"I've never danced like this with anyone but you." I whispered, and I felt him lay his cheek against the top on my curls. "I think I've become addicted to it." I felt him laugh, light and playful.
"Maybe I have too." My heart definitely skipped a beat.
"D-do you think maybe we could keep doing this?" I swallowed hard, knowing that I had jumped ahead of schedule. He stopped moving, but didn't shift positions. I felt the anxiety make the blood in my veins run cold, and my pounding heart was spreading the chill faster than I could handle.
"Keep doing what, exactly?" I felt a heavy weight settle in my stomach, and I decided it was best not to venture further. I was right to think that taking it slow was my best course of action, and I forced the words out of my mouth.
"Dancing, lets keep dancing." It sounded weak, but I hoped he would buy the excuse instead of pressing further. The last thing I wanted was for this, whatever it was, to end before I really had a chance to figure it all out. I needed to bide my time, to decide where to step next.
I'll make him fall for me just like I'm falling for him.
"Alright." He seemed to tense a bit, and I felt him take a deep breath. "I was wondering if you might, maybe, like to try doing something with just us when we go back." I pulled back with wide eyes and nodded. Being alone would help me learn more about him, it would be ideal to start making myself someone he wanted to keep around.
"The interruptions have been rather annoying, it might be nice to have a night without them." He smiled softly, and reach up to tuck a stray curl behind my ear. His finger hoovered there for a moment while he spoke.
"I couldn't agree more." He leaned forward, his hand moving to cup the line of my cheek.
Our gazes locked; I found a new emotion in his crimson eyes that I had never seen before. I couldn't find words that could properly describe the intensity of it, no matter how hard I racked my brain for them. The space between us practically crackled with electricity making the little hairs at the back of my neck stand on end. Liquid fire replaced the blood in my veins as his other arm tightened around my back, pulling me flush against his chest. The scent of spiced rum hung heavily in the air, mixing with the essence that surrounded him (I was still struggling to give it a proper name; it was just so uniquely Rogue).
My breath grew ragged as I noticed a throbbing against my thigh. I realized that he was getting just as worked up as I was, and it made the temperature of the fire coursing through me rise. A ripple of savage satisfaction tore a path from my lower region all the way to my fingers and toes; pride in my ability to affect him so intensely lifting my lips into a sultry smile. All the feelings of uncertainty washed away when I felt the heat of the bulging appendage through my thin dress.
He wanted me, just as badly as I wanted him.
As if by their own volition, my hands shot out, catching the man around the back of the neck. Surprise crossed through his lust darkened eyes; the inner Lucy was screaming that I was on the right track, that I should keep going. I was through with waiting, I was finished pulling away just because someone was watching. I wanted to know how he tasted, and I was going to find out.
"I will kiss you this time, no matter what." I barely recognized my own voice; it was low and lush, laced with unprecedented desire for the dark haired man who had been driving me crazy for days. The surprise melted away as shadows swirled around his eyes, dark and dangerous. There was no reason to wait for words as we closed the distance at last.
Every fiber of my being felt alive as his lips moved against my own; the kiss was eager and exuberant, filled with need. I felt his hand shift from my cheek to lace through the curls that had come undone during the night. I arched into the kiss as sharp teeth caught on my bottom lip, pulling a sound out of me that I'd never heard before along with the tang of fresh blood.
I felt a shiver run through both of us, as we broke apart. His hand traveled down the back of my neck over the cool silk of my gown till they resting lazily on my hips again. I let mine travel up to knot in his hair again, ready to pull him back for another heated kiss. He had awaken something in me, a primal passion that had been lurking deep down inside, waiting eagerly for release. I wanted more, I needed more; I wasn't sure if even that would be enough to satisfy the new sense of hunger that burned in my lower regions.
