Ok, I shall not rant about all the excuses. So this chapter is all in Amu's POV. It's summer holiday for a month. So yep, that's about it!

Chapter 12: Summer Holidays – A Trip to the Beach
Amu's POV
"Summer holiday is coming soon! Today is the last day of school!" Yaya shouted. "What you guys going to do?"
Yep, summer holiday. It's the last day of school before summer holiday. That also means Ikuto and I have been dating for almost 2 weeks.
"I don't know. We haven't made plans yet," Nagi said.
"We should go on a trip together," Kukai suggested. "Like we did last time. Except without Amu."
"Yeah, but where should we go?" Kairi asked.
"Don't you Tsukiyomi's have a beach house?" Rima asked while drinking juice from the packet she was holding. "If you guys want to go to the beach."
"Yaya wants to go to the beach!" Yaya was seriously too excited.
"You guys have a beach house?" I asked Ikuto that was sitting beside me.
"Mmhmm..." Ikuto took a bite from his sandwich. "It's actually near resort that my dad owns but we have our own beach house a little further from the resort. It's private, for us when we go on holiday, nobody can go there."
"Oh, that's cool."
"We haven't go there for awhile. We can go together," Utau said.
"Ok," I said.
"Then it's settled. We are going to the beach," Kukai exclaimed.
The next day
"Wake up! Wake up!" Someone shouted. Who the hell is shouting?! I was having a good dream. I checked my phone, it's only 8:32am. (A/N: It's really early to me. But the time I wake up for school is much earlier.) I looked up to see Utau was the one shouting.
"W-why are you shouting so loudly this early?" I said to Utau while rubbing my eyes.
"We got to go shopping!" Utau replied. "We are going to the beach. We should go get a swimsuit and stuff like that."
"But the mall is not even open yet," Rima said. Yaya was still sleeping. She can't be woken up easily.
"Oh yeah," Utau replied innocently. "Well then, you guys can take your time to get ready."
"Urg, you woke us up for nothing Utau!" Rima scolded.
"Hey, I'm sorry ok? I want to spend the whole day shopping at the mall and I don't want to waste any time."
"Yeah but still. Maybe you could have went ahead of us then we'll meet you there.
"Ok ok, you girls don't fight," I said trying to calm them down. "Since we are awake now, why don't we just slowly get ready or go for breakfast?"
"Fine, we can go for breakfast," Rima said. "Utau, wake Yaya up."
"Why me?"
"You're the alarm clock, aren't you?"
"W-what?!"
"You two, stop it!" I shouted. "I'll wake Yaya up, ok? Just stop fighting."
"Ok," they both mumbled.
Yaya woke up after I shook her and called her name for so long. She sure can sleep.
We got ready and went for breakfast.
After breakfast, we went to the mall. It was already quite crowded even though it just opened.
"Come on, Amu. We are going to get you a new swimsuit," Utau said, dragging me to the store.
"Why? I already have a swimsuit," I said, trying to keep up with her.
"Let me guess, it's pretty old and it's a one piece."
"Uh yeah..."
"Then, we have to get you something new and sexy~" she smirked. "Like a bikini."
"W-what? Why?"
"You gotta make Ikuto nosebleed."
"Urg... Utau no!"
"Rima, Yaya, you girls can go find something for yourself too. I'll be helping Amu find something."
"Kay," Rima replied, walking away to one of the racks.
"Ok," Yaya said, showing the 'ok' sign. "What should Yaya get?"
"Up to you, Yaya."
"Yaya thinks she should get a cute swimsuit," Yaya said to herself while looking around.
Then Utau dragged me to the racks that have bikinis.
"Utau, I said I don't want it."
"Nope, we are getting you something. I'll pay."
"No! You can't do that."
"Sure I can," she said, looking through the different bikinis. Gosh, she is so persistent. "How about this?"
It was a plain blood red coloured bikini.
"No! Definitely no."
"Oh, just try it."
I knew that she won't let me off, so I took the bikini and walked towards the dressing room.
"I'll get you some more to try," Utau said while I walked to the dressing room.
