Trixy: I tried to tell them...Will they ever listen?
Me: *Shrugs* We'll see, won't we?
Chapter 7: A Spy
Marissa looks at the penguins and then at Skipper with a small sigh. "What do I have to work with?" She then asks. It is obvious that she does not really want to be there helping to find and rescue Kowalski.
Skipper looks at her and clears his throat. "Well...Nothing besides that he was kidnapped." He says and clears his throat.
The female scientist then rolls her eyes and looks at Trixy. "What do you know then?" She asks as she knows from past experiences that her youngest teammate often knows more about a situation than she will let on. Trixy clears her throat and takes out her notebook and shows it to her with a glance at Cecelia. Marissa looks at it curiously and adjusts her glasses. "Alright…" She murmurs. "So, I've got to plan around a possible s-" Trixy quickly grabs the scientist's beak with a rather harsh look.
"Shh! As Skippsy says, you can't let the enemy know that you're on to them. We don't want to end up like Bethany and Nicole!" She whispers to her. "Remember that time she told us about them and the poodles?!"
"Right, right…" The scientist replies and clears her throat. "But, shouldn't you tell Skipper then that there is a SPY?"
"SPY?! Where?!" Skipper exclaims as he hears Marissa. Trixy shoots the scientist a glare.
Marissa looks at Skipper and clears her throat. "Trixy has Cecelia under suspicion of being a possible spy." She says with a shrug. "She thinks she's not the real deal."
"What? Still, Trixy?" Private says with a slightly open beak. "I thought we already covahed that she is my sistah!"
Trixy looks at him. "That was before I did some furthah investigating, Priv." She says and looks towards Cecelia. Surprisingly, she no longer is there. "Speaking of her, where the Buckingham did she go?!"
Everyone then looks around also as Cecelia is no where in sight. There is a small click as the hatch closes above them. All eyes go to it. Then Skipper turns towards them all. "Catch her! We can't let the spy return to her masters!" He shouts and points towards the hatch. Everyone quickly hops up the ladder and out the hatch. Rico growls and sniffs some. "Come on, Rico, where is she?" Skipper asks.
"Da' way!" He grumbles and points. They all then slide in that direction, out the gate of the zoo. They get there in time to see a flash of black, white, and pink slide into a bush. Rico is there quickly as well.
"Release m-m-m-m-me!" The penguin starts short-circuiting after Rico tackled her hard in the bush. There are a few sparks and the others look at Cecelia.
"Hoover Dam...She was a spy...A robot spy…" He mutters and then looks at Rico. "Bring her back to the HQ." He then turns around to Marissa and Trixy. "You two, see if you can get the spy's overlord's name and number. We've got a date with justice tonight." He smirks.
"Are you sure libahty wouldn't make more sense than justice, Skippah?" Private then asks. "I mean, since we will be freeing K'walski?"
Skipper glances at him. "It's a double date." He grumbles and starts back to the HQ. Private and Rico look at each other and shrug a little before sliding after him with Rico dragging the robot back towards the HQ.
Marissa and Trixy also follow them, but a bit more slowly. "Mari?"
"Hmm?" The scientist replies and looks over at her.
"Do you think this means that Cecelia is in trouble as well?" Trixy asks.
Marissa shrugs and doesn't reply for a moment. "Most likely." She then says and keeps any further thoughts to herself.
Trixy nods some and then thinks. "When is Skippsy coming back again?"
"Not much longer...If at all…" She says and smiles a bit.
"What do you mean 'if at all'? Is'nt she coming back?" The Brit asks.
"Well...She was sent on a dangerous solo mission." Marissa shrugs. "There always is a possibility of her not returning from her missions, you know that. Remember that time she came back with a broken leg and sprained flipper? She could have gotten eaten by a bear or something."
"A beah?" She asks curiously and a little worriedly.
Marissa nods and shrugs a little. "She's in Canada; there are bears there...There could possibly be a bear that is hungry for penguin meat." The young private gulps a bit with a small nod before they both enter the HQ. "Anyway, we have a rescue mission to concentrate on. Skippsy can take care of herself. This idiot scientist on the other flipper…" She shakes her head. She and Trixy head over to the robot and Marissa takes out her laptop. "Now...Where is the plug in? It's got to have one somewhere…"
Trixy looks over the Cecelia clone closely and then finds a latch under the feathers on the clone. She flicks it up and opens a small panel. "Here." She says and points to a small plug in. Marissa nods and plugs a cord into it and into her computer and brings up a program. "You have a robot-clone program?"