I couldn't hold back any longer, so I let my lips crash onto his again, not caring who could see us. The rest of the world could go to hell for all I cared, because I was finally with someone that felt as intensely for me as I did for him. My kiss grew more urgent, as the moments passed, breaking the contact only to take little breaths. His hands were moving along my sides, making a trail of white hot fire as he went. By the time we broke apart completely, I was gasping trying to gather enough oxygen to continue. I leaned forward pressing my forehead against his, and letting my eyes travel from his kiss bruised lips up to his eyes once more.
There was a question in his gaze, one that told me that he needed more too. I stopped to think about it, knowing if I didn't at least weigh the pros and cons I would end up kicking myself for just running off with him. My mind traveled quickly through it all, lingering on how upset I had been when Cana had insinuated that I had allowed it to happen with a person I wasn't involved with. Then it skipped to how I had never wanted that physical contact with the pink haired boy so it wasn't an issue to keep my hands to myself. This was on a level that wasn't even close, I cared for this man in a way that was frightening and exhilarating all at the same time. This was what it felt like to really be in love with someone, what I felt for Natsu could never compare to the intensity of how I felt about Rogue. A smile sprang up as that thought crashed over me. I had already fallen head over heels for this man and I wanted to continue falling even deeper.
I nodded my head, letting him know I was ready to move forward; before I could register what was happening, he was pulling me from the room. His fingers laced through mine as we passed the main lobby, not stopping to talk to the people calling our names. We rounded a corner, then went up two flights of stairs, only stopping when we reached a door with gold plated numbers on it.
He skillfully unlocked it and pulled me inside.
Once he had the dead bolt in place, my back was pressed against the cool wood surface. His mouth was on mine again, and all sense of rationality I might have possessed went flying out the window. I could still taste the rum as his tongue pushed past my lips, but it wasn't nearly as potent or intoxication as his scent wrapping so thickly around me that I didn't think I could breath without it filling me lungs. My hands worked over his shoulders, trailing down the lines of his arms, then back up to enjoy the feel of his hair under my fingers again.
I submitted to his every whim, letting his hands work on the buttons of my gown as my hands knotted in his hair. He fumbled a few times with the smaller ones, but soon enough he had them all taken care of. I was unraveling faster than I could have imagined as my dress dropped to the floor, leaving me in nothing but the red corset and frilled lace underwear (and the garter that held my keys and silk hose that ended on my thighs). He pulled back taking a rasping breath; his eyes roaming over every inch of my flesh. I should have felt embarrassed, trying to cover myself from his hungry gaze but I wanted him to look, to drink in the sight of me, to become addicted to it.
"Lucy" My name rolled so effortlessly off his tongue; I hadn't expected something so simple to send the fire in my veins into a blazing inferno of maddeningly relentless lust. There was to much distance, and clothing between us, I made up my mind that I needed to fix that. I closed the distance this time, pushing him back into the room, my mouth working against his as my fingers made for the buttons of his shirt.
He hit the base of the bed, and we toppled backward, breaking the kiss as I pulled my legs up to straddle his lap. I pushed his bangs back, and traced the thin scar on his nose before descending on his mouth once more. The kiss grew fiercer and deeper with every passing moment, the heat where our bodies were nearly connected increased to a level that made the rest of me feel cold in contrast.
I finally finished with the last button and pulled back to admire the expanse of his sweat-sheened muscular stomach and chest. I ran my hands over the surface, taking a sick pleasure in the feeling of those muscles trembling under my finger tips. His hands shot up into my hair, pulling me back down into another heated kiss as he rolled me onto my back, fumbling with the belt on his pants.
Lucy-sama, you really need to get up now.
The voice was foreign, but so close that it made me pull away from his lips. I looked around the room, completely sure that we had been alone just a moment ago. When I was satisfied that no one was spying on us, I went to drag him back for another blazing hot kiss only to find the scene around me dissolving. I didn't want it to be over; I reached forward groping for something that would allow me to stay there with him, wrapped up and giving him every last part of myself.
"Not yet." My voice was heavy, laced with sleep. "Just a little longer." I pulled whatever I had grabbed down with me, nuzzling my face into the soft warmth of it. It was quiet for a moment before a soft giggle broke out next to my ear. I frowned when I recognized it as feminine. Reality came crashing down as I opened my eyes to see Yukino folded into a bear hug under the covers with me.