I went in and tried on the bikini. No way am I going to wear this! It showed to much skin. I didn't like it.
"So how is it?" Utau asked from outside my door.
"It's way too skimpy, Utau."
"Let me see."
"No. I don't like it so there is no point."
"Fine. I got a few more for you to try. Open up, I'll pass it to you."
I open the door and took the pile of swimsuit Utau passed to me. There were so many. It was all a 2 piece swimsuit.
I took the first set that was at the top of the pile. It was silver and the material felt like plastic. I don't even have to try it to know I don't like it already. I didn't bother to try and just put it one side.
I tried on a few more and all of it was just weird and uncomfortable. There was one that was comfortable and the design wasn't weird. It was stripes with many colours.
"Amu, open the door and just show me what you are wearing," Utau said from outside. I opened the door, wearing the colourful swimsuit.
"Hmm... Not bad," she said. "Do you like it?"
"I guess so. It's pretty comfortable."
"Ok, try on the others."
"I already did. I don't like the rest."
"Oh ok. You want to try on some more?"
"Can I not? I already tried on so many. And I already found one I like."
"Ok ok... But I found one I think will suit you. Last one, ok?"
"Ok fine."
She handed me the swimsuit. It was another bikini. It was midnight blue and there was a little design at the right side of the bikini, bottom and top. It was a small cat holding a strawberry.
I tried it on. It was also quite comfortable. But the design...
"How is it?" Utau called. I opened the door to show her.
"Oo... I knew it would suit you. Is it comfortable?"
"Um yeah... But the design..."
"Oh that's the point Amu! I saw the design that's why I let you try it."
"But–"
"No buts. It's nice. If you're not buying it, I'll buy it for you. I'm sure Ikuto will love it."
"Wha–?"
"Ok, you can change out."
I didn't argue anymore. I went in and change out of the swimsuit and back to my clothes.
I came out to see Utau holding beach skirts. One was green and the other was blue. Both of it had floral design on it.
"We should get one of these," she said.
"Uh ok..."
"The rest of the designs weren't very nice. These 2 are ok. Which one you want?"
"Anything. You choose first. I'll take whatever."
"Ok. Then I'll take the green one."
"Ok. That leaves me with the blue."
"You ok with that?"
"Yeah, of course. It's nice."
"Ok. Let's go pay."
We paid for the swimsuits and beach skirts. We found Yaya and Rima at a bench outside the store, eating ice-cream. They already bought their stuff.
The rest of the day, we went to shop for other stuff and just have fun.
2 days later
Today is the day we go to Ikuto's beach house. I got all my things packed into a small suitcase, including the blue bikini. I did bring my old swimsuit in case I don't want to wear any of the bikinis.
We haven't decided how many days we were going to stay there. But it isn't a problem. We can easily buy groceries and wash our clothes there.
"Yaya is so excited!" Yaya shouted again. Yaya have been saying that all morning.
"We know Yaya, we know," Rima said obviously getting annoyed. She was sitting on the bed reading another manga.
"Ok, I think we should get going," Utau said, looking at the time on her watch. "The guys should be ready."
We went over to the guys dorm. They were all just relaxing on the bed. Ikuto was sleeping.
"Hey, are you guys ready or not?" Utau asked.
"Yeah," Kukai replied. "We were waiting for you girls."
"Well, we are ready so let's get going," Rima said boredly.
"Yeah, let go! Yaya is so excited!" Yaya shouted.
"Okay," Kukai, Nagi and Kairi took their luggage.
Ikuto was still sleeping. I went next to him and gently shook him, "Ikuto, wake up. We're going."
It didn't take long before his eyes slowly opened. He was a light sleeper, he could be woken up easily.
When he fully opens his eyes, he did something that caught me off guard. He leaned up and kissed me.
"Morning beautiful," Ikuto smiled. Gosh, he's so cute. I was so caught up in the moment, I didn't realize everyone was staring.
"Okay, love birds. Time to go," Kukai said, making me realize they were still there. I blushed.
Ikuto chuckled. "You're so cute." He got up and took his luggage. "Come on babe, let's go."
