Chapter 8: Amusement Park

Amu's POV

After dinner, we headed to the amusement park.

Yaya was jumping like crazy once we got off the car. She kept pulling us and asking us to hurry up. Kukai was holding the tickets so he got pulled by Yaya most.

At the entrance, there was a line to get in. It wasn't very long but Yaya kept complaining about how slow it was going. I, too, can't help but feel excited and wanting the line to go faster.

Finally, Kukai gave the tickets to the person at the counter. (A/N: I forgot what that person is called. It can't be a cashier right? He is just collecting and selling tickets.)

Yaya went running in and asking us to hurry up. Yaya really is like a little kid even though she is already 20.

Before we rode any of the rides, Kukai suggested splitting up. I think he just wanted alone time with Utau.

Yaya happily agreed and dragged Kairi off. Rima just boredly followed Nagi. Of course, Utau went with Kukai.

So...

That means I'm stuck with...

Ikuto!

Why him again?! I thought I could enjoy my night.

"So Amu... We're alone again," he said, smirking his damn smirk.

"Whatever..."

"What? You're not happy to be with me?"

"Obviously not!"

"Not even a little?"

"No!"

"Come on Amu... You like being with me,"

Come to think of it, I do like Ikuto's company sometimes. Wait! He's just messing with my head! Stop falling for it Amu! Urg...

"No! Stop annoying me!"

Ikuto chuckled. "So anywhere you wanna go?"

"With you? Nowhere..."

"Ow... Amu, I'm hurt..." He faked a pained look. "I know you like me being with you."

"Stop doing that! You decide where to go."

"Really?" He smirked. Great! I knew he was thinking something and it's not good.

He led the way and I just followed behind me.

He finally stopped and I looked up.

No way!

I-I-it's t-the HORROR HOUSE!

(A/N: Is it horror house or haunted house? Let's just go with horror house cause in the manga Ikuto also brought Amu to a horror house and it did say horror house.)

I hate the horror house! It's really scary. No way I'm going in there! Actually I never been in a horror house but I've seen movies and they look really scary.

"No way am I going to go in there!"

"Aww... Is Amu scared?"

"N-no! I-I just never really liked them"

"Sure..." He didn't believe me. I was scared and probably the worst liar ever. I was even stuttering. I'm sure he won't believe me. "Let's just go."

"No means no!"

"Come on, Amu. It'll be fun. Plus, you did asked me to choose," he smirked. "If you're scared, you can always hold on to me."

Now he was teasing me! Great! I should have never asked him to choose.

He dragged me in before I can protest anymore.

(A/N: I've never been in a horror house before so I don't know what it's like. I'm just going to try and think what it's like and some stuff I see in movies. Amu's reaction might be a bit ridiculous but people get really scared right?)

It was really dark. I'm sure something is going to suddenly jump up. I stood close to Ikuto but I didn't hold him. Though I really want to, it was embarrassing and Ikuto would definitely tease me.

I was right...

Suddenly, something -I don't even want to know what- jumped up and scare us. How can Ikuto stay calm?! He just stood still with an expressionless face.

I, however, screamed so loud. I think Ikuto could have gone deaf. My first reaction was grab Ikuto! I was hugging him so tight, like my life depended on it. My face was buried in his chest. I didn't care if he was going to tease me later on.

Ikuto put his arms around me and hugged back. He lead me towards the exit which was only the end of the horror house. There were things jumping out and I kept screaming, a little softer than the first time though.

I was hugging the whole time. Ikuto also wrapped his arms around me and whispered reassuring words in my ears.

"It's ok."

"Don't be scared."

"I'm here."

"We're almost there."

What seems like forever, we finally reached the exit. When I saw light I let go of Ikuto. I looked down, embarrassed. I knew Ikuto was going to tease anytime soon but he didn't.

He put his hand under my chin and tilt my head up. My honey golden eyes staring straight into his beautiful sapphire eyes.

"You ok?"

I wiped my tears away and nodded. I must looked like a wreak.

"I'm sorry."

I looked at him, confused. Why was he apologizing?

"I shouldn't have dragged you in there. Sorry you got so scared," he pulled me close to him and hugged me.

After that, he bought me cotton candy to cheer me up. I was feeling much better. He was looking at me eat. I blushed and he smiled. I hardly see him smile. He always have his signature smirk on. It was nice for him to smile. I can't believe I'm thinking this but he looked kind of cute.