"I'm sorry I had to wake you, it sounded like a good dream." I went from pink to the deepest shade of blood red imaginable within five seconds as I realized that not only had she heard me talking in my sleep, but my face as pressed into her chest.
"I-I-I need a shower." I unceremoniously kicked her off the bed and rushed for the bathroom.
Meeting with the two men in the morning had been decidedly awkward, we got breakfast, and I spent most of the time dodging the Blue Pegasus Host Boys. I was exceedingly happy when Rogue showed up to rescue me from Hibiki after his third attempt to convince me to come home with the three of them. He let an arm snake around my waist as if it were the most natural thing in the world, and shot Hibiki a sickly sweet smile. I made my excuses from there, letting the assumption that Rogue and I were together settle into the other man's head. He took his time studying the interaction before shoving his hands in his pockets, admitting defeat for the day.
I was amused that Rogue kept his arm around me as he steered us to the exit, Yukino and Sting were already waiting. I ignored the raise eye brow of the Rogue's best friend as I was helped into the carriage. Immediately Rouge had his head in my lap, and I couldn't help but laugh before handing him the piece of candy. I gave one directly to Sting this time around before the driver set out.
Yukino seemed reluctant to offer her services for the trip back, but I couldn't really be bothered with them as my hands moved along the lines of Rogue's jaw. I was content, continuing the little ritual for about half an hour before Yukino burst into laughter. She was snickering and repeating little bits of what I had said in my dream state. I tried my best to ignore her, but it only increased her volume.
"I get it, alright! I talk in my sleep, it's hilarious. Haven't you teased me enough already?" I growled at her, glad that she hadn't mentioned my extremely embarrassing dream to the two men who had thankfully fallen asleep before she had started her first fit of giggles. It wasn't my fault that my mind wanted the night to end differently, or that Rogue was on the verge of giving me permanent brain damage.
"I'm sorry Lucy-sama, I've just never been pulled into bed like that before." I groaned as she went into a fresh batch of giggles.
"Old habits die hard Yukino; I probably thought you were Happy." It was a lied, a bold faced lie, and I was fine with that. "Or Erza, she is always crawling into my bed when we are out on a job."
"Whatever you say, Lucy-sama." Her eyes were sparkling with the information I knew she was on the brink of telling. I don't need ANYONE, let alone Rogue knowing I had an e-e-e-erotic dream about him. I wished I had something that I could throw at her, that wouldn't cause damage to the immobilized dragon slayers. Finding nothing that was suitable, I went with a verbal assault instead.
"You're lucky I took pity on you last night, you know that right? Cana was about to play the prank of the century on you when I showed up." She stopped laughing, her eyes going wide. Step one of plan shut Yukino up was successful.
"What do you mean?" She barely remembered the night past the first round of our little drinking game. Rogue and I had a good laugh tell them about how ridiculous they had looked when we collected them before heading to our separate rooms.
"You asked 'would you rather kiss a fish or sleep in a trash heap?'; it was risky to give her an idea like that." I was lying again, but I didn't care, if it got her to drop the whole embarrassing dream then it was worth it.
"She wouldn't!" Yukino was nearly hysterical, her voice raising to an unnatural octave, making Rogue tense under my fingers.
"She would, and she would have taken pictures." I informed. "You owe me, and I'm collecting. Drop the whole dream thing." She nodded her head with wide eyes. Bribery and bluffing, Erza would have been proud.
The next hour and a half was spent in silence as I went over what really happened after Rogue and I agreed that we wanted to do something with just us.
I need to bide my time, to decide where to step next.
I'll make him fall for me just like I'm falling for him.
"Alright." He seemed to tense a bit, and I felt him take a deep breath. "I was wondering if you might, maybe, like to try doing something with just us, when we go back." I pulled back with wide eyes and nodded.