We headed to the beach house. We told each other jokes and just chatting on the way there. Ikuto slept for awhile. He lay his head on my shoulder. He was so cute when he was sleeping but I'll never tell him that. I'm too embarrassed.
Finally, we reach the beach house. It was pretty big. Ok, it was huge.
"The beach house! It's super big!" Yaya exclaimed.
"It's not the first time you came here, Yaya," Kairi said.
"Yeah, but still..." She was already running towards the front door.
"Yaya, come take your luggage first!" Nagi shouted.
"You can't even go in yet," Rima said.
"Mou, fine..." Yaya pouted.
We took our luggage in the house. It was really spacious and clean.
"So where is our rooms?" I asked Ikuto.
"Well, we haven't planned that yet," Ikuto replied.
"I'll go with Yaya to the back room," Rima said boredly while picking up her luggage, ready to go the back room she mentioned.
"Ok, it's fine with me, Rima-tan," Yaya said happily. It's quite easy to please Yaya.
"Since Utau and Kukai, Ikuto and Amu are a couple, you couples can share a room. I'll go with Kairi," Nagi suggested.
"Okay! Agreed!" Kukai immediately agreed.
"Eww... Who would want to share a room with you," Utau said, trying to pretend to be disgusted but I knew she was happy.
"It's settled then?" Ikuto asked.
"Whatever," Utau said, without arguing anymore. I smiled. I knew she was ok with the plan.
Everyone took their bags and headed to their rooms.
"So Amu, we'll be sharing a room," I turned around to see Ikuto smirking. I kinda forgot that Ikuto and I are sharing a room.
"S-stop smirking! L-let's just go to the room already," I blushed a little. I took my bag and went up the stairs. Ikuto did the same and caught up with me.
"Don't worry I won't do anything you won't like," he kissed the side of my head gently. I blushed even harder.
I just continued going up the stairs. There was a corridor and doors all closed along the corridor.
I turned to Ikuto that was behind me. "Um, which room is ours?"
"Here," Ikuto went to the second door on the left. "It's my room whenever we come here."
He opened the door and I took a good look at it. The room had different shades of blue on each side of the wall. The bed sheets were midnight blue, like Ikuto's hair. Even the curtains were blue but a lighter blue. Basically the whole room was blue except for the furniture which was made of wood so it was brown. It was also very clean.
"Wow, so much blue!" I exclaimed after taking everything in.
"Yeah, I guess it's my favourite colour."
"Yeah, I can see that."
"You can put your clothes on one side of the cupboard."
"Okay."
The cupboard was dark brown that it almost seem black. It was separated into 2 parts. I unpacked my clothes and put them neatly in the cupboard.
After I was done, I looked around the room to see Ikuto wasn't there. Just then, I realized there was another door in the room besides the toilet. I went towards it and saw it opened a little. It was a balcony and Ikuto was out there.
I went out and saw the view from there. It was amazing. The balcony was facing the beach. It was just spectacular.
"Wow, so pretty~" Ikuto turned around when I said that.
"Isn't it?"
"Hmm..." I leaned forward against the railing. Ikuto wrapped his hands around my waist and leaned against me. He was so warm.
"You're so warm," I sighed in relaxation.
"Hmm... Really?" I could feel vibration from his body when he said that. "You're really warm too."
I didn't say anything else. We just stayed there. It felt so nice to be in Ikuto's arms.
However, our moment was broken when someone shouted. "Hey guys, stop whatever lovey dovey you're doing inside there and come out. We are going for lunch."
We went downstairs to see everyone in the living room.
"Everyone's here. Where do you guys want to go for lunch?" Rima asked an added,"I'm hungry."
"Don't know," Kukai said. "I'm hungry too so anything is fine."
"I feel like eating at the little restaurant by the beach," Utau said. (A/N: Sry I couldn't think out a name for the restaurant. I'm very bad at making names out.)
"What restaurant?" I asked.
"There's a restaurant by the beach at the resort," Ikuto told me. Seems like everyone else knows about it. They must all been there before.
"The food there is very nice," Utau said. "You gotta try it. Can we go there?"