Ikuto's POV (Before the horror house)

After Amu said I could choose where to go. The thought of bringing her to the horror house immediately came. Seeing her scared and clinging on to me would be amusing. I smirked. She have no idea what she is going to get. Though she looked like she knew I was planning something.

I lead the way to the horror house. Personally, horror houses are not scary. Every horror house have things jumping out, scarring people. I never get scared though.

I wonder if Amu is scared of horror house. Usually girls get really scared of these stuff, like Utau, she gets really scared of these things and I always tease her.

Once we got there, Amu was saying she was not going in there. I started teasing her. Though she was trying to cover up, it's obvious that she is scared.

(A/N: I don't want to repeat the whole conversation. I think you guys will get bored reading it again.)

I didn't care whether she was against going in there, I dragged her in.

It was dark but I was able to see Amu. She looked scared. I was waiting for something to jump up and she will cling on to me. Horror houses are always like that, at first there is nothing then there will always be a jump scare.

I was right...

Something jumped up and scared us. I didn't get scared though. I just stood there. But Amu screamed and hugged me. She was hugging me so tight, her face buried in my chest and she was shaking like crazy.

I put my arms around her and lead her to the way out. She was crying so hard. I whispered words in her ears to try calm her down. I didn't know she will get this scared.

We finally reached the end. She let go of me and looked down. I tilt her head up. Her eyes were puffy but I could still see her beautiful golden orbs. I make sure she was alright and bought cotton candy to cheer her up.

She looked so cute eating the cotton candy. She saw me looking at her. She blushed and I smiled at her.

After she ate finish, I was thinking of where to go next. I wanted to go to the roller coaster. It look really epic. I had to ask Amu first, in case she doesn't like roller coasters.

"So, where do you want to go next?"

"Hmm... I don't know."

"Roller coaster?"

"Sure! I love roller coasters," she smiled. I was a little shock. The girl love roller coasters? She was so scared of the horror house. I guess she likes trilling stuff not scary stuff.

"Ok. Let's go."

There was a line at the roller coaster ride. We only waited for a while though. It was soon our turn. I like sitting in front of the roller coaster but since Amu is here, I decided to sit in the middle. But looks like Amu likes sitting in front too.

"I want to sit in the front. Come on."

Once everyone was seated, the ride started. It was going up. We were at the top then the roller coaster was speeding down. Amu raised her hands in the air. She was screaming but it was the kind when people have fun. I just let the wind blow against my face.

The ride went different directions. It even went upside down. Amu looked like she was really having fun.

The ride stopped at the same place it started and everyone got off.

Amu's POV (After the roller coaster ride. I'm not going to write a POV of Amu on the roller coaster)

That was fun. I love roller coasters. We decided to play mini games. (A/N: You know those small stalls you win prizes. I don't know what's that called. I'm just gonna call it mini games.)

We went to a mini games stall where we had 3 chances to try and knock down the cans. I saw a little cat stuffed toy that looked really cute. (A/N: Sry I don't know what it's called. I don't go to amusement park or fun fairs a lot. The stuff toy cat looks like Yoru.)

Somehow, the cat reminds me a lot of Ikuto. But it was really cute and I wanted it.

I paid the guy and he have me 3 balls.

I threw the first one and it hit only the top can. I threw the second ball and I missed. I heard Ikuto snickered beside me. I was determined to hit more balls and he won't laugh at me again. I threw the third ball but it only hit one can.

Gosh! Why?!

Ikuto chuckled. He went up and paid the guy and he gave him 3 balls.

Ikuto threw the first ball and it already hit half of the cans. He threw the second ball and it hit the rest of the cans. He didn't even need to third ball. I gasped in awe, while Ikuto was smirking.

He went and choose the cat stuffed toy and hold it in front of me. I stared at him.

"Didn't you want this?" He must have seen me looking at the toy.

I blushed and slowly nodded. He smiled and I took it. This was the second time I seen him smile today. He really does looked cute when he smile.

After playing a ton of other mini games, I decided to choose a ride.

I was thinking of what ride to choose. In the end. I choose the teacups.

"No way!" Ikuto protested. "Those are for babies."

"Please Ikuto. You dragged me to the horror house. Just go on this with me."

Ikuto didn't answer immediately. Finally, he sigh, "Fine. But just this once."

"Yay!" I dragged him to the ride.

Ikuto said the ride is for babies but I saw many adults going on the ride. Some were couples and some were families bringing their kids. I picked a pink teacup and went in.

"Come on Ikuto!" Ikuto was still outside. The ride was going start and he came in.

Haha!

The teacups was just nice for me but it was too small for him. He couldn't put his legs down. I was laughing so hard. He looked ridiculous!