"I couldn't agree more." He took another deep breath, and let his hand fall to his side. Rogue looked so relaxed that I felt the last of my resolve breaking, I wanted to force the issue. I leaned forward, intent on getting to finish what we had started, several times. Our noses touched, my eyes sliding closed. I was almost there, so close I could smell the rum on his breath. My hand laced through his hair, willing him to stay put.
"Princess, I've brought the bags you asked for." I turned to look at her, my eyes narrowed in anger. It fades when I felt pressure on my cheek, soft and warm. The world flipped on its access when I realized that it was Rogue's lips on my cheek. I was frozen to my spot, eyes wide until a flash brought my attention back to reality.
"Did you get it?" Cana asked with excitement.
"Of course." Gildarts had a smirk as he handed something over to the card mage.
"Perfect, I'm off to meet my Nemesis, this place is out of booze already." She waved slipping the item into her purse.
"Tell Bacchus I say hi." I called to her, breaking away from Rogue as I waved to my friend. I moved to take the bags from Virgo, giggling when I spun to see that Rogue hadn't made a single move. I pushed his bag into his hand and reached up to put a small kiss on his cheek before heading to drag Yukino off to our room. "I'll let you handle Sting." He finally seemed to regain his own senses, and tossed me the room key before grabbing Sting by the collar.
"See you in the morning." He called as he went on ahead, a broad grin on his face.
"Yeah, see you in the morning." I liked the sound of that.
The carriage pulled to a stop, and again Sting was thrown to the floor. He shot Yukino a weak but venomous glare, as she got up and left in silence. I snickered as he pulled himself up, grumbling about how Rogue got the motion sickness treatment the whole time when he didn't. Rogue and I hung back as the other two started to argue about something, their voices carrying with insults and anger.
"Looks like they're going to be breaking it off again." Rogue shook his head with an exasperated sigh. "They are both too melodramatic, breaking up every time they have the smallest argument, it's really annoying."
"Maybe it's best to let them alone for a while." Yukino had taken off one of her heels to throw at Sting's head, he dodged it, which pissed her off even more.
"That was the plan." He let out a small laugh. "You might not want to go back to her apartment by the way, the next week won't be pretty." I felt the all to familiar heat rise to my cheeks.
"I guess that room Orga suggested might be a good idea then." I sighed.
"Frosh was kind of hoping you'd stay with us." I felt a smile creep up when I noticed the small hint of pink that had risen to his cheeks; it was clever to use the small green exceed as a cover.
"Well, I don't want to let Frosh down." I answered with a laugh, and the smile I loved so much came back to his face. "Besides I did tell him that I would make pancakes again."
We silently decided to ignore Yukino and Sting as we made our way back toward the guild, letting their argument grow quieter as we got further from them. The evening before had made it suddenly easier to be near Rogue without losing my breath, and I was finally able to appreciate the sense of calm that radiated off of him in waves. I let myself go with the feeling, and laced my fingers with his, pretending not to notice when he looked over. I hummed happily as I started pulling him forward, excited butterflies dancing in my stomach as I put my new action plan into effect.
It was already late in the afternoon when we arrived in the main hall where dozens of people where milling about, chatting about things I couldn't careless about. My mind was focused on the fact that Rogue and I were still holding hands. Soon enough I spotted Rufus, perched at a table with two people I didn't recognize talking animatedly before he caught sight of us.
"I take it the meeting was enjoyable this time?" If I could see his eyebrows I would certainly find at least one of them raised in amusement, I was sure of it.
"It wasn't as horrible as usual, I don't think I even noticed Master Bob this time." He shrugged before pulling me forward again. He only let go of my hand when we took our seats.
"And where is our fearless leader this time?" I was starting to think that none of them took Sting's role as Master seriously.
"Dodging projectiles." I supplied the answer with a snicker.
"Where's Frosh?" The dark haired man asked with a chuckle, joined by a soft laugh from Rufus.
"Napping in the office." Rogue seemed to take a minute to think before he turned to me.
"Do you mind staying here for a little while?" He suddenly looked a little nervous, and I had to suppress a fit of giggles.