"Sure, I'm fine with it," Nagi said.
"We could change into our swimsuit and hang out there too," Utau suggested. "There are also small shops we can go shopping."
Everyone agreed and went to change into their swimsuit.
On the way up to the room, Utau whispered, "Wear that swimsuit we bought that day and make Ikuto nosebleed."
I ignored her but inside I wanted to do that. Not Ikuto nose bleeding, but I wanted to wear that swimsuit.
I went in to see Ikuto digging his bag for his swimsuit.
"Hey, you want to change first?" He asked.
"It's ok, you can go first," I replied.
I opened the cupboard and took out the swimsuit. I turned around. Ikuto wasn't there anymore, he already went in to change.
I was still thinking of whether to wear it or not when Ikuto came out of the toilet. I decided to suck it up and wear it. I wanted too but I don't have the courage. Now, I'm just going to do it.
"Your turn," Ikuto said. He was still wearing the shirt he wore just now, just that he change to his swimsuit shorts.
"Mmkay," I replied. I took the bikini, tried to hide it from Ikuto and dashed into the toilet.
Phew! At least he didn't see it. The bathroom was pretty big. There was a bathtub and a full body mirror.
I changed into the bikini and looked into the mirror. I looked just like that time tried it. I wore my clothes over the swimsuit and went out.
"You done?" Ikuto asked when I came out.
"Yeah, I wore my swimsuit inside," I replied.
"Ok."
I put my beach skirt, wallet and handphone in my handbag and we went downstairs. Kukai and Utau were not there yet so we waited for them but they didn't took long to come down.
"Hurry up, slow pokes!" Yaya whined. "Yaya wants to go already."
We took beach umbrellas, surf boards and lots of towels to sit on.
We took a walk there. Yaya kept complaining. But it wasn't a long since it was quite near.
There was quite a lot of people at the beach. There were families on vacation, couples on honeymoons and friends on a holiday trip.
Utau came up to me and asked, "You want to wear the beach skirt? It's pretty hot and what's the point of wearing our swimsuit when we cover it up."
"Uh ok..." Rima and Yaya also got themselves a beach skirt.
I was quite nervous. I never showed so much skin in public before and especially Ikuto. I always wore a one piece swimsuit.
I slowly took out my clothes and wrapped the beach skirt around my waist.
I was putting my clothes back in my bag when I felt a someone snaked their arms around my waist. Muscular chest leaned against my back. I immediately knew who it was. Ikuto.
Before I could say anything, he said, "Lookin' sexy, babe."
I blushed. I knew he was smirking without even looking. "Uh thanks..."
"Hey, don't be shy," he turned me around. "You look hot and always beautiful."
I smiled. He always say something that makes me happy. Sometimes he teases me, sometimes he compliments me.
"Come on, let's go for lunch," Kukai called.
"Yaya is hungry! Let's go! Let's go!" Yaya shouted and ran towards the restaurant.
We all started walking towards the restaurant. Rima was behind us. Nagi stopped and waited for us to go then walked next to her.
Ok, that was weird.
We went to the restaurant and found a big table just nice for all of us. The food there looks so good that I couldn't decide. Ikuto told me to choose whatever I want and we can share.
He's so sweet.
That's what I realize when I started dating him. It's like he's showing another side of himself. His teasing side is still there though, which is fine. That's just how he is and I love him.
I decided on salmon cheese baked rice and some noodles. (A/N: I don't know what noodles to put so it shall be just noodles.) I also got mango smoothie.
We had a fun time chatting and joking. The food was really good too. I gave more of the salmon cheese baked rice to Ikuto since he likes fish.
After lunch, we decided to relax on the beach. We set up our towels and beach umbrellas.
Yaya dragged Kairi to play a beach ball. Rima and Nagi went somewhere—they just left, I don't even know where they went. Utau and Kukai went surfing. I took out my beach skirt, lied down on one of the towels and sighed in relaxation.
"Amu, you want a drink?" Ikuto asked. "It's so hot."
"Sure. Iced-lemon tea please," I replied.
"Ok."
"Thanks," I smiled.