"No." Marissa says as she types in a few passwords. "It simply tells me a pinpoint location of where it last had contact with a computer." She explains as she types in another password. Then a popup comes up with the bright red letters of 'Incorrect Password.' "Great...The clone's under password lock…" She grumbles and then tries to get through and guesses a few other passwords, each ending with the same result.
"Ehm, may I?" The private asks as she sticks her new invention into Marissa's computer a bit nervously and presses a few buttons on it. The computer then clicked on further into the program with the password cracked.
Marissa looks at her with raised non-existent eyebrows. "You made yourself a fancy little password lock breaker?" She asks.
"Sort of…" She replies and gives a little sideways nod. "It is supposed to be able to bypass any and all security systems…" She says a bit proudly. "I've called it The Integrated-Decryption-Decipherah 4000."
"You don't say?" The scientist replies with a small chuckle. "You didn't have to name it such a long thing…"
"But you and K'walski always give your inventions the longest nomenclatures possible!"
Marissa shrugs. "It's just so that we don't get it confused with our other inventions that have similar names." She says as she clicks her mouse and a map pops up on her screen. She clicks the map a couple of times so that it enlarges enough that she can see a little red blip. She clicks on the little icon with a frown. "Do you guys have an enemy that lives at Coney Island?"
"Blowhole!" Skipper then exclaims and smacks his fist into his other flipper. "I should have known that that crooked schemer would have taken Kowalski." He says. "Get the drone, Rico, we might as well bring Blowhole his doll back. Everyone else, let's get our scientist back!" Rico gets the Cecelia clone and they all follow Skipper to the little pink zoo coup.
"Have any fives?" Cecelia asks boredly.
"Go fish." Kowalski sighs in reply. Dr. Komodo had not too long ago stuffed them both into a different containment unit so that he could use their old ones to start creating clones of some of his friend's better and fiercer lobsters minions.
Cecelia nods and gets another card from their small deck between them. "You think your team is on their way yet?" She asks curiously.
Kowalski shrugs a little as he looks at his cards. "I would say that it is highly probable, but we can only hypothesize until they come bursting in. Have any Jacks?"
"Too true…" The female scientist nods as she hands Kowalski her two Jacks from her hand. She then looks over as she caught a little movement out of the corner of her eye. Sarah Vixen has come downstairs to them again. "Oh great, it's Vulpes Inproba…" She grumbles and rolls her eyes.
"Eh, I don't speak Latin…" Kowalski says and looks at her curiously.
"You should learn. It's not that hard." Cecelia mutters as she watches Sarah. "Vulpes Vulpes is the scientific name for the red fox. Inproba is a Latin adjective meaning wicked." Kowalski makes an 'oh' face and nods. He then looks over at Sarah, too.
"Alright. You get up." She says and points at Kowalski.
"Why?" The scientist retorts.
"You're the one who made the first monster MP3 player. The Doc wants you to do it again." Sarah says, rolling her eyes and yanking him up and out from the containment unit.
"And what if I won't do it?" He snorts and crosses his flippers stubbornly.
Sarah whips out a knife and holds it under Cecelia's chin. "You sure you want to ask that, penguin? I know how to slowly cut to create the maximum pain and a very slow death. You wouldn't want that for your little girlfriend now, would ya?" She evilly grins at him and lifts the knife a little. Cecelia also lifts her head some to avoid getting cut.
Kowalski looks at them and then at the ground. "Alright...I might remember how to make it…" He sighs.
Sarah grins viciously and withdraws her knife. "Glad that we could come to an agreement." She smirks and roughly shoves Cecelia back down in the cage and slams and locks it again. She then roughly grabs Kowalski and drags him up to her employer and the other evil mastermind.
Cecelia watches them silently with a frown. "I'm not his girlfriend…" She says, thoughtfully. "I mean, yes, he's nice and handsome...But, I've moved on…" She mumbles. "He would get bored anyway if we did start dating. In the long run he simply wouldn't enjoy dating someone of an intellect as high as mine. I know I would get bored and jealous if I was in his position." She murmurs and leans back in the cage.