"I don't mind." He took a deep breath and got up, shooting Rufus a warning glare, before walking off. I watched him go, wondering when we were going to get to do the 'something' that he had talked about the night before.
"Lu-chan!" Levy was squealing into the lycrima that was in my jacket pocket; I got it out as quickly as possible.
"Hello Levy-chan, what is it today?" She was practically bouncing on her heels with excitement.
"You need to tell me everything! RIGHT NOW!" She held up a small square and put it in front of her face, and shock ran through me.
"How... WHERE did you get that?" I nearly fell off my seat as the image came into view. I could feel my cheeks burning as she pulled it away, a glint of pride flashing across her hazel eyes.
"Unimportant, you need to tell me every detail, NOW!" Levy was roughly shoved to the side as the screen was filled with red hair.
"Yes, every detail." Erza agreed, and she was shoved aside as well.
"How could I have missed it!?" Mira wailed, tears of joy streaming down her face. "So pretty... the pretty, pretty babies." Mira was shoved aside as Cana came onto the screen.
"Party fouls will be punished accordingly. That's what you get for tapping out before the game is over." She was sticking her tongue out at me.
"That's fine, do you have more than one copy?" The other side of the connection went deathly silent as they stepped back to look at me. "What, it's a good picture?"
"Lu-chan! When did, no, I take that back... How, no... oh my god, oh my god, OH MY GOD!" She was squealing now dancing around like a maniac.
"Happy said slept at his house." Erza raised an eyebrow, her cheeks were as red as her hair.
"Ten, you need to have ten beautiful babies, and I will spoil them all!" Mira started dancing with Levy.
"I call God Mother!" Erza and Cana hollered before glaring at each other.
"You are all crazy, you know that right?" I could feel the nervous sweat gathering at the base of my neck as the two started to argue about my imaginary children. "You are blowing things way out of proportion."
"What's going on? I could hear screaming all the way from the entry." Yukino came up behind me with a look of confusion.
"YUKINO-CHAN!" Mira cried getting in front of the screen with the picture. "WE missed it!"
"I'm not surprised, you should have seen them at breakfast this morning." I wanted to strangle her again.
"I knew we should have gotten up earlier!" Mira cried before she was shoved aside again, Cana took over the line of sight with a playful smile.
"It's not that big a deal, you all should really calm down." I tried my best to keep my voice even, but they were drawing more attention than I was comfortable with. "Nothing really happened."
"Oh, so little miss innocent isn't embarrassed in the least that she got caught with Mr delicious?" I swallowed hard, my throat suddenly very dry. "That's what I thought, so when's the date?" I stared at her in disbelief. What is she talking about? "Oh come on, don't tell me that you didn't put that together yet? For such a smart girl you are extremely dense!"
"W-w-w-were you listening?" I couldn't force myself to calm down, and I could feel the heat rising again.
"Of course I was, and hanging out, alone, just the two of you... that is a D-A-T-E!" She shifted her gaze to look at Yukino. "You, Miss Thing, need to stay out of it now, no more third wheel." Yukino raised her hands in submission.
"I was only making sure Lucy-sama wasn't getting in over her head." She let her hands fall down to her hips as she continued. "They were practically all over each other the first night she got here, if I didn't step in."
"She liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiikes him!" Happy's voice came from the background.
"Hold up, were you in on this too?" I turned to Yukino.
"Cana told me about it last night while you were talking to the Princess." I turned back to Cana to see a satisfied smirk.
"Were you the mastermind behind this whole thing?" She shook her head.
"That would be me, actually." I was shocked to see Gray step forward. "I couldn't just say, hey you're miserable then send you up there. You never would have gone."
"It was my idea to knock you out!" Mira chimed happily.
"I hate you, and I will kill you when I get back." I directed my comment at Gray this time. "I'm perfectly capable-"
"We can see how capable you are." Erza cut me off. "We were worried that you would feel duty bound though, and we all felt like you could use a little push."