"No problem, babe."
I closed my eyes until I heard someone said, "Hey there, sexy."
I opened my eyes to see 3 guys, shirtless and in their swimsuit.
"What's your name?" One of them came closer to me.
"Why should I tell you?" I replied coldly. These guys are obviously those kind of playboys.
"Why so rude?" Another guy squat down in front of me and grab my wrist. "We just want to hang out with you."
"No!" I shouted but not too loud. I didn't want to attract attention. "Leave me alone."
"Aww... Come on babe, we'll have so much fun together."
"Hey, she said leave her alone, didn't she?" Someone suddenly said from behind. I know that voice anywhere. Ikuto.
The guys turned around and I got to see who was behind. As I thought, it was Ikuto.
"And who are you?"
"Her boyfriend," Ikuto looks like he was going to beat that guy up. "So back off."
"Fine," the guys unwilling went off but not before one of them winked at me and said, "See you around."
"Hmmp!" Ikuto looked at them like he really wanted to kill them.
"Ikuto?" He looked back at me.
"Are you hurt?"
"Nope, I'm fine. Thanks."
"Those guys were too much," he sat down next to me and passed me my drink. "Here."
"Thanks."
"But I get it though."
"Huh?" What was he talking about.
"I get it why they come after you," he started while opening his can of coke. "You're just too damn hot."
I blushed. Ikuto saw this and chucked. Then, he kissed me on the cheek and smirked. Damn, that guy.
We sat there enjoying the sun shine and scenery. We also chatted about some stuff and of course Ikuto had to tease me.
While we were talking, I saw Kukai running over with Utau behind him.
"Hey guys, you can go do something else if you want," Kukai said, panting. "We can look after the stuff."
"Oh ok," I looked at Ikuto. "You want to go swimming?"
"Uh..." He sounds hesitant.
"Oh Amu, don't you know?" Utau finally caught up.
"Know what?"
"Ikuto hates water."
"I don't hate it. It's just not my favourite," Ikuto defended himself. Oh wow, something new I found out about him.
"Oh," I was kinda sad. I wanted to go for swim. But it's ok, I wanted to spend time with Ikuto even more so if he doesn't want to then I'll just stay here. "Well, then we'll find something else to do or just relax."
"Are you sure?" Ikuto asked. Utau and Kukai were drying themselves with towels.
"Of course," I said and smiled.
We chatted some more and of course more teasing from Ikuto. We also took a walk on the beach. It was kinda romantic. Ikuto held on to my hand, the sound of the ocean waves. It was nice.
"Hey, you really want to swim?" Ikuto asked when we were walking.
"It's ok," I replied. "Why'd you ask? You don't like the water and I want to stay with you."
"Well, you keep looking at the sea."
"Oh," I said in realization that I kept looking at the sea. "It's ok, really."
"If you really want to go, I'll go with you."
"But you don't like the water."
"Amu, I said, if you really want to go, I'll go with you."
"Really?"
"Really."
"Thank you, Ikuto!" I hugged him.
We headed to the sea. Ikuto stopped right at the edge of the water.
"Ikuto?"
"Uh, let's go."
"You sure?"
"Yep."
He slowly stepped in the water. His feet started to get buried under the sand.
"You ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," he look at me. "I'm not scared of water, just don't like it."
"Ok."
I splashed him a little and he started chasing me. We ended up falling in the water causing us to get totally wet and with me on top of Ikuto.
"Damn, you look even sexier when you're wet," Ikuto smirked. I blushed.
Then, he leaned up and kissed me. I was shocked at first but soon I too leaned in to kiss him. I wrapped my hands around his neck as he wrap his arms around my waist.
I was too in to the kiss that I didn't realized that there were people looking at us. They must be wondering why were we kissing in the sea.
Finally, we pulled apart. Ikuto looked into my eyes. His eyes are seriously so mesmerizing.
"You want to stay some more?" Ikuto finally asked.
"Only if you want to," I replied.
"Well..."
"Ok, let's go," I said, knowing that he wants to go out already.
We went back to the spot where all our stuff were. We each took a towel and dried ourselves.