"Shut up!"

"Ok ok..."

"I knew this was a bad idea. I must look ridiculous."

"You do," I said, still choking on my laughter.

"Urg... Shut up! I knew I shouldn't agree to do this." He was clearly angry.

"Ok! I'm sorry," my laughter died down. "But it's sweet of you agreeing to this."

"Oh really?" He smirked. Great! Now he's teasing me. He was angry then suddenly he's teasing me. Is he bipolar?

"Why is it when I say something nice about you, you have to tease me?"

He just shrugged and kept quiet. He looked away and put his hand under his chin. (A/N: Like in the anime.)

The ride stopped and we got out.

"You want to go to the Ferris wheel? At the top, you can see the city lights. It's really beautiful."

I nodded and we headed there. We went into a midnight blue cart, like Ikuto's hair colour.

The ride started. It was going up. The whole time we didn't talk. The Ferris wheel was very big so it went up very high. At the top, I could almost see the whole city. The lights were very beautiful. I looked down at the people in the amusement park. They were really tiny, like ants.

"Wow!" I exclaimed as I admire the scenery.

"Yeah. It's really beautiful." I looked at him. "You are too."

My eyes widened and I blushed. "You're just teasing me again."

"I'm not. You are beautiful," I blushed even more.

The moonlight was shining on him. His hair covered a bit of his eyes but I could still see his gorgeous sapphire eyes and long eyelashes.

He looked...

Handsome.

This was a different side of him. The sweet side and not the teasing one.

He suddenly reach his hand out and touch my cheek. I blushed. He was also leaning in.

He looked like he was going to kiss me. I don't know why but I didn't feel like moving away. Our foreheads were touching each other's. His lips coming closer to mine. My heartbeat speed up. Just a little more...

BAM!

We both jumped by the sudden sound. We stare at each other and looked out. There were different colour fireworks blasting in the air. It was beautiful.

The fireworks stopped with one final blast. The ride started going down slowly. I then remembered what happened before the fireworks.

Were we really going to kiss? Did I want to kiss him?

I'm so confused. I've never felt like this before. Over the months I've been with Ikuto, I really drawn closer to him. I've seen different side of him, his perverted and teasing side, his sweet and soft side. He can be annoying but I like his company. When I'm with him, naturally I drop my 'cool & spicy' act. I feel like I can be myself when I'm with him. I'm really confused.

Am I falling in love?

Ikuto's POV (On the Ferris wheel ride.) (A/N: Sry for all the POV changing!)

We were in a cart and it was slowly going up. The cart stopped at the top and we could see the city lights. It was really beautiful. I would always stand on top of my dad's company building to see this scenery. I knew it would be the same on top of the Ferris wheel.

"Wow!" Amu exclaim. She was clearly enjoying the scenery.

"Yeah. It's really beautiful," she looked at me. "You are too."

Her eyes widened and she blushed.
"You're just teasing me again."

"I'm not. You are beautiful," She blushed even more.

The moonlight was shining on her. She looked so beautiful. She have the most beautiful golden eyes, always shining. The moonlight shone on her, making her eyes shine even more.

She truly looked beautiful.

I don't know why but I had the sudden urge to kiss her. I reach my hands and touch her cheek. She blushed and I slowly lean in. Surprisingly, she didn't back up. Our foreheads were touching each other's. My lips going closer to hers. Just a little more...

BAM!

We both jumped by the sudden sound. We stare at each other and looked out. There were different colour fireworks blasting in the air.

The fireworks stopped with one final blast. The ride started going down slowly. I went back to reality.

What is this feeling? I wanted to kiss her and hold her in my hands.

I'm confused! I never felt like this before. Before I met Amu, I always been playing with girls feelings and just making out with them. I didn't care if they were left heartbroken. But ever since I met Amu, I didn't feel like doing all those things. I like hanging out with Amu. I like to tease her, make her blush. She was really cute. Somehow, she made me feel complete. I'm so confused about all this.

Am I falling in love?

Normal POV

Everyone one of them met at the entrance, satisfied and ready to go back. They have been at the amusement park for a few hours and everyone had loads of fun.

The drive back were full of laughter. Some were talking about their experience on the rides, especially Yaya.

Once they reached school, everyone was tired and they headed to their dorms.

Before Amu went to hers, she saw Ikuto going into his dorm. She ran towards him.

"Thanks Ikuto! I had fun tonight," she smiled.

Ikuto was a little shocked but smiled. Amu went back to her dorm and he went back to his.