"When you put it like that; I guess, I should say thank you." They were all smiling now.
"So I don't have to die anymore?" Gray raised an amused eye brow.
"Oh no, you'll still die, along with the person who packed my bag." Everyone turned to Erza and Mira (they both shrugged their shoulders completely unafraid of retribution).
"Who are you threatening now?" I turned to see Rogue with a playful smile walking towards us.
"All of them." I pointed to the lycrima. "Mainly Gray and Cana though."
"Why me?" Cana asked with a laugh.
"For eavesdropping on private conversations." I growled.
"I'm going to head back for a nap, did you want to pick your things up and meet me there?" Yukino interrupted, a small knowing smile curling her lips.
"Lucy isn't taking her stuff back to your place." The lycrima went quiet again, and I knew they were listening intently. "She's going to stay with me."
Cue the high pitched squeals.
"I TOLD YOU!" Levy was jumping up and down happily.
"b-b-bbaabbbbiiiieeeees-sss-s" Mira stammered before fainting.
"Stop making such a big deal out of thing." I groaned.
"Our little Lucy is all grown up now!" Cana teased.
"Shut it, Cana." I sighed in defeat. "I'm going now, make sure to make a copy of that picture for me." I let the screen go dark and shook my head.
"What on Earthland was that about?" Sting finally stumbled his way into the conversation, looking like Yukino had beat him over the head with her heels (if they were made out of Gajeel's metal of course).
"Cana is a crafty little devil." Yukino smirked at him, then turned back to me. "So you're ok with staying at Rogue's place?"
"Yeah, it's more comfortable than sleeping on a couch." I looked away, knowing that wasn't even close to my reason for staying at his house.
"I have to ask, what was in the picture that made them react like that?" Rufus interrupted, the smile on his lips growing ever so slightly when Rogue seemed interested as well.
"None of your business." Yukino sang happily. "You two have fun, I really am going to take that nap now."
I watched her go with a small smile before putting the lycrima back into my pocket. I settled back in the seat as Rogue finally sat down himself, laughing at Sting as he limped over to sit next to Rufus. The two started a hushed conversation, most likely explaining what he could about the conversation, and reactions. It didn't take long, and when they broke apart Rufus was laughing. I could see that Rogue had put together the pieces from what he could hear of their conversation.
"So that was what they were up to?" He whispered to me.
"Cana was trying to embarrass me." I let a small smile curl my lips again. "She didn't account for my decision to ignore interruptions from now on."
"What a coincidence, I decided that too." He smiled back at me before turning to Rufus and Sting who had suspicion written all over their faces. "Let Frosh know I'm back when he gets up, but keep him here for a couple more hours." He turned back to me again the smile never leaving his face. "We're leaving for a while."
"We just got back, why the hell are you going out again?" Sting was completely clueless.
"Have fun." Rufus on the other hand knew exactly what was going on.
I let Rogue lead me again, his hand wrapped around mine as we walked towards his house. The excited butterflies had made a come back when he opened the front door; we were alone, completely alone. I took off my shoe and jacket before following him inside. The smell of something delicious drifted in the air and I couldn't stop myself from looking for the source. My eyes went wide when I realized that it was coming from the kitchen, and I heard Rogue start to laugh.
"You assumed I was hopeless in the kitchen just like Sting right?" I felt guilty the instant he said it, because I hadn't really given it any thought.
"Not, hopeless per say, I just didn't expect it. Honestly none of the guys I know can cook, well except Elfman, but he's Mira's brother so I know it's genetic." I started laughing as well, letting the nerves die. I wanted this to go as smoothly as possible, so I moved towards the kitchen. "It smells really good."
"I'm sure it's not as good as anything Mira can come up with, but it's not bad either." He walked over to the couch, and I followed like a lost puppy. He pointed to several cases set on the dark coffee table, so I went to look at them. Movie lycrimas, so we were going to do dinner and a movie. There was an action flick, a classic gangster movie, a romantic comedy, and lastly a horror movie.