Only Kukai was there. I wonder where Utau went.
"Hey Kukai, where's Utau?"
"She went to see what drinks were there to buy," he replied.
We just sat down when we heard Utau's name being shouted. I looked to my right side to see Utau running towards us with Rima chasing behind her. Nagi was running behind Rima too. It must have been Rima who shouted.
"Utau, stop!" Rima shouted again.
Utau finally reached where we were seated.
"You guys won't believe what I just saw," Utau said panting from all that running.
"What?" Kukai asked.
"Well, I went to buy drinks," Utau started. "Then, I saw Rima an–" She was cut off by Rima who finally caught up.
"Nothing happened," Rima said, pulling Utau away. "Ignore her."
Just nice, Kairi and Yaya came back from having all their fun.
"What's happening?" Kairi asked.
"Yeah, what's going on? Yaya wants to know!" Yaya said excitedly.
"Don't know," I told them. "Utau was saying something halfway.
Utau must have gotten out of Rima grasp because she was back and continuing the story.
"So, as I was saying, I saw Rima and Nagi by the rocks," Utau said.
"So?" Ikuto asked boredly.
"So, Rima was sitting on Nagi's lap and they were sharing drink," Utau exclaimed.
"Utau!" Rima shouted. She wasn't fast enough to stop her again.
Yaya gasp. "Rima and Nagi are together?!" Wow, she wasn't slow to get that.
"No!" Rima said immediately then continued, "Well..."
"Well...?" Utau said smugly.
Nagi was just standing there, saying nothing.
"Nagi is very quiet," Kairi said.
"Rima and I are going out," Nagi suddenly said. He turned to Rima. "I don't think we should keep this from our friends."
"It's not like we could keep it from them anymore since Utau said it," Rima finally gave in.
"See? I knew you liked him," Utau said.
"Oh, shut up!" Rima cross her arms.
"So, how long have you been keeping this from us?" I asked.
"Well, we kinda got together just a few days before you 2 got together," he gestured to me and Ikuto. Nagi looks embarrassed. He was blushing a little.
"Oh ok."
"Who confessed first?" Yaya asked.
"Can we stop talking about this?" Rima said, blushing.
"Hai, hai!" Utau said, ending this topic.
We decided to go to the small grocery store that was in the resort to buy things to cook.
Then, we took another slow walk back to the house. We all took a bath and hang out.
Utau cooked dinner that night with the help of Kukai but he was more like tasting the food than helping.
After dinner, we watched a movie. And by the time the movie ended, it was pretty late so everyone got ready to bed.
As I was going up to the room, I yawned. Ikuto must have saw me yawning.
"You tired?" Ikuto asked.
"Hmm... A little," I replied.
Suddenly, Ikuto just carried me bridal style.
"Ikuto, put me down. I can walk."
"Nope. My princess shall be carried to her room as she is tired."
"Ikuto," I rolled my eyes.
We went inside the room and Ikuto lay me down on the bed.
"I'm going to change to my pajamas," I said, getting up from the bed.
"Ok," he replied. "I'll change out here."
"Ok," I took my pajamas and went in the bathroom.
I change into my pajamas and brushed my teeth. After I was done, I went out to find Ikuto lying down on the bed shirtless.
He got up once hearing I came out and went into the bathroom to brush his teeth.
I went to lie down on the bed. A few minutes later, he came out and came on the bed too.
I was a little nervous. Sleeping on the same bed as Ikuto.
"Aren't you going to wear a shirt or something?" I asked.
"Nope, I sleep shirtless," he replied and lied down.
"Oh," I blushed.
"What? Nervous? Embarrassed?"
"Uh..."
"Come on, just sleep."
I lied down and Ikuto wrapped his arms around my waist. I blushed even more.
"Is it ok if I do this?" He asked.
"Y-yeah, it's fine." I liked it. It felt nice, warm.
"You sure? I don't want to do anything you don't like."
"It's ok, I like it."
"Good." I buried his face in my hair so what he said next came out was mumbled up. "'Cause I like it too."
With that, we fell asleep with me in Ikuto's arms.
