"AH! PORKY!" Steve scolded. Porky stepped off Steve's chest with a whine, and if it was possible, he would be pouting. Steve slowly rose up off of the ground, and he sat on the bed next to me.

"So I assume this is your house?" Steve sighed, pain laced in his voice. I nodded my head, forgiving what happened not even 5 minutes ago.

I yawned and I drank one of my health potions. I had just patched Steve, and Sirius up. Thankfully, Sirius was kind enough to change the bandages on my leg, and after those four health potions, the bruising was almost gone, and the hole has almost completely healed shut. Only a small scab left, and I wasn't sure if it was just left over from the healing or not. Sirius' wound looks much better than it was, and the gash was beginning to heal up completely.

I looked at the large bed in the opposite corner of the room; it was sitting there when I walked into my room. I Smiled softly at Sirius' sleeping form. I yawned softly, and I cocooned myself in the blankets.

I sleepily blinked my eyes, and I slowly unraveled myself out of the blankets. I sat upright, and I gaped my mouth open in a large yawn. I blinked my eyes slowly, and I rubbed the crust out of my tired, aching eyes. I looked at the bed across from me, and it was already made, and had a note on it. I balanced on my crutches and one foot. I hobbled toward the bed. I then lightly picked up the note;

I'll be gone for a few, low on food.

I smiled, and chuckled softly. Sweet little dude. I lightly placed the note back down, the whole time handling it like a brittle ice sculpture. I limped toward the cursed stairs. Well, at least they weren't one huge step; they were two much smaller steps.

I sighed heavily. I finally made it down those stairs, thankfully I didn't fall on my face. Almost did twice. I chuckled to myself. I should've installed rails. Well, after I'm better I will.

I hobbled over to the fruit basket. I snatched an apple, and bit into the juicy red gem. I felt the juices trickle its way across my tongue, sending a sweet-sour taste everywhere.

"Hey."

I choked on my apple, and I swallowed it down with difficulty. I forgot about him.

"Hey . . . " I said with a raspy voice. I coughed. "Hey." I said with a much clearer voice. I turned around, and I faced Steve.

"Sorry for, uh, startling you." He said sheepishly. I shrugged.

"It's not your fault." I said and chuckled. An awkward silence.

"Th-thank you . . . " Steve stuttered. I cocked my eyebrow at him.

"For . . . ?" I asked.

"Saving me." I mentally face palmed. Duh! I'm an idiot.

"Oh! No problem." I said and smiled. I can be so dense sometimes.

Another awkward silence.

"Uh . . . I'll throw some Bacon in the, uh, stove." I said awkwardly as I set my apple down. I hobbled over to the furnace, and I grabbed a handful of coal. I tossed the handful inside the furnace. I grabbed my flint and steel from on top of the furnace, and I dumbly blinked. How was I going to light this when I have to use crutches? I'd look like a retarded T-Rex that lost control of its arms. Not to mention that, if I did make a spark, I'd light the whole dang house on fire!

"Here, let me do it." Steve kindly volunteered. He quickly, yet gently took the flint and steel and lit the coal. He rummaged through my chest, shortly before he pulled out bacon from it. He laid them out on a pan. He then slipped the pan inside of the oven. He left me there, registering what he did.

"Thank you." I said and smiled.

"You're very welcome Midnight." He said as he rose up from his bending position. I blushed when I realized we were almost touching each other. He was looking down at me, kinda weird. I felt my heart hammer inside my chest, and it felt like it was about to bust the seams. I did not feel comfortable this close to a man. Especially after what that thing did to me when I was little. The grip on my crutches tightened, and I just froze stiff. Suddenly, I felt his lips touch mine, and my eyes opened widely. His arms wrapped around me, and I couldn't move, I could even breathe all from fright.

My brother pinned me to my bed. He slammed his lips against mine, and I struggled with all my strength. I bit down on his disgusting foul tasting lips, and a strong taste of blood filled my mouth.

"AHH! YOU LITTLE B****!" he shrieked at me after he yanked away. His lips had a jagged hole where my teeth were. With pure rage and sick desires, he ripped my shirt.

I screamed and pushed against his chest to no avail. Oh heck no! Not again! I should have never trusted that two-faced Devil, and I shouldn't have let that thing into my house!

His lips parted from mine, and his grip released me with a yell. I fell to the floor and I caught a black blur with a large hand wrapped around Steve's hair. Sirius lifted Steve off of the ground.

CRAA-AACK!

"AHH!" Steve yelled as Sirius flung him into the wall. Sirius dropped the handful of hair, and Frosty grabbed Steve's arm viciously, and she clamped down, literally squishing his flesh. A steady amount of blood flowed from him, and Frosty shook her head, spraying red blood everywhere. Sirius grabbed that thing and opened the door. I watched through the window as Steve was sent into a large tree 5 blocks away.

"SQUEEEE!" Porky squealed as the derp-eyed pig flew out the door to Steve's side.

I realized tears were flowing down my face, and sobs racked my body. The door closed with a loud slam. I heard a bubbling noise, and before I knew it, I was being cradled.

Sirius' POV

Rage was boiling over inside of me. I was about to castrate that imbecile, I would have, if I didn't have my human to attend to. I scooped her up in my arms, and hugged her into my chest. Midnight was shaking uncontrollably and she was sobbing loudly. I felt her tears burn my skin, but I couldn't care less.

I balanced her thin body on one arm, and I brushed her hair away from her face and she looked miserable. Her eyes were listless, and she looked like she was staring into nothing. Did he do something else to her? What was hurting her so bad? I had a million questions, and I couldn't ask anything, due to our gap in language. I dashed up the stairs, and I sat down on my bed. I pressed my forehead against hers, and I looked deep in her vivid blue eyes.

So much pain was in her eyes, fear, even though he was long gone. I examined her; she had no clothes torn, and no bruising, what is wrong with her? I wish I knew part of the reason, but I had to help her somehow until I found out. I pulled her into my chest, and I slowly rubbed her thin and bony back.

After about an hour, her sobs finally turned into sniffling, and I didn't feel any tears burning my skin. She shifted in my arms, and she buried her face into my chest

Midnight's POV

The memories finally subsided. My past was still floating around in my mind, but I got the flashbacks under my control. I was buried in Sirius' chest, and I didn't want to leave at all. As odd as it sounds, I felt . . . secure. More than I have in years, I guess because I knew he wouldn't let anyone hurt me. A dog can only do so much, not like he could. We were both laying on his bed, and I was pressed against his chest. I felt him shift, and I could tell he was gazing down at me.

"Thank you." I mumbled into his chest. He gently pulled my face out of his bandaged chest, and he pressed his forehead against mine. He was gazing deep into my eyes, and I stared back into his deep purple eyes. A few moments passed, and he tucked my head under his chin, and he wrapped his arms around me tightly, giving me a secure hug. I blushed, and curled back up, enjoying his warmth.

His hand slid under my mass of black locks, and he began to softly run his long fingers through it. It sent a delightful, tickling sensation throughout my scalp. I closed my eyes, and I began to doze.