"You want me to pick?" I raised an eye brow and he chuckled.
"I like all of them, so you can decide." So he's seen them all, that's smart.
"We are going to watch it after we eat, right?" He nodded before getting up to go to the kitchen.
I sat down where he had been and pulled the different cases over so I could see what the movies were about. The action flick didn't have much of a plot, it was all about explosions and killing bad guys. That's my every day life. I tossed it to the side and picked up the horror movie. The plot doesn't really matter; if I go with this one it's an excuse to cuddle up and act afraid even if I'm not. I moved over the the romantic comedy and read through the description. This sounds like one that Levy and Erza would like. Boy meets girl, unforeseen circumstances tear them apart then he spends the rest of the movie trying to get her back. If I go with this one, what kind of message does that send, am I girly and mushy? He already said he likes all the movies though so maybe it's not completely a mushy feely kind of plot.
"You probably shouldn't think about it so hard, it's just a movie." I turned to see Rogue leaning in the doorway, laughing.
"Horror or Romance. The choice is just to hard." I sighed putting them on the table again.
"We could watch them both if you want." I considered the possibility for a while, then made my decision.
"You pick which one we watch first then." He laughed once more before going back into the kitchen. "Do you need any help?"
I didn't wait for a response and swept into the kitchen before he could say no. I was familiar enough with it to pull down plates and the other things I would need to set the table. Rogue only shook his head at me, laughing as he moved things from a pan to a serving tray. When he came out he told me to look through the bottles and find one I liked; I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into, but I obeyed. The wall that was honeycombed had a variety of different spirits from wine to bourbons that were older than my late father. I expressed my surprise, and he laughed again. Apparently being one of the top mages in one of the top guild gave you a fair bit of financial wiggle room. It was a thought that had never accrued to me.
Red wine sounded wonderful so I picked one that was a few years old and returned to the small table. It was nice, to sit and eat like that, having polite conversation about our friends and plotting my dear friend Gray's death. Rogue was just as surprised about Gray's involvement in the plot. I assumed it was Gray telling Rogue that he approved of the pursuit of something more than friendship between us. Rogue had agreed with my guess and we both laughed about it. I was amused that Gray felt the need to give his permission.
Rogue decided not to fight me about the dishes after we had finished, allowing me to wash them as I drank my third glass of wine. When that was finished I made my way over to sit next to Rogue on the couch. He had taken the time to start a fire in the grate because the sun had gone down, and there was a small chill in the air. I was half tempted to run up stairs and change into something more suitable, it would be much to easy to cozy up for warmth if I wasn't wearing a skirt. On the other hand, wearing a skirt gave me more reason to be cold, since my thick black thigh high stockings only did so much. In the end I let it go when his arm wrapped around my shoulder and pulled me into his side. He had a thick blanket thrown over the back of the couch, and a bout half way though the horror movie he pulled it down, thanks to the small chattering sound I was trying to hide.
It was nice, being wrapped up together like that, his scent was all around me, making it easier to watch without getting super freaked out.
There just had to be ghosts, possessions and ghosts.
There were no words for how disappointed I was when the movie ended and he went to switch it to the second one. I wouldn't have an excuse to randomly press myself against him anymore. Just the thought of doing that without a good reason made me blush, but I fought it back not wanting him to see that I was so affected. Once he was back in place, I was instantly pulled back into his side. I found myself watching the movie more intently this time, enjoying the way the two lead characters interacted with each other. It leaned to the comedic side of the genre far more than the romantic side, and I was enthralled by the story. It had me laughing and at points there were scenes that made me feel like I might cry.
It was a wonderful roller coaster ride of emotions, and I found myself completely drained at the end of it. My vision was hazy and the warmth was so comfort that I didn't want to move. I decided to just close my eyes till Rogue decided he wanted to get up, that was fine. So long as he was still sitting there I could too. I let my heavy eye lids slide closed and smiled, snuggling into his side.
I apologize if there are any typos... It took me all week to pick just one date scene... I hope that made you happy! Supreme Leader is out!
