another look around, and she saw that she was in a very large room that had marble walls. There were no doors or windows. Most importantly, there was no one else in the room with her. Where had that voice come from?

"Why don't you take a guess who I am." The voice chuckled and a chill went up Sarah's spine. "If you get it right, I'll give you-" Again he laughed. "better accommodations."

Sarah shook her head. "I'm not playing games. All I want is my child and my husband!"

"You'll have one soon enough." Then the voice yelled, "Guess!"

Sarah's immediate thought was that if Jareth had taught her how to transport, she wouldn't even be in this mess. Again the voice yelled at her to guess and she said the first name that came to mind. "Jareth."

All of a sudden, arms were around Sarah and a hand covered her mouth. "How dare you call me that spineless jellyfish's name. I am not Jareth, and I would never want to be!"

Sarah tried to wrestle out of the arms around her. It was no use. This person was just too strong. Sarah knew who it was, but she didn't want to admit it. Not even to herself. It was too scary to think about. How could it have even happened? She saw with her own eyes that he was killed. He wasn't even around when Jareth had left her and Artemis alone. That's when it clicked in Sarah's head. Darin must have killed Artemis and made himself look like Artemis. It was the only way that Darin could have touched her with her ring on. She looked down at her hand and noticed that her ring was gone.

Instead of fighting with Darin, she went limp to let him a false sense of security that she wasn't going to fight against him. When she didn't fight him for a couple of minutes, Darin let her go and turned her towards him. "Where is my ring?" She asked him calmly.

"Is that any way to talk to your future husband?" So, he's still delusional. "Not delusional darling." He caressed her face and she pulled away. "I just know that you're going to be mine."

"How did I even end up here? I was with Artemis the last time I can recall."

She knew exactly what happened. Darin had faked his death. "Darling. You know what happened."

"I know that you pretended to be Artemis, but I don't know anything else."

Slowly, Darin nodded. "True. You don't know the specifics." He walked around her slowly, like a cat circling its prey. "Would you like to know everything that happened last night?" Sarah thought about it for a moment. Did she really want to know what happened? Of course she did. She just didn't know if she was going to like what she was going to hear. Sarah let out a breath and nodded. "Fine then, let's begin." Darin swayed his arm out and a chair appeared next to Sarah. "Have a seat, it's going to be a long story." When Sarah didn't sit down right away, Darin pushed her into the chair. "Well, I'm pretty sure you remember Jareth being told that his mother is dead. That isn't exactly true."

"So, Esmerald isn't dead?" Darin shook his head no. "Then why would you say such a thing? Especially about your own mother?"

"Am I telling this story, or are you?"

Sarah held up her hands. "Sorry. Continue."

A chair appeared out of nowhere and Darin sat down right in front of Sarah. Close enough to touch her. "Anyways, Jareth immediately ran home to father and made sure he was okay, per your request." Darin looked aggravated. "You also allowed him to bring Valentina, which was not part of the plan. The plan was to have Valentina with you when I took you. Now I have to go back and get her, and when I go back, she's going to be heavily guarded, so I hope that she doesn't get injured when I go to take her."

Sarah flew out of her chair and had her hands around Darin's neck before he could react. "You leave her out of this!"

Easily, Darin took Sarah's hands off of his neck and sat her back down on her chair. Before she could get up again, he restrained her to the chair. "You must calm down. Especially if you want me to continue telling you what happened last night." Sarah muttered an apology and Darin continued. "After they left, Rowanda wanted to go to sleep, but I decided we should stay up talking. I even suggested she sit in Jareth's throne. Saying that he wouldn't care. So that's what she did, and I restrained her to the throne. Before you even knew what was happening, I took the ring off of your finger and put it on the table before-"

"Wait, you can't touch that ring! How did you get it to come off?"

Darin smirked. "I was Artemis at that point, it was easy to slip off the ring after I knocked you unconscious." Sarah didn't believe it. She didn't feel like she's been knocked out. Her head didn't hurt and she could of sworn that there wasn't a bump on her head. "I don't have to actually hurt you to knock you out. It's called magic." That made sense to Sarah. "Anyways, once I took you back here, I got you into a comfortable bed for the night."

Disgust ran through Sarah. "We didn't do anything inappropriate, right?"

Darin winked and continued on. "This morning I put in here. Because I knew that Jareth would be looking for you, and this place blocks anyone from sensing magic. So, he can't find you." The fact that he hadn't answered her question really bothered her.

"You can't leave me in here forever. You can't. I need my daughter and my family. You can't keep me apart from them."

Darin shrugged. "I can." He stood up and walked to the back of Sarah's chair. "If you don't remember them or the fact that you're married to Jareth."

Sarah shook her head vigorously. "No. No, you can't! I have a daughter to remember!" Jareth wasn't on her top list of people to remember at the moment. The only one there was Valentina. Of course she loved Jareth, but Valentina was always going to be her top priority now.

Darin laughed. "Do you really think I would make you forget your own daughter? Even I am not that cruel. If you remember, Jareth is the cruel one."

"But yet, you want to erase my memory and make me forget everyone I love!"

"Not everyone. Not myself or Valentina."

"I don't even love you!" She almost threw up just saying the words. "You're in denial about me having feelings for you."

Darin came and stopped in front of Sarah. "Maybe not right now. But you will. Especially after you lose your memories and I'm the only man, sorry, I meant person, around you. You'll have no choice but to acquire feelings for me."

"Have you thought that maybe your magic won't work on me? I am Fae after all."

"So wasn't Tonasia, but I had her memories erased."

"How did that work out for you? She still wouldn't marry you because she thought that she belonged with someone else."

Darin laughed. "I guess there's only one way to tell if you will be like her or not."

"Please don't do this Darin."

Darin got down on his knees. "Now Sarah, begging isn't going to help." His eyes lit up as a thought came to mind. "We're changing your name after your memories are erased. Sarah just doesn't fit you as a future queen."

"I am a queen!"

Darin swayed his head side to side. "True. But you won't remember it. Now, the quicker we get this over with, the quicker I can go get Valentina and bring her to you."

Sarah tried to use her magic to get out of the restraints on her hands, but it was no good. Nothing was working. "Darin, please. Don't do this!"

"Stay still now." Darin stared into Sarah's eyes and even though she was trying as hard as she could, she couldn't seem to stop staring into his eyes. It was almost like her eyes were frozen on his. Finally Darin stood up and gave Sarah a smile. "I'll be back shortly with Valentina. Jareth will be dead, and my remaining family will become my slaves."

"Darin, don't do this!"

"Don't worry, you won't remember any of this in the morning darling. And in the morning, we'll figure out a much better name that is suited for you." He bent down and kissed her then he waved and vanished from the room leaving Sarah utterly helpless and alone.
